"Boy, what did you find?" asked the old Taoist priest.
"The magic weapon we are looking for is in the secret room behind this ice door." Xu Jianguo said.
"Is it so easy to find?" the old Taoist priest asked in disbelief.
Xu Jianguo nodded and said, "It's indeed a little too easy!"
"Boy, do you think this is a trap?" said the old Taoist priest.
"It is indeed possible. From the moment I entered this cave, I felt that this place was full of weird atmosphere, and there are several things I haven't figured out. First of all, we didn't find any forks or caves on the road, so where did the big black snake go? Where does the old bald donkey usually live? Secondly, there is only one road from the cave entrance to here. It stands to reason that the old bald donkey couldn't have failed to notice the existence of this ice door, so why didn't he take the things inside away, but instead kept them?" Xu Jianguo asked two questions in his mind one after another.
The old Taoist thought for a moment and said, "Indeed, the doubts you mentioned are what I've been thinking about. I wonder if you noticed that when we first entered the cave, the stench of the big black snake was everywhere. But after we walked for a while, when ice crystals appeared on the cave wall, the stench disappeared."
Xu Jianguo thought about it and found that it was indeed the case. He looked at the old Taoist priest and motioned him to continue.
The old Taoist priest continued, "Is there a possibility that we have unknowingly walked into another passage and ended up here? And this passage is one that the old bald donkey has never discovered."
Xu Jianguo wanted to shake his head and deny it, but he couldn't produce any evidence, because he felt that with the help of his night vision and the Eye of Time and Space, it was impossible for him and the old Taoist priest to walk into other passages without knowing it.
Seeing Xu Jianguo remained silent, the old Taoist priest continued, "And I have a feeling those ice crystals are also problematic. I noticed on the way there that they were constantly emitting cold air. If there's something like a knockout drug in that cold air, could that be the cause of our current situation?"
"Knockout drug? You really dare to think of it. It has been so many years since the founding of the country. It is no longer the era of martial arts heroes. Where can the knockout drug come from?" Xu Jianguo looked at the old Taoist priest with a helpless smile and said.
"Tsk, you know shit. This is all my experience. When you get lucky one day, you will know how valuable my experience is!" said the old Taoist priest unconvinced.
"Okay, okay, let's just pretend that we were drugged. What do you think we should do next?" Xu Jianguo asked.
"What else can we do? We've come this far, of course we have to go in and take a look!" said the old Taoist priest unhappily.
Xu Jianguo nodded and said, "Okay, please lean back!"
After the old Taoist priest stepped aside, Xu Jianguo did not make any move, and the ice door in front of him that was emitting cold air disappeared silently.
Although it was not the first time that Xu Jianguo did this, the ice gate was engraved with ancient Taoist runes and patterns, but it seemed so vulnerable in front of him.
The old Taoist sighed silently, thinking that no matter how glorious Taoism had been in the past, it still couldn't stop this kid's progress. He didn't know whether this was a tragedy or a blessing for Taoism.
When the ice door disappeared, a small ice room appeared in front of the two. Xu Jianguo walked in first, followed closely by the old Taoist priest.
Entering the ice room, Xu Jianguo immediately noticed a pure white object placed on a protruding icicle in the middle of the ice room. It seemed as if it had merged with the icicle.
The old Taoist priest behind him couldn't wait to step forward and exclaimed after a moment: "Ruyi!!"
Xu Jianguo bent down and looked at the object in front of him carefully. It was indeed the same shape as the Ruyi in his impression. However, he could not tell what material the Ruyi in front of him was made of. It was neither gold, wood nor jade. The simple shape did not reflect any light under the flashlight.
"Master, can you tell what material this thing is made of?" Xu Jianguo asked.
The old Taoist shook his head and said, "I can't tell. I've never seen such a material before."
Xu Jianguo didn't say anything, but with a thought, he put Ruyi into the space.
"Master, let's go, it's time for us to go back!"
"What about the old monk?"
Xu Jianguo thought for a moment and said, "I originally thought that the magic weapon was in his hands, but now it seems that I really wronged him. When we return, I will send him out of the space."
"Okay, let's go!" said the old Taoist priest.
Xu Jianguo took the old Taoist priest out of the ice room, then took out the ice door from the space and put it back intact. Then he thought about it, and the two of them disappeared from the spot and returned to the space.
It was almost four o'clock in the morning. After the two returned to the space, the old Taoist priest returned to Wuwei Temple by himself, while Xu Jianguo found Fu Bo and planned to ask about the old monk's situation.
Bringing Uncle Fu to the supermarket, Xu Jianguo took out a bottle of happy water from the freezer, unscrewed the lid and took a few gulps. After burping comfortably, he signaled Uncle Fu to start reporting.
It turned out that the old monk was not from Longxia. He said his name was Hama Genpa and he came from a temple called Nerue outside the western border.
Fu Bo didn't know whether these words were correct or not, he just recorded them through the old monk's oral narration.
The old monk was originally an ordinary monk in the Neru'e Temple. More than 20 years ago, when he was cleaning the scripture cave in the temple, he accidentally found a fragment of an ancient book. When he was reading it, he discovered the secrets of Taoism recorded in the book.
