Chapter 190: Fu Niu who doesn’t distinguish between left and right

At 6:30 the next morning, Xu Jianguo glanced at Funiu and Wen Sitian who were still sleeping soundly, and left the ward with his lunch box.

After washing up in the bathroom, Xu Jianguo ran to the yard downstairs of the hospital and took a walk around. While no one was around, he took out the fried dough sticks and boiled eggs made by Du Yu from the space, wrapped them in oil paper, and then filled a lunch box with a large box of freshly ground soy milk and walked upstairs.

When they returned to the ward, Wen Sitian had just woken up. She rubbed her eyes and looked at Xu Jianguo blankly.

Last night's beef noodles were made by Du Yu using space well water, and with Xu Jianguo's foot massage, Wen Sitian looked much better than yesterday, and she looked much more energetic.

"Are you awake? Go wash up quickly. These freshly fried dough sticks smell so good!" Xu Jianguo said.

"Okay!" Wen Sitian gave him a nice smile and spoke.

Xu Jianguo placed the lunch box on the table between the two beds, opened the lid of the lunch box, put the fried dough sticks and eggs in it, then lowered his head to look for tableware in the drawer.

Funiu, who was lying on the bed, wrinkled her nose slightly, and her face was full of unhappiness.

Xu Jianguo found the chopsticks and put them on the lunch box. He turned around and looked at Funiu. Suddenly, he found that the little girl's expression was a little wrong. He hurried over to take a closer look and immediately had some guesses in his mind.

After thinking for a while, Xu Jianguo asked tentatively: "Funiu, can you hear your brother? If you can, roll your eyes."

As soon as Xu Jianguo finished speaking, he saw Funiu's eyes moving left and right under her eyelids. This sudden discovery made him very happy. He continued to ask, "Does the rash on your back hurt? If it hurts, look to the left. If it doesn't hurt, look to the right."

After Xu Jianguo finished speaking, he looked at Funiu with hope, but found that the little girl's eyes were motionless. He was immediately disappointed, smiled self-deprecatingly, and regarded everything that had just happened as a coincidence.

At this time, Wen Sitian walked in from outside and found Xu Jianguo squatting beside the bed looking at Funiu. She thought something had happened to the little girl, so she ran over and asked in a tearful voice, "What happened to Funiu?"

"It's okay, it's okay, don't worry, just now..." Xu Jianguo looked at Wen Sitian who was about to cry, and quickly stood up to comfort her, and then told her what had just happened.

Wen Sitian breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Jianguo, can you let me try?"

"Okay!" Xu Jianguo said, then made way.

Wen Sitian squatted beside the bed, stretched out her hand to smooth the little girl's hair, and said, "Funiu, can you hear what your sister-in-law is saying? If you can, move your eyes."

As soon as the words fell, the two noticed that the little girl's eyes moved rapidly, and an expression of joy immediately appeared on her face.

Wen Sitian's eyes were red, and she smiled and said with a choked voice: "Funiu, don't be afraid, my brother and sister-in-law are here with you. We will definitely find a way to cure you."

The little girl's eyes moved quickly again, and the couple looked at each other and nodded in unison.

Once is a coincidence, twice is an accident, but three times means that Funiu can really hear them talking.

Wen Sitian looked at Xu Jianguo and said, "Jianguo, please repeat the question you asked Funiao just now."

"Ah? Okay!" After Xu Jianguo asked Funniu the same question again, the little girl fell into a state of no response again.

Wen Sitian thought for a moment and then said, "Jianguo, do you think Funiu can tell the difference between left and right?"

"Uh... I really don't know about this!" Xu Jianguo said somewhat embarrassedly.

Wen Sitian rolled her eyes at Xu Jianguo, then turned to Funiu and said, "Funiu, listen to my sister-in-law. I know you still can't tell left from right. Remember, the hand holding the spoon is your right, and the hand holding the bowl is your left. If your back hurts, look towards the hand holding the bowl. If it doesn't hurt, look towards the hand holding the spoon, okay?"

As soon as Wen Sitian finished speaking, she saw Funiu's eyes turn to the right under her eyelids.

"That's great, Funniu, you're awesome!" Wen Sitian yelled, stood up, held the little girl's face and kissed her hard.

Xu Jianguo also breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that as long as it didn't hurt, Funiu would at least suffer less.

Xu Jianguo thought for a moment, took out a piece of fruit candy from his pocket, broke off a small piece, then opened Funiu's mouth and put it under her tongue.

This was done because Xu Jianguo was worried that the little girl was unable to swallow and that the candy was too big and could easily get stuck. Pressing it under the tongue would allow the candy to slowly melt. This was a method he learned in his previous life when the doctor taught him how to take fast-acting heart pills.

After Funiu put the candy into her mouth, although her expression did not change, Xu Jianguo and Wen Sitian could both feel the little girl's happiness. This feeling was hard to explain, but it was magical.

Not long after Xu Jianguo and Wen Sitian finished their breakfast, the door of the ward was pushed open from the outside, and two old men in white coats walked in with a large group of people.

The two of them quickly stood up, and Wen Sitian greeted the two elders, "President Gong, Director Li!"

"Xiao Wen, let's come and see Funiu. How was the little girl last night?" Gong Shoucheng asked.

Wen Sitian was resting last night and didn't know what was happening with Funiu. She turned to look at Xu Jianguo beside her.

"Funiu didn't have a fever last night, and she didn't wake up." Xu Jianguo said.

Wen Sitian was a little surprised after hearing what Xu Jianguo said. She didn't understand why he didn't tell the doctor about what happened just now. But out of trust in her man, she didn't ask. She only knew that he must have his own reasons for doing so.
