Chapter 344 Stepsister Qiu Rong

Jiang Wenhua was stunned. His sister? Which sister? No matter which stepsister, she couldn't be as thin as her.

Thinking back to the Chinese New Year a few months ago, when he went to his ex-stepfather's house to deliver New Year's goods, everyone... was there, and they all looked pretty healthy. How could anyone be so thin? Which liar was pretending to be his sister?

No, no, Jiang Wenhua recalled that day, and it seemed like someone was missing: his youngest stepsister, Qiu Rong, and his husband. What did his stepfather say then? Oh, he said she was pregnant, but the fetus was unstable, so she wouldn't have her baby this year.

Is she his third sister?

Jiang Wenhua squatted down and carefully parted her hair, and then a bruised face appeared in front of him.

"sister?"

When Jiang Wenhua saw her miserable appearance, his heart ached. He then cautiously touched his nose, worried that his sister might have been killed by him because of the action just now.

Chen Xiangbei is such a jerk! Couldn't he have explained the situation first and then thrown the person to him? What if his sister gets hurt because of this fall?

Forget it, it’s good enough that he can get the person out. He definitely can’t think of this with his brain.

"Mom, don't hide anymore, come out quickly, we need to go to the hospital." Jiang Wenhua yelled.

Chen Xiangbei only half believed it at first, and was thinking that if it wasn't him, he would ask Qiao Shan to carry the person to the police and let them find a solution.

But when Jiang Wenhua shouted this, Chen Xiangbei knew that this man was not lying to him.

"Brother Qiao, you can run faster with the tricycle on your back. There is no tricycle nearby, and it is too late to borrow one." Chen Xiangbei said, holding Qiao Shan's hand.

Qiao Shan nodded. Since he was someone he knew, it didn't matter. He squatted down and pushed Jiang Wenhua away, then picked him up and ran out.

When Jiang's mother heard the noise, she also ran out. However, she didn't dare to look at Chen Xiangbei and Qiao Shan. She simply took a small blanket from the house and wrapped Yang Rong up completely, crying, "What the hell is going on? How could my Rongrong become like this?"

Jiang Wenhua didn't have time to ask Chen Xiangbei, so he asked Qiao Shan to send the person away first and he would catch up later. Then he turned around and went into the room to get his money box.

Everyone had left, and Jiang's mother was feeling uneasy in the house. Jiang Wenhua had just told her to stay at home and that he would handle the problem, but she had raised the child for many years and she was a very good child. Now that she was injured like this, Jiang's mother was really restless and couldn't stay at home with peace of mind.

But if she were to go to the hospital alone, she would be terrified at the thought of so many people there. She wasn't even happy to see the people in the compound, let alone those outside. This was like asking her to die.

But Qiu Rong's child... Fang's father kept knocking on the stool where Jiang's mother was sitting. She would stand up, sit down again, walk around, and then lie on the table.

She looked in the mirror. The scar stretched from her forehead to the left side of her face. From childhood to old age, everyone had been afraid of her face. Her parents disliked her, her relatives mocked her, and every word they said was like a needle piercing her body, making her increasingly afraid to face people.

Her first husband treated her well, and her second husband didn't care about her either, which allowed her to stay at home peacefully and relax.

But her marriages to both husbands were arranged by others, and she just had to obey their arrangements. Now, if she went out and asked others, she would be very scared.

After struggling for a while, this worry was still not as great as her worry about Qiu Rong. Jiang's mother took a deep breath and then opened the door of her home.

Old Mrs. Xia had just been woken up by the noise in the courtyard, but since no one called her, she didn't take it seriously. Just as she closed her eyes, she heard a faint sound from her door.

Old Mrs. Xia jumped up and found that something had indeed happened in the middle of the night.

When she opened the door, she saw a woman about her height, wrapped up completely, especially her face, as if she couldn't see anyone. Only her eyes were exposed, and her eyes looked like a frightened deer, revealing panic.

To be honest, if it weren't for Old Lady Xia's strong heart, she would probably have fainted when she saw someone dressed like this in the middle of the night. It was really scary.

“Who…who are you?”

No one in the entire compound had ever seen Jiang's mother. She only lived in Jiang Wenhua's mouth, so it was normal that Old Lady Xia didn't recognize her. When they first moved in, Xia Yu'e had seen her early in the morning, but she had only glanced at her before she frantically ran into the house. She didn't even get a good look and was almost blackmailed by Jiang Wenhua.

"I'm Jiang Wenhua's mother."

Jiang's mother's voice was quieter than the buzzing of a mosquito. If it wasn't so late at night and everyone was asleep, Old Lady Xia might not have been able to hear her at all.

"What? You...you can't come out until midnight?" Old Mrs. Xia didn't dare to speak loudly in front of her, for fear of scaring people away.

Jiang's mother's heart was beating wildly. This was her first time actively talking to someone, and she had almost used up all her courage. "I...I don't come out in the middle of the night, but...I have to come out today. Can you do me a favor?"

On the quiet street, two small figures ran quickly and soon appeared at the hospital entrance.

As soon as Jiang's mother stepped into the hospital, she started picking at her hands awkwardly and remained silent.

Old Mrs. Xia sighed, took people to the nurse's station to ask, and then pulled her into the ward.

In the ward, Jiang Wenhua's eyes were red, and he looked like an irritable bull about to have a seizure. Qiu Rong on the bed was sleeping quietly with her eyes closed.

When Chen Xiangbei saw his mother coming in with a man who looked like a nobody, he stood up and poked Jiang Wenhua, who was clenching his fists next to him.

When Jiang Wenhua looked up, her heart leaped into her throat. Her mother, who was often said by outsiders to be an unseen figure and whose story might have been fabricated, was standing so stiffly outside the ward.

Seeing him looking at me, I didn't say anything, but quickly went into the ward and closed the door.

There was a patient in the next bed who had just broken his leg and was sent here in the middle of the night. He turned around and saw this person and shouted, "What the hell is this?"

Jiang's mother also followed his voice and cried out. Her voice was thin but sharp, and everyone in the ward felt very uncomfortable.

Jiang Wenhua naturally noticed it, "Mom, stop shouting, stop shouting."

Jiang's mother immediately hid behind Jiang Wenhua and said in a muffled voice, "I asked Comrade Xia to send me here. What happened to your sister?"

Speaking of his third-ranked stepsister, Jiang Wenhua felt angry again. "She was almost killed by her beastly in-laws. She miscarried, was nearly beaten to death, and even had her ribs fractured. If she hadn't been lucky enough to be picked up by Comrade Qiao Shan and Comrade Xiang Bei, we wouldn't have seen her alive again."

Jiang's mother's face turned pale, but no one noticed because it was wrapped in cloth.

Old Mrs. Xia was puzzled: "Are you close to your stepsister? Why have I never heard you mention it?"
