Chapter 33 Xu Yao, I Love You

Chapter 33 Xu Yao, I Love You

The third sister was filled with envy and jealousy when she saw the village chief's attitude towards Xu Yao and Xue Han.

She stood under the shade of the tree, like a poisonous snake hiding in the dark, waiting for her chance, thinking about how to destroy the two people's growing relationship.

She cursed in her heart: "Why does Xu Yao get all the good things? I just don't want you to do what you want!"

The jealous third sister came up with a "brilliant" idea.

She twisted her waist, pretended to be very concerned, and found Xu Yao's parents.

Xu's father was in poor health and had been bedridden for years, and Xu's mother was blind. Naturally, they were very worried about their daughter's marriage.

"Oh, uncle, aunt, you have to persuade Yaoyao!"

The third sister pretended to be heartbroken and her tone was full of worry. "This Xue Han looks tall and strong, but he has a bad temper. I saw him arguing with someone a few days ago. He looked so aggressive and scary. Yaoyao is so delicate, what will happen if he bullies her in the future?"

When Mr. and Mrs. Xu heard this, their hearts skipped a beat.

Although they couldn't see Xue Han, they had heard from the villagers that he was a serious person who spoke little on weekdays, and he really gave people the feeling that he was not someone who was easy to mess with.

Their daughter’s happiness is their greatest wish. If she really marries a man with a bad temper, how will she live in the future?

Mother Xu reached out her hand tremblingly, took the hand of the third sister, and asked anxiously: "Really? What should we do? Yaoyao is a child with a hard life, and she can't let her be wronged again."

The third sister was secretly pleased to see her plan succeed, but she still pretended to be worried and said, "That's right, auntie. I told you this for Yaoyao's own good. You should think about it carefully, otherwise it will be too late to regret it later."

After the third sister left, Mr. and Mrs. Xu felt like a huge rock was pressing on their hearts and they couldn't relax at all.

Although they believed in their daughter's judgment, their third sister's words also made them have some concerns.

In the evening, Xu Yao and Xue Han returned home hand in hand, talking and laughing.

As soon as I entered the room, I noticed that something was wrong with the atmosphere in the room.

Father and Mother Xu sat on the kang, their faces solemn, not saying a word.

"Dad, Mom, what's wrong?" Xu Yao noticed something was wrong with her parents and asked with concern.

Mother Xu sighed and repeated what her third sister had said.

After hearing this, Xu Yao understood a little bit.

She knew that her third sister had bad intentions and was deliberately trying to sow discord.

"Dad, Mom, don't listen to her nonsense."

Xu Yao held her parents' hands and comforted them softly, "Xue Han is not that kind of person. He treats me very well."

As she spoke, she looked at Xue Han beside her, her eyes full of trust and determination.

Xue Han also understood the whole story. He walked up to Xu's father and mother and said solemnly, "Uncle, aunt, don't worry, I will take good care of Yaoyao and will never let her suffer any grievances in my life."

Xue Han's tone was sincere and firm, and his eyes were full of love for Xu Yao.

His words were like a warm current, flowing into the hearts of Xu's father and mother, dispelling their doubts and worries.

They looked at the tall and upright man in front of them, felt his sincere emotions, and also felt his cherishment for their daughter.

However, the third sister did not give up.

When her first plan failed, she came up with another one.

She began to spread rumors in the village, saying that Xu Yao had an unclear relationship with Sun Zhiqiang in the past, in order to ruin Xu Yao's reputation.

These rumors spread quickly throughout the village as if they had wings.

After Xue Han heard this, his face turned pale and he was burning with anger.

Without saying a word, he went straight to find the third sister.

"You'd better watch your mouth. If you dare to talk nonsense again, don't blame me for being rude!"

Xue Han's voice was icy cold and his eyes were sharp as a knife. The third sister was so frightened that she trembled all over and couldn't say a word.

"You..." The third sister pointed at Xue Han tremblingly, her face pale.

Xue Han snorted coldly, turned around and left, leaving the third sister shivering alone.

As night falls, the village becomes quiet, with only the occasional barking of dogs breaking the silence.

Xu Yao and Xue Han stood at the entrance of the village, looking at the flashing lights in the distance, with a thousand thoughts in their hearts... "Tomorrow, we..." Xu Yao paused, her eyes determined.

It was getting late and the lights in the village gradually lit up. The dim lights flickered in the night and the occasional barking of dogs echoed in the silent air.

Xu Yao and Xue Han stood at the entrance of the village with mixed feelings.

Xu Yao took a deep breath and looked at Xue Han firmly.

"Tomorrow, we will go to the village together to clarify those rumors and let them see if we really love each other." Xu Yao's voice was soft but full of power.

Xue Han nodded, his brows furrowed, a cold light in his eyes.

"Okay, let's face it together." He held Xu Yao's hand tightly, as if conveying a silent power.

The next morning, Xu Yao and Xue Han walked side by side in the village, and the villagers looked at them with curiosity and doubt.

The two men walked to the threshing ground in the center of the village, where many villagers had gathered and were talking about something.

Xu Yao took a deep breath, stood in the middle of the threshing ground, and said loudly: "Fellow villagers, I am standing here today to clarify a fact."

Xue Han stood beside her with a firm look in his eyes, supporting her silently.

Xu Yao's voice resounded throughout the threshing ground: "The relationship between Xue Han and I is real. The rumors that Third Sister said are all groundless and are meant to ruin our reputation."

She paused, her voice more resolute, "We love each other, we trust each other, there is nothing shameful about it."

The villagers looked at each other, some with puzzled expressions, while others seemed a little shaken.

Suddenly, a middle-aged woman stood up. She was an old lady in the village and was highly respected.

"Yaoyao, we understand what you said, but we want to know, do you have any evidence?" There was a hint of doubt in her words.

Xu Yao looked around carefully, and her eyes finally fell on Xue Han.

She smiled slightly and held Xue Han's hand.

"Xue Han, are you willing to tell me what you said in front of everyone?"

Xue Han nodded with a solemn expression.

He took a deep breath, looked at Xu Yao, and said firmly: "Xu Yao, I love you and am willing to spend my whole life taking care of you. From now on, rain or shine, I will stay by your side, protect you, and love you."

Xu Yao's eyes were slightly red, tears welled up in her eyes but she couldn't let them fall.

She took a deep breath, looked at the villagers around her, and said in a trembling but firm voice: "I love Xue Han too. He is a man of integrity and he will treat me well. Please believe in us and our love."

The villagers were silent for a moment, and then burst into applause. The old lady in the village applauded first, followed by others.

Applause spread among the crowd like waves, and blessings echoed in the air.

Xu Yao and Xue Han smiled at each other, their hearts filled with warmth and emotion.

However, just as everyone was immersed in the happy atmosphere, a cold voice suddenly came from the crowd: "What a man of integrity, what a pure love." The third sister squeezed out of the crowd, her face gloomy, with a strange light flashing in her eyes.

Xu Yao and Xue Han looked at each other and understood in their hearts that the third sister's conspiracy was far from over.

Xu Yao held Xue Han's hand tightly and said firmly: "No matter how much she struggles, we will be together."

Xue Han nodded, his eyes burning with fighting spirit. "We won't let her succeed."

Night fell again and the village returned to peace.

Xu Yao and Xue Han walked hand in hand on the way home, their hearts full of hope for the future.

However, the third sister's eyes were still fixed on them, with a hint of a cruel smile on her lips.

Before she finished her words, the third sister's figure disappeared into the night, leaving only a gust of cold wind blowing gently behind Xu Yao and Xue Han, as if foreshadowing more challenges to come.
