Chapter 7 Reporting Thoughts to the Political Work Department
"Comrade Liang Suya, your ideas are very dangerous!"
It was Lu Liangchen who walked in, staring at Liang Suya with a hint of anger in his deep eyes.
"Go to the Political Work Department this afternoon to report your thoughts!"
Liang Suya was dissatisfied, but she was afraid of the cold Lu Liangchen, so she could only bite her lip and accept it.
Before leaving, she glared at Jiang Haitang fiercely.
"Comrade Jiang Haitang, our factory has not done a good job in managing its employees, and you have been wronged." Lu Liangchen said sincerely.
"Director Lu, you are too polite. The factory is not to blame for the ideological problems of some individual comrades." Jiang Haitang replied neither humbly nor arrogantly.
The leaders of the factory were much better than she had imagined. Li Shengli was a bad boy and Liang Suya bullied others, but she couldn't blame the leaders.
Lu Liangchen looked at her deeply.
This girl has bright eyes, like stars in the night, pure and beautiful.
Lu Liangchen nodded slightly, turned around hurriedly and handed the lunch box in his hand to Zhang Shangwen.
"I will be back a little late in the evening, please help me with the meal."
Zhang Shangwen agreed.
Lu Liangchen turned and left, and no one present dared to speak.
After Lu Liangchen left, Zhao Xiufang came back to life and wanted to say a few words.
As soon as she opened her mouth, she was scolded by Zhang Shangwen.
"Zhao Xiufang, you're so lazy, why are you waiting for me to do all this work?"
Zhao Xiufang went to work mumblingly, and rolled her eyes at Jiang Haitang before leaving.
"You guys too, have nothing to do? Go to work right after dinner, what are you doing gathered in the cafeteria?"
Everyone dispersed, and Zhang Shangwen lowered his voice and said, "My daughter, don't worry about what others say."
The concern from strangers warmed Jiang Haitang's heart.
"Don't worry, Uncle Zhang. If you really take what others say to heart, you won't be able to live like this."
"Li Shengli is a fool, and I don't think Liang Suya is a good person either. But don't worry, there are definitely many good people in our textile factory."
Hearing what Zhang Shangwen said, Jiang Haitang couldn't help laughing.
"I believe the people in the textile factory are as kind-hearted as Uncle Zhang."
Liang Suya ran out crying, but did not go home, but ran to her second uncle Liang Heping's house.
Liang Heping is the chairman of the factory's trade union. He doesn't have much real power, but he is still a member of the leadership.
Second Aunt Li Dani saw Liang Suya rushing in crying, and put down the bowl in her hand with a stern face.
"Why are you here?"
This niece seemed nice before, smart and sweet-spoken, she liked her very much, but what has she done recently?
Find a man who is married.
You don't need to listen to know that people must be saying that the Liang family's daughter has become a concubine and she is too embarrassed to see anyone.
Liang Suya was so sad that she ignored the disgust in Li Dani's eyes.
"Second Aunt, Second Uncle, you have to help me, help me drive Jiang Haitang back to the countryside. I don't want to see her again."
Liang Heping felt distressed when he saw Liang Suya crying. He stood up and patted Liang Suya's shoulder to comfort her.
"Don't cry, let me think about this."
Li Dani was unhappy that her husband treated her niece like this.
"Isn't it because you don't know people well? Because of you, I am too embarrassed to go out."
"Second Aunt, Shengli said that Jiang Haitang was a bought servant, and when he comes back, he will let Jiang Haitang go back to the countryside to take care of the family."
"Liang Suya, did you get kicked in the head by a donkey? What era is this? How dare you say that Jiang Haitang is a servant?"
Liang Heping was frightened by these words. A strand of his long hair that supported the Central Committee fell off in fear, revealing the bald spot on his head.
"I……"
Liang Suya panicked and didn't dare to tell Lu Liangchen that she had been asked by him to go to the Political Work Department to report her thoughts.
"Uncle, I was wrong. I won't do it again!"
"Did you know that Li Shengli had a wife in the countryside before you got married?" Liang Heping asked suspiciously.
Liang Suya hurriedly shook her head: "Second Uncle, I really don't know."
"Go home first, keep a low profile these days, and don't cause any trouble."
After seeing Liang Suya off, Li Dani spat at her back in disgust.
"His father, Liang Suya's reputation can be ruined, but Ruya must not be implicated."
"It would be fine if this matter was brought to the attention of Director Hu, but now that evil star Lu Liangchen has also set his sights on us, it's going to be difficult to deal with."
"Li Shengli, this bastard, looked honest before, but who knew he was so evil." Li Dani cursed angrily.
If Ru Ya's reputation is affected, she will tear his skin apart.
Liu Hongmei went out today. When she came back in the evening, she heard that Liang Suya had made a fuss in the cafeteria, so she hurried over.
When she arrived at the cafeteria, Zhang Shangwen was sitting on a chair with his eyes half closed, shaking his head and humming some unknown song, looking extremely comfortable.
"Oh, you're so comfortable, old man." Liu Hongmei joked, "Aren't you going to steam buns tomorrow?"
Zhang Shangwen looks easy-going, but he has some weird personalities.
He always complained that the people in the kitchen did not knead the dough well, which delayed the steaming of steamed buns the next day. He kneaded the dough himself every night without asking anyone else to do it.
"Leave it to Haitang." Zhang Shangwen smiled.
Liu Hongmei was surprised. Does this old man Zhang Shangwen trust Jiang Haitang so much?
"Can you rest assured?"
"This girl is very talented and skilled. What do you think? Can we keep her in the cafeteria?"
"This matter has to be decided by the leaders." Liu Hongmei pointed upwards.
Zhang Shangwen nodded to show that he understood.
"That wicked Li Shengli wants Haitang to go to the countryside and continue to serve the whole family."
"If he bullies people openly, I, Old Zhang, will still respect him. But if he tries to cheat people and pretends to be a good person, isn't that like being a whore and trying to be a virtuous woman? What do you mean he came from the military? It's really an insult to the word!"
Zhang Shangwen's words deeply touched Liu Hongmei's heart.
"Uncle, what does Haitang mean?" Liu Hongmei was worried that Jiang Haitang would do something stupid.
"I definitely don't agree. Am I so lowly as to continue being a servant? Our ancestors shed blood and sacrificed their lives for us to stand. I can't be so lowly as to kneel down."
Jiang Haitang just came out from behind and replied firmly.
Liu Hongmei was relieved, he was not a fool.
"Sister, well said. What are your plans after leaving the Li family?"
"What are your plans?"
Jiang Haitang was silent.
It's only 1974 now, unlike the 1980s when you could do some small business to support yourself.
She still needs to think about it carefully.
Liu Hongmei and the master chef both saw Jiang Haitang's dilemma and looked at each other.
"Haitang, just focus on your job in the cafeteria first. Things will work out in time. There's no Fire Mountain that you can't cross," Zhang Shangwen advised.
"Uncle Zhang, thank you." Jiang Haitang replied with a forced smile.
Zhang Shangwen said a few words of comfort and found an excuse to go to the kitchen.
"Sister, if you get divorced, do you have any requests?" Liu Hongmei asked.
"In the past few years, Li Shengli hasn't given a penny to our family. The whole family depends on me for support. I can't give it in vain. He has to make up for the money I spent."
Liu Hongmei nodded, and she was indeed a clear-headed person.
Jiang Haitang returned to the guesthouse and lay on the bed, her mind in a turmoil, as if a carriage was running.
What should I do next?
She has no family background and cannot stay in the Li family.
Even if the brigade allowed her to live independently, life would be difficult for a woman like her.
After thinking it over and over again, Jiang Haitang became more and more clear-headed.
Unexpectedly, even after being reborn, her life was still full of suffering.
Since she couldn't sleep, she got up and went to the front desk of the guesthouse to borrow a book or newspaper to read.
When I opened the door, I was startled by two people standing at the door and about to knock.
