Chapter 332 Complaining to Parents

"oh."

An'an and Chu Xi had no choice but to come out and stand there.

Only then did An'an tell him what her homeroom teacher had said to her. Chu Xi scratched his head, looking puzzled.

“I didn’t feel like you were bullying me. Teacher Sun, aren’t you overthinking it?”

"yes."

An'an has always been one of the teachers' favorite kids since she was little. She is well-behaved, smart, and has good grades. However, this homeroom teacher is newly transferred and doesn't get along with her.

"If Teacher Sun complains to your family, remember to put in a good word for her."

"No problem, but even if she tells my parents, it won't do any good. They're not coming back anyway."

Chu Xi shrugged, no longer feeling so sad. The two of them could chat for an entire class while being punished by standing. Luckily, they were standing outside, and the teacher was inside and didn't notice them; they could go home after class.

However, An An's worries were actually justified.

Teacher Sun did indeed call Chu Xi's parents. The student's enrollment information included the parents' phone number and home address, and coincidentally, Chu Xi's parents had cell phones.

After Teacher Sun explained the situation to Chu Xi's parents, they immediately said they would pay more attention to their child and would go back in the next couple of days.

Chu Xi is unaware of this yet.

And that wasn't all. Teacher Sun also went to Yu Jiu and Xu Zijiang and told them about An'an's situation. Yu Jiu and Xu Zijiang were so worried they could have killed several flies with their brows furrowed.

"Ms. Sun, is this considered bullying? Isn't this just playful banter between classmates? Shouldn't we be taking it less seriously?"

Yu Jiu couldn't help but ask.

"Who told you it was a joke? This matter is very serious and must be taken seriously. It's because of parents like you who spoil their children too much that they've spoiled them."

An'an's grades are good, but students should learn to be good people before they learn knowledge. When Chu Xi's parents come back, you can talk to them. Chu Xi's parents are very busy and spend very little time with him at home. Chu Xi is prone to overthinking. An'an said these things to Chu Xi and made this bet, which has caused great emotional harm to Chu Xi. If this is not bullying, then what is?

It's not just physical contact and abuse that count!

Teacher Sun was very excited, and Yu Jiu and Xu Zijiang had no choice but to nod and reassure her.

"Okay, okay, I understand. I'll talk to An'an about it when I get home. Don't worry, Teacher Sun, if the child has really been hurt emotionally, we'll visit him and make it up to him."

Yu Jiu and Xu Zi said goodbye to the excited Teacher Sun and left. Once home, Yu Jiu carefully questioned An An about what had happened that day. It turned out the child had made a bet; no wonder she had been so concerned about their whereabouts those past few days. She had thought An An was becoming increasingly clingy, but it turned out the bet was the culprit.

"An'an, tell Mommy about what happened that day in detail. Don't worry, Mommy isn't blaming you. Mommy is definitely on your side!"

"Actually, there's not much to say. It's just that the day you came back, you asked me to take the afternoon off, and you asked me to take the morning off too, so you could take my brother and me out to play."

At first, my classmates thought I was sick and even wanted to come to our house to see me. Then, when I went to school in the afternoon, they asked me what happened. I told them that they were back and that they took me out to play yesterday afternoon, but I was too sleepy to get up this morning, so they simply asked for leave for us and didn't come.

Then Chu Xi got a little resentful. He felt that his parents were busy with work and were only leaving after a few days to make up for it. But they said they wouldn't be so busy anymore and would stay home with them, so he wasn't convinced either. So the two of them made a bet, it was that simple.

“He accepted his loss and didn’t feel like I was bullying him.”

An'an quickly explained, and Yu Jiu seemed thoughtful after listening. Xu Zijiang asked.

"Who proposed the bet first?"

"It seems he was the one who proposed the bet first, and then he said the loser would get 1,000 yuan. But I suggested changing the bet. I didn't want the money; I wanted him to admit his mistake. That's how it went."

"Okay, Mom and Dad know. Go play, it's nothing serious."

Yu Jiu touched An'an's little face, indicating that she was alright. Anyway, Yu Jiu hadn't heard anything wrong with her daughter's expression from beginning to end. The male classmate didn't believe her, so the two made a bet. What's wrong with that?

If this counts as bullying, then almost no student in the school can escape this heinous crime.

Teacher Sun didn't ask about it again, and Yu Jiu and Xu Zijiang treated it as a thing of the past. However, a week later, Chu Xi's parents returned and found Yu Jiu and Xu Zijiang, saying they wanted to talk.

"Don't misunderstand, the two children were just playing around, it's nothing serious, we didn't take it to heart, and you shouldn't either. It's Teacher Sun who's making a fuss. He accepted my gift, so he's been extra nice to my son."

Upon meeting, Chu Xi's mother went straight to the point, explaining to Yu Jiu and Xu Zijiang that the two of them suddenly understood. It turned out that she had accepted a gift, which explained why they were so fixated on such a small matter.

Speaking of giving gifts directly, Xu Zijiang and Yu Jiu had never done so before. However, they would do their teachers a favor by giving them a discount or rounding down the price if they bought something from their store, which was considered a way to build good relationships. They never expected that Chu Xi's parents would be so direct and give gifts to their teacher directly.

Teacher Sun is really daring to accept this; she's not afraid of being discovered by the school. If that happens, she might lose her title as a teacher.

“You all think it’s just kids playing around and that’s fine. After Teacher Sun said that, An’an felt very guilty, and so did we. We’ve already had An’an apologize to Chu Xi and even brought him food for several days as an apology. Chu Xi said he liked it very much, and the two children have made up. It was us adults who were worrying for nothing.”

Yu Jiu said with a smile that the parents of both sides sat together and chatted. Since they were both in business, they naturally had a lot in common. Chu Xi's mother sighed.

“We don’t care about our children as much as you do. When we’re busy, we don’t care about anything else. We can’t even answer our child’s calls, let alone come back to see him every few days. This time, we didn’t come back specifically to see him. We just came back because we had a new business deal here.”

It's no wonder the child resents us; he's just too envious of An'an, which is why he deliberately picked a fight. Knowing that Teacher Sun complained to his parents, he felt guilty and specifically asked us to come to you to explain that it was a misunderstanding; otherwise, he wouldn't feel at ease.

"I'm too busy with work to come back, and when it comes to doing business, you have to take advantage of the good situation and make as much money as possible. Who knows what will happen in the future? But if I don't spend time with my children, they will grow up. Look, An'an and Chu Xi are already in fifth grade, and they will be in junior high school next year."

Once they enter junior high school, they'll be big kids. Even if we have time to spend with them, they might not want us to. So I think you two could discuss a schedule where one of you comes back for a while, taking turns. This way, you can spend more time with your child.

With her parents by her side, Chu Xi wouldn't be too sad. She could at least get through the year before worrying about anything else, so it wouldn't affect her studies.

Yu Jiu, having been through similar experiences, shared her advice, but it was merely a suggestion. She didn't know the other person's situation, so whether she listened or not was irrelevant. She immediately changed the subject after speaking, but the group seemed to get along quite well and agreed to have lunch together.

"After the two kids get out of school, let's go to a restaurant for dinner together. It's on me, so don't be shy."

"Okay, no problem. If we ever have the chance to work together in the future, you'll have to think of us."
