If vegetables grow so fast in this space, then medicinal herbs must grow very fast too. Wouldn't that be a great opportunity to make a fortune?
Lin Jin packed up and prepared to go deep into the mountains today to see if there were any precious medicinal herbs. Lin Jin prepared some dry food and put it in his space, which didn't take up much space. Since being attacked by the black bear last time, Lin Jin had prepared a lot of rare medicines in his space.
It was only a little past dawn. Lin Jin followed the path deeper into the mountain, walking for about an hour, when he heard the sound of flowing water. A thought struck him; precious medicinal herbs were often found near water sources. Following the sound, he found a clear stream, and sure enough, several strangely shaped plants grew along its banks. Upon closer inspection, Lin Jin was delighted to discover a century-old ginseng among them. He carefully dug it up and transplanted it into his spatial storage.
Continuing deeper into the mountains, Lin Jin encountered a place shrouded in mist. Based on his experience, he knew that this special environment was likely to harbor rare and exotic plants. Suddenly, Lin Jin heard gunshots. Startled, before he could even react, he heard several shots, not very far away. He quickly hid and waited for a while. When he heard no further movement, he dared not venture out. He dared not go any further. How could there be gunshots in this deep forest? If it were a hunter, there wouldn't be so many different kinds of gunshots.
Forget it, let's go back. We're lucky we got one ginseng root; we've gathered quite a few other herbs too.
Just as Lin Jin turned to walk back, she heard a faint groan. Lin Jin quietly took a few steps forward, parted the grass, and saw a man covered in blood. She couldn't make out his face, but she saw the man enduring the pain as he tore off his clothes to bandage his wounds. Suddenly, he looked up and his sharp eyes stared straight at Lin Jin. Lin Jin instinctively wanted to turn and run, but the man was faster. Something pressed against her waist, and the man's cold voice came: "Don't move, don't scream, and don't even think about running away."
There's a group of bandits around here. If you call them, they'll all come. Then you won't be able to escape. And if you try to leave now, you definitely won't be able to get away; the road down the mountain will be blocked by them."
Lin Jin wasn't afraid. Even with a gun pointed at her, she wasn't scared. She could kill him at any time. But she needed to figure out what he was doing here, whether he was a good person or a bad person.
Lin Jin feigned fear and asked, "Who are you? What are you doing here?" The man didn't answer her questions, only saying, "My name is Gong Moze. I'm not a bad person, and I won't hurt you." Lin Jin turned to look at the man, a flicker of pain in her eyes. She thought to herself that this man didn't seem to be lying. "So what do you plan to do?" Lin Jin asked tentatively. The man slowly lowered his gun. "Originally, I wanted to hide here for a while, until they left before going down the mountain, but now that you're involved, I have no choice but to take you with me." Lin Jin's heart stirred, and she said thoughtfully, "Perhaps we don't need to hide." Gong Moze looked at her with a puzzled expression. Lin Jin took out some herbs from her spatial storage, chewed them, and applied them to the man's wound. Miraculously, the bleeding stopped instantly. The man's eyes widened in shock. Lin Jin said softly, "I'm a village doctor, and I carry a lot of sleeping pills with me, but are they really bandits?" Lin Jin looked at Gong Moze with a half-smile and asked, "Gong Moze lowered his head, his expression unreadable, and said, "They can only be bandits." "And what about you? Do you want to come down the mountain with me?" Lin Jin knew what he did; she knew from the moment he turned around and saw her.
Lin Jin wanted to take him down the mountain with her. It would be dangerous for the two of them to spend the night on the mountain, especially since he was so badly injured and needed surgery as soon as possible, otherwise he would be in great danger. As a doctor, Lin Jin would certainly not stand by and watch him die, but if the other party did not trust her, she couldn't do anything about it!
