Chapter 135 It Was Her (2/2)

"Godfather, actually, the woman who always comes to your workplace is called Lin Wan. She was my older sister before, but for some reason she came to Beijing and changed her name to Lin Nana..." Li Jin told Qin Guodong everything she knew!

Qin Guodong's expression was somewhat serious, but he still said to Li Jin, "Xiao Jin, don't worry about these things. They'll soon reap what they sow. Also, don't tell your godmother, so she won't worry! Don't worry, this is Beijing, they won't dare to make too much of a fuss."

Looking into his godfather's determined eyes, Li Jin knew his godfather was right; this was Beijing, after all. His godfather should be safe!

Shortly after Li Jin left Qin Guodong's workplace, there was a knock on Qin Guodong's office door. Wan You entered, looking hurried, holding a document in his hand. He said, "Old Qin, there's new information. I just discovered that Director Wu seems to be conspiring with Jingu Company to try and secure the supply rights for the next batch of important materials through improper means, and they seem to have already won over some insiders."

Qin Guodong frowned, took the document and examined it carefully, his face growing increasingly grim. "It seems their actions are becoming more and more aggressive. We must act quickly and not let them succeed."

Meanwhile, Lin Nana seemed to sense something amiss as well. She noticed several unfamiliar faces hovering around her lately, and a sense of unease crept into her heart. She shared her concerns with Boss Liu. Boss Liu, however, chuckled dismissively, "Nana, don't scare yourself. What could possibly happen? As long as we're careful, those people can't cause any trouble."

But Lin Nana's unease grew stronger. She decided to take the initiative, strike first, and disrupt the other party's plans...

An invisible war is quietly escalating... As the Lunar New Year approaches, the family is getting busier. Li Jin and Ou Yaya are busy buying New Year's goods, while Chief Fu and Grandpa Yu help out by offering advice and occasionally writing a few Spring Festival couplets themselves. Their beautiful calligraphy skills make Gong Moze secretly admire them.

On New Year's Eve, the kitchen was bustling with activity. Li Jin, Ou Yaya, and Tian Xiaobei were all in the kitchen, meticulously preparing the New Year's Eve dinner. Tian Xiaobei was Yu Qi's wife; she was a primary school teacher!

Chief Fu and Grandpa Yu sat in the living room watching the Spring Festival Gala on TV, occasionally calling out to remind them of the time. The Yu brothers, Qi and Liang, were helping prepare vegetables in the kitchen. Yu Liang and Changnian were playing chess in the living room; Yu Zhenzhen was too busy this year for even the New Year's Eve dinner to wait for her!

As night fell and the city lights came on, a sumptuous New Year's Eve dinner was laid out on the table. Yu Zhenzhen had just rushed home! As soon as she sat down, she began apologizing, "I'm so sorry everyone, something came up at work and I was delayed." Everyone expressed their understanding and urged her to eat quickly.
