Chapter 77 A Letter from Gong Moze (2/2)

I craned my neck to try and see, but everyone blocked my way!

The school was abuzz with discussion about Lin Jin treating the archaeology professor. Everyone was whispering amongst themselves. Some said Lin Jin was incredibly arrogant, daring to challenge such a prestigious professor; it was utterly presumptuous. Others said Lin Jin was definitely after someone powerful and would do anything to climb the social ladder.

Su Yue took the opportunity to belittle Lin Jin, sneering, "Lin Jin is just a pretentious show-off who only knows how to flaunt her knowledge. She's the best at seducing men." These words spread like wildfire throughout the school.

However, Jin Yuanyuan overheard these words. Knowing that she and Lin Jin didn't get along, Jin Yuanyuan was furious when she heard Su Yue speak of Lin Jin like that. Jin Yuanyuan immediately started arguing with Su Yue, and the argument escalated until they finally came to blows.

The argument was quickly discovered by the school teachers, who immediately intervened and severely criticized Jin Yuanyuan and Su Yue. Because both of their actions violated school rules and regulations, the school decided to impose appropriate disciplinary action on them. Su Yue received a special warning! She had already received two demerits!

The next day, Lin Jin learned about the incident. When she saw the injuries on Jin Yuanyuan's face, she was heartbroken and hurriedly asked what had happened. At first, Jin Yuanyuan refused to say, but after Lin Jin asked her several times, she finally told Lin Jin the whole story.

Lin Jin was both touched and angry after hearing this. She took out some ointment from her bag and gently applied it to Jin Yuanyuan's wound, saying softly, "Don't fight with her directly anymore. It's not worth hurting yourself and getting punished."

Jin Yuanyuan's face was full of anger, and she was trembling with rage. Her eyes widened as she shouted indignantly, "Her words are so awful! I can't stand it anymore! How could she attack you with such vicious words!"

However, in stark contrast to Jin Yuanyuan's anger, Lin Jin appeared unusually calm and composed. A faint smile played on his lips as he softly said, "Yuanyuan, don't get agitated. Remember, not everything can be resolved face-to-face. Sometimes, impulsiveness only makes things worse."

Lin Jin's tone was gentle, yet it carried an undeniable authority. He continued, "Next time you hear any of them talking about me, don't take action. Violence is never a good way to solve problems. Just tell me, and I'll find a way to make them understand that they must pay the price for any wrongdoing."

Two short days passed in the blink of an eye, and in those two days, an exciting piece of news spread like wildfire—the professor's eyesight had improved significantly! This news was like a spring breeze, bringing vitality to the entire campus.

The school leaders attached great importance to this good news. They specially drafted a notice detailing the professor's condition and how Lin Jin's medical skills had miraculously restored the professor's eyesight. This notice was undoubtedly the best proof of Lin Jin's medical skills and made everyone look at his abilities with new respect.

However, for Lin Jin, all of this was far from enough. The anger in his heart did not subside with the school's approval, because he would never easily let go of Su Yue, who had caused him so much trouble.

On a sunny midday, the cafeteria was packed with people, every seat filled. Students chatted and laughed or ate their meals, enjoying their moment of leisure.

Just then, something unexpected happened. Su Yue suddenly went berserk, violently slamming the lunchbox she was holding down on the head of the girl next to her. Food splattered everywhere, and everyone around was stunned by this sudden outburst.

Immediately afterwards, Su Yue stepped onto the dining table without any restraint, stood on the high place, and shouted loudly at everyone: "I, Su Yue, just like to gossip about others, I'm just a jerk..." While cursing herself, she kept repeating those disgusting words, as if she wanted to expose all her shameful aspects to everyone.

Zhou Sheng, standing to the side, witnessed everything. His head was lowered, his hands clenched into fists, his nails digging deep into his palms. His eyes were fixed on Su Yue, his anger almost bursting forth, as if he could burn Su Yue to ashes.

Meanwhile, everyone else in the cafeteria was stunned by the scene. Their discussions rose and fell, surging towards Zhou Sheng like a tide, seemingly about to completely overwhelm him.
