Chapter 87 As Expected (1/2)

Seeing her daughter Gong Moting run away covering her face, Zhu Susu felt extremely distressed. She immediately disregarded the proper etiquette between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law and glared angrily at Old Madam Gong, shouting, "Mother, what you're saying is too much! Moting only spoke a few truths, how is that considered ill-mannered? You're protecting this outsider like this, what about your own granddaughter?"

Grandma Gong was trembling with anger. She pointed at Zhu Susu, her voice shaking, "How dare you say that! Look at the good daughter you raised, she speaks rudely to the guests as soon as she arrives. Is this the kind of upbringing you have?"

Zhu Susu stood her ground, hands on her hips, and retorted at the top of her lungs, "What kind of guest is she? She hasn't even entered the Gong family yet, and she dares to bully Mo Ting like this. What will happen if she really becomes a daughter-in-law of the Gong family!"

The two argued back and forth, their words swirling in a heated debate. Gong Jun, watching the chaotic scene, was filled with helplessness and embarrassment, wanting to intervene but unsure how. Zhu Susu, catching a glimpse of her husband's pathetic state, became even more furious. She turned and launched into a tirade against Gong Jun: "Look at you! Your daughter's been bullied like this, and all you do is stand there! Are you even a father?"

Gong Jun's face flushed red and then turned pale after being scolded by his wife. He stammered, "I... what could I do? The old lady was here..."

"Hmph, I knew you couldn't be trusted!" Zhu Susu snorted coldly, flicked her sleeves, and strode aggressively toward the living room, heading straight for Old Master Gong. "Father, you have to stand up for Mo Ting! The old lady and that Lin Jin are ganging up on Mo Ting. If you don't do something about it, who knows what will become of the Gong family in the future!"

Old Master Gong was already annoyed by Gong Moting's crying and complaining. Now that Zhu Susu was adding to the trouble, his face darkened and he said sternly, "Enough! You haven't even raised your daughter properly, yet you have the nerve to complain? Moting is so rude, it's only right that the old lady teaches her a lesson! All of you, shut up!"

After being scolded by Old Master Gong, Zhu Susu deflated like a punctured balloon, her face turning pale and then red, but she dared not say anything more.

After this incident, Gong Jun looked at Lin Jin with disgust. In his mind, Lin Jin was the fuse that ignited this family conflict. If it weren't for her, the family wouldn't have been in such chaos. He felt more and more that Lin Jin was not good enough for his son and made up his mind to find a way to separate the two of them in the future.

When Gong Jun saw that his wife and daughter had been driven to tears by Lin Jin, his expression turned grim, and his brows furrowed tightly. He glared at Lin Jin, his eyes revealing clear displeasure and disgust!

Lin Jin, seeing this family's farce, lost interest in staying any longer and said to Grandma Gong, "Grandma, I've been here for a while now, and I still have some things to take care of at home, so I'd like to go back first."

Hearing Lin Jin's words, Grandma Gong was somewhat reluctant to let him go, but she didn't want to force him to stay, so she nodded and said, "Alright, since you have things to do, then go back first. Remember to come and visit Grandma often when you have time."

Lin Jin smiled and agreed to Grandma Gong's request, then turned and went inside to say goodbye to Grandpa Gong. Grandpa Gong was quite kind to Lin Jin, telling her to be careful on the road and to come visit again when she had time.

After thanking Old Master Gong, Lin Jin left the Gong family without looking back. As for the eldest son of the Gong family, she didn't even bother to glance at them, completely ignoring them.

As she left the compound, Yu Zhenzhen's car happened to pass by. She quickly stepped on the brakes, and the car came to a stop after a screeching sound.

Yu Zhenzhen hurriedly opened the car door, walked quickly to Lin Jin, and called out anxiously, "Dr. Lin, may I talk to you again?"

Looking at the middle-aged woman before her, Lin Jin felt a surge of complex emotions. She knew this woman was the original owner's biological mother. What happened back then could also be blamed on her!
