The principal led the way, and the group walked towards the office. On the way, Li Yanmei was still muttering complaints about the school. Once inside the office, the principal asked them to sit down and said sternly, "Su Yue, sleeping in class is a serious disciplinary violation. I hope you can correct your attitude towards learning." Su Yue lowered her head, not daring to speak. Li Yanmei was about to retort.
The principal continued sternly, "Professor Li is your teacher. Even if you can't respect her like you would your parents, you absolutely shouldn't have insulted her! And when a classmate tried to stop you, you even insulted the classmate too! With behavior like this, which teacher would dare to teach you in the future?"
Upon hearing the principal's words, Li Yanmei was stunned. She couldn't believe her daughter would do such a thing. However, despite her doubts, she still asked hesitantly, "Principal, how could my daughter possibly insult a professor? Could there be some misunderstanding?" After speaking, she turned to look at Su Yue beside her, only to see Su Yue with her head down, seemingly deep in thought, showing no intention of explaining.
Seeing her daughter's silent demeanor, Li Yanmei felt increasingly uneasy. She couldn't help but nudge Su Yue, wanting her to look up and explain what had happened.
However, to Li Yanmei's utter surprise, Su Yue suddenly raised her head and shouted at her, "What are you doing! Can't you see I'm sleeping?" This sudden shout startled Li Yanmei. She stared at her daughter in disbelief! The principal, seeing such a student, turned pale with anger. He angrily said to Li Yanmei and her daughter, "Go back first! Come back to school to deal with the matter of insulting Professor Li when you've had enough sleep!" After saying that, he turned and left the office, leaving Li Yanmei and her daughter looking at each other in bewilderment.
After leaving the principal's office, Su Yue followed behind Li Yanmei silently, head down, her steps heavy, like a child who had made a mistake.
Li Yanmei walked briskly the whole way, her face ashen, without uttering a word, as if venting her anger through her hurried steps. Su Yue followed cautiously behind her, her heart pounding with anxiety, wondering how her mother would punish her.
Finally home, Li Yanmei slammed the door shut, the sudden sound making Su Yue's heart skip a beat. She looked up and saw her mother glaring at her, the stern look sending a chill down Su Yue's spine.
"What exactly happened to you?" Li Yanmei's voice was icy, filled with obvious anger. "Sleeping in class is one thing, but to actually insult the professor! Do you know how serious this is?"
Su Yue's eyes instantly reddened; she felt so wronged, tears welling up in her eyes. She sobbed, "Mom, I really don't know what's wrong with me today. I just wanted to sleep and couldn't control myself. As for insulting the professor, I really didn't mean to, and I didn't want to, but I just couldn't control my mouth..."
How could Li Yanmei possibly believe it? She said even more angrily, "You're still lying! Tell me the truth, what were you doing last night instead of sleeping!" Su Yue burst into tears after being yelled at by her mother, and cried out loudly, "Mom, I really didn't lie, I went to bed very early last night."
"You went to bed very early! You're going to sleep in class today!" Li Yanmei's voice cracked with anger!
Seeing that her mother didn't trust her, Su Yue's tears of grievance fell in large drops! Then she said, "Believe it or not, it's up to you," and ran back to her room!
Back in her room, she felt increasingly aggrieved. She smashed everything in the room, still not satisfied, and then took all the clothes out of the closet and threw them on the floor! Then she stared blankly at the mess in the room!
