Lu Jinyuan immediately stood up and saw that An'an was covered in sweat: "Then let's go home."
"Mmm." An'an was also exhausted and reached out her little hands for a hug.
Lu Jinyuan picked up An'an and said to everyone, "We're going back."
Let's go together.
Everyone picked up their own children and chatted and laughed all the way back to the family compound.
Ran Jinnian was writing an article. Although she had been officially employed in the publicity department for the past two years, she had not received any actual salary.
She also wrote several articles for the publicity department, but the income was not high.
So when Ran Jinnian has free time, she still writes articles and submits them to Red Star Magazine.
Every article she submitted in the past two years was accepted, and the total royalties amounted to five or six hundred yuan.
"Mother."
An'an called for her mother as soon as she got home.
Ran Jinnian put down her pen and came out to find the father and son covered in sweat. She quickly fetched a basin of water and gave them handkerchiefs to wash their faces.
"Why are you so tired from playing?" Ran Jinnian saw that the little guy sat on the chair without moving after washing his face.
Lu Jinyuan took a sip of water: "An'an has been playing football the whole time."
"Why did you let him kick for so long? He couldn't take it." Ran Jinnian didn't blame Lu Jinyuan. The child was too young, and his bones hadn't fully developed yet.
Lu Jinyuan also felt a little regretful: "It was because I wasn't paying attention for a moment."
"Mom, I'm hungry."
The little guy said lazily.
"Mom will cook you noodles, okay?"
"good."
An An nodded.
Ran Jinnian cooked a bowl of egg noodles for An'an, and Lu Jinyuan brought it over, blowing on it as he fed the little guy.
After eating the noodles and resting for a while, An'an was soon full of energy again.
He saw Ran Jinnian feeding the chickens and ducks: "Mom, let me do it."
Ran Jinnian let him grab a handful of grains, and the little guy ran to the chickens and ducks and stretched out his hand. A group of chickens and ducks immediately surrounded him.
Some of these chickens and ducks are quite old and have stopped laying eggs.
Ran Jinnian planned to kill the chickens and ducks that weren't laying eggs when Lu's mother came to visit.
An'an loved feeding the chickens and ducks, so she grabbed another handful and continued feeding them.
"An'an, be careful, don't get caught by the chickens or ducks," Ran Jinnian reminded An'an.
Seeing that both mother and son had something to do, and noticing that there was little water in the house, Lu Jinyuan picked up two large buckets and went to the well to fetch water.
"Ran Jinnian, Ran Jinnian."
A sound came from outside.
Ran Jinnian looked up, immediately dropped what she was doing, and picked up An'an: "Xiao Li, who called me?"
The visitor was Li Shengli, a telephone operator from the military region.
Li Shengli is in his thirties and has a rather rugged appearance, but he is actually very gentle.
“The other person’s name is Lu Lanlan,” Li Shengli replied.
Sister-in-law!
Why would she suddenly call?
Ran Jinnian called out to the neighboring yard, "Da Ya, Da Ya."
"Auntie, what's wrong?"
Daya is already ten years old. Zhou Hongying took Sandan back to her hometown. Her husband went out to do a mission, leaving Daya and Erya at home.
Ran Jinnian invited Daya and Erya to her house for dinner after school, but the two sisters refused, as they were already able to cook for themselves.
Ran Jinnian didn't force her, but she would go over to check on things every day.
"I'm going to take this call. Tell your uncle when he gets back."
"Yay!"
Ran Jinnian picked up An'an and quickened her pace.
She arrived and waited a while. Lu Lanlan said she would call, and she was afraid that if she called back, she would miss the call time.
