"Okay." Ran Jinnian picked up An'an and returned to the soft sleeper.
When Lu Jinyuan saw that the mother and son had returned so quickly, he knew that it was impossible to move around normally outside because of the crowd.
"Let's continue the story from last time."
Ran Jinnian spoke.
The mother and son leaned against each other, and Ran Jin read a story to An An.
Lu Jinyuan sat in another soft sleeper, listening to his wife's voice, and unconsciously became sleepy.
After Ran Jin finished telling An An a story, she played rock-paper-scissors with An An for a while. Whoever lost had to give the other a back massage.
The mother and son were having a great time.
After An'an got tired of playing, she lay in Ran Jinnian's arms and asked, "Mommy, when are we going to Auntie's?"
"There are still several days left."
"Does that mean we'll be taking the train all the time?" The little guy was really excited about it.
"We'll have to change vehicles later, and we might have to take an oxcart again."
Ran Jin thought that the place where Lu Lanlan did scientific research should be relatively remote.
"Really? We have to take an oxcart?"
The little guy got excited again.
"uncertain."
“Xiao Niu said he’s ridden in an oxcart, but none of us have.” An An’s words were a little unclear, and Ran Jinnian had to listen twice to understand them.
Xiao Niu is An An's friend, and he's over five years old. His father took him back to his hometown several times, and they rode in an oxcart together.
Little Niu always says that riding in the oxcart is so much fun, and his friends are all very envious. An An is also very envious of being able to ride on the ox.
Actually, what he really wanted was to sit on a tiger's back; that would be so majestic!
"An'an".
"Mmm." The little guy tilted his head back, his big eyes filled with Ran Jinnian.
"How about we go to Auntie's place this time and bring Auntie's child home?" Ran Jinnian patted his head.
She had mentioned this to An'an several times, suggesting that she bring a baby home so that An'an wouldn't feel uncomfortable.
Is it your younger sister?
An An's eyes lit up.
Ran Jinnian was both amused and exasperated. These past two days, whenever this topic was mentioned, the little guy would say the same thing.
"Mom doesn't know yet."
The little guy looked puzzled.
"Aunt hasn't given birth yet, so we don't know if it's a boy or a girl." Although Ran Jinnian takes care of the child herself, she has always been very patient and never complains about An'an asking questions: "Does An'an like a little sister?"
An'an said in her childish voice, "Tiger Head has a younger sister."
Ran Jin smiled after reading it aloud.
It turns out that An'an wanted a younger sister because her friend had one.
"Whether it's a younger brother or a younger sister, An'an will like them, right?"
An'an thought for a moment and said, "It would be best if it were a younger sister."
Ran Jinnian was both amused and exasperated.
at last.
Ran Jinnian half-held An'an, gently patting his chubby bottom. The little guy drifted off to sleep to his mother's singing and the rumble of the train.
Ran Jinnian wasn't sleepy, so she took out the unfinished manuscript and sat by the window to continue writing.
She was very inspired at that moment and wrote with great enthusiasm. It took her about an hour to finish the manuscript.
Ran Jinnian carefully revised it again, and after confirming that there were no problems, she planned to rewrite it and send it to the magazine.
"Wife, you're still awake?" Lu Jinyuan opened his eyes.
