"Thank you for your hard work." Ran Jinnian stepped forward to pick up the bag.
Zhou Xiangyang immediately said, "Sister-in-law, the things are heavy, let me carry them."
Ran Jinnian didn't try to be brave. She immediately went inside and poured Zhou Xiangyang a large bowl of sugar water: "You've worked hard, have some water."
Zhou Xiangyang put down his things, took the bowl, and drank it down in big gulps: "Sister-in-law, don't be so polite. Commander Lu and I have a good relationship. If Commander Lu isn't around, just let me know if you need anything."
Ran Jinnian poured him another glass: "Have dinner here and try your sister-in-law's cooking."
"No need, sister-in-law," Zhou Xiangyang waved his hand repeatedly.
Ran Jin said with dissatisfaction, "If you're going to be so polite, then your sister-in-law won't come to you for help in the future."
"Then I'll have to trouble you, sister-in-law."
Zhou Xiangyang grinned, looked at the hoe on the ground in the yard, and went straight out to start hoeing.
"Don't move, sit down and rest." Ran Jinnian quickly went out.

He recounted some embarrassing incident involving Commander Lu.
"Let's just chat. Now that you're back, I'll go cook some vegetables." Ran Jinnian patted the peanut crumbs off her hands.
Lu Jinyuan didn't want his wife to work hard: "I'll go cook."
"The rice is steamed and the vegetables are washed. Just start cooking. I'll get right to it." Ran Jinnian didn't want him to have to work so hard after a long day.
Lu Jinyuan took her hand: "With me here, leave the cooking to me."
