Chapter 129 Is she about to give birth? (1/2)

Fu Shen pondered for a long time, "This matter is not difficult in a way; it will depend on his choice at that time."

Su Yue couldn't help but ask, "What choice?"

Fu Shen shook his head, without telling Su Yue the reason.

He is only guessing based on his experience right now. The answer will be revealed when Huo Xueshen learns that his mother is gone.

When Su Yue first saw him ponder for a long time before answering a question, she didn't press him further.

Su Yue stayed home with Fu Shen for a few days.

After that, I started taking leisurely walks with Grandma Yang in the small park.

Many people heard that Fu Shen had arrived, but had not seen him come out, so they asked Grandma Yang about him.

"Why isn't Comrade Xiao Su's husband out with you?"

Grandma Yang looked around and said, "Look at this little park, where are the young men loitering here? Aren't they all just us old ladies and young wives?"

After Grandma Yang said that, everyone quickly changed the subject.

Some people vividly recounted how a daughter went to the countryside to marry a local, and then returned with her husband and children during the Spring Festival.

The man who went shopping with his wife looked rather silly; he would have been better off staying at home to avoid being laughed at.

Someone else chimed in, "Xiao Su's husband is a soldier, he certainly wouldn't be so dull-witted..."

Upon hearing this, Su Yue and Grandma Yang exchanged a smile.

Not long after breakfast, Su Yue, who was walking in the yard, suddenly felt a stomachache and slowly squatted down, clutching her stomach.

Fu Shen was hanging their clothes to dry in the yard when he caught sight of this scene. His expression changed drastically, and he rushed over anxiously, his voice filled with undisguised panic: "Yueyue, what's wrong?"

Hearing the commotion, Wang Jingyi and Grandma Yang, who were inside the house, hurriedly came out.

Wang Jingyi asked anxiously, "Is she about to give birth?"

Grandma Yang frowned and calmly analyzed, "The due date hasn't arrived yet, it shouldn't be that soon."

After the excruciating pain subsided, Su Yue forced herself to say, "It's okay, it doesn't hurt anymore."

Fu Shen: "It doesn't hurt anymore. We should go to the hospital now to see what happened."

Su Yue felt there was nothing wrong and gently declined, "No need."

The doctor said that you should prepare for the pain of childbirth, but what she just experienced clearly didn't seem like the symptoms of labor.

Fu Shen frowned. "Why not? There's a little life inside you. It's not like you can just have a stomachache from eating something bad and it'll go away. What if it causes problems for your health?"

Seeing the worry on Fu Shen's face, Wang Jingyi also advised, "Yueyue, listen to Fu Shen, go and see him so you can feel at ease."

Su Yue nodded, "Then let's go."

As soon as he finished speaking, Fu Shen bent down and picked up Su Yue.

Su Yue felt a little embarrassed. She gently patted Fu Shen's shoulder, blushed, and looked at the stunned Wang Jingyi and Grandma Yang. She whispered, "I can walk there. I don't need to be carried."

Fu Shen: "I can carry you there."

Wang Jingyi snapped out of her daze and smiled as she tried to smooth things over: "Yueyue, let Fu Shen carry her. He can get to the hospital faster and come back sooner."

Su Yue realized that it wasn't appropriate for Fu Shen to be out and about right now, so she stopped refusing and quietly nestled in his arms as they went out, with Wang Jingyi following behind.
