Chapter 139 is a man (2/2)

For most families, having brown sugar and eggs to eat every day during the postpartum period is considered a very luxurious treat.

Before Su Yue went into the space, she turned around and asked Fu Shen if he wanted to go in and eat together before coming out.

Fu Shen didn't feel hungry, so he decided not to go in. He was also worried that if the child woke up, there would be no one to take care of him.

When Su Yue came out after finishing her meal, she saw Fu Shen kneeling by the bed, his body pressed against the child's side, his eyes fixed on the sleeping child.

He would occasionally reach out and gently touch the child's ear. When he touched the little hand, he would carefully compare it with two of his fingers, muttering to himself, "So small, not even as big as two of my fingers."

Upon hearing this, Su Yue couldn't help but chuckle, "He was just born, how big could his hands be?"

As she spoke, she walked over, lay down on the other side of the child, and looked at the child tenderly.

Fu Shen turned to look at Su Yue, his eyes full of concern: "Are you sleepy? If you are, go to sleep first."

Su Yue shook her head, "I'm not sleepy."

She doesn't feel sleepy at all now; in fact, she's quite excited.

The two new parents watched their sleeping child quietly, their hearts and eyes filled with love, and they didn't feel sleepy at all.

As she watched, the child suddenly let out a soft cry. Su Yue was startled and her body trembled violently. She asked anxiously, "Is he hungry again?"

Fu Shen thought for a moment and said, "It shouldn't be, he just drank the milk not long ago."

He suddenly remembered what Grandma Yang had said: when a child cries, it's either because they're hungry, need to poop, or need to pee.

So he reached out and touched it, "I peed."

Su Yue: "I'll get the diapers."

Fu Shen stopped her, "I'll take it, you can just sit down."

As he spoke, he quickly got out of bed and grabbed a diaper.

Then he carefully changed the child's wet diaper, but as soon as he put it on halfway, the child frowned and cried out symbolically.

Su Yue looked puzzled: "Did you pee again?"

When Fu Shen opened it, he found that the child had neither defecated nor urinated.

He was also a little flustered, and said uncertainly, "You must be hungry now, right?"

Su Yue urged, "Then quickly wrap the diaper up, I'll feed you."

Just as Fu Shen finished wrapping the child up, the child started crying again.

The child didn't cry when he first opened the package, so why did he start crying as soon as he put the package on?

He opened the diaper again, picked it up, and examined it carefully with a serious expression.

Seeing him like this, Su Yue asked, "What are you looking at?"

Fu Shen frowned: "Let me see if there's anything stuck to him."

Hearing him say that, Su Yue also went over, and the two of them examined it carefully together.

I looked for a while, but found nothing.

Holding the diaper, Su Yue said with a puzzled look, "It's strange. These diapers were all made by my godmother, including the one we got from the hospital. Why did he cry when we changed him to a different one?"

Fu Shen was equally puzzled. The child stopped crying when not wearing a diaper, but started crying as soon as it was put on.

Suddenly he looked at the small wooden basin on the table, turned to Su Yue and said, "You watch him, I'm going out for a bit."

Su Yue watched as Fu Shen hurriedly left with a small wooden basin. A while later, he came back in carrying the same small wooden basin, but this time it was filled with cold water.

He poured the boiling water out of the kettle, carefully wrung out the towel, and then walked over quickly.

I gently wiped the baby's bottom, repeating the process two or three times, and then put a diaper back on. The baby finally stopped crying.

Seeing this scene, Su Yue was speechless.
