Qin Zhizhi stayed at Wang Jingyi's house for seven days before returning to Shenzhen. She stayed in Bincheng, where even breathing felt like being pricked by needles.
She thought she and Wang Renyi would meet on the second or third day, but when she went to the canteen for a meal, she never saw him.
He must be deliberately avoiding her, and there's really no need for me to be delusional anymore.
I thought that by keeping the title of "partner" on his end, he was genuinely waiting for her to come back. Perhaps, he was just using that title to avoid unnecessary trouble.
Qin Zhizhi whispered something to Wang Jingyi, then quietly packed her luggage, preparing to take the train back to Shenzhen.
She had originally planned to go back to Nancheng to see her parents and older brother, but seeing her current haggard appearance would only cause them distress and worry. She could only wait until she composed herself before going back to see them.
Wang Jingyi tried to persuade her gently, but when that failed, she gave up.

"Haha..." Qin Zhizhi chuckled softly at Su Yue's words, but there was no smile in her eyes.
Su Yue: "..." It's good that you can still smile.
After Qin Zhizhi finished laughing, she looked up at her and said softly, "Who said I've never been hungry? Have you forgotten that you bought me a big piece of pork last time I said I wanted to eat it?"
Su Yue raised an eyebrow: "So you're really not hungry right now?"
Qin Zhizhi raised her hand and touched her flat stomach, saying weakly, "I'm hungry but I don't want to eat."
During the few days she was on the train, apart from eating a dry, hard steamed bun at the beginning, she relied on drinking water to get through the rest of the trip.
I feel nauseous when I eat rice, I can't swallow steamed buns, and I sometimes feel bloated when I drink water.
The pain of heartbreak is truly intense!
She used to hear people say that heartbreak makes you lose your appetite and want to cry every day, but she didn't believe it. Not only did she not believe it, she also laughed at people for being dramatic.
It's just dating. If one relationship doesn't work out, move on to the next one. What's there to cry about?
Now she understands.

“I’m sure Wang Renyi doesn’t have anyone he likes right now. You came back looking so lost and dejected, I thought he had dumped you.”
