Chapter 58 I Don't Like Them (1/2)

Su Yue smiled and glared at him. "Why should I blame you? Second brother told you about his family, and second sister-in-law also told me. We don't have many relatives to begin with. Wouldn't it be better if our child had more of your love and care from second brother and sister-in-law?"

Fu Shen gazed at Su Yue, and couldn't help but gently pull her into his arms. His voice was low, filled with gratitude and dependence, "Yueyue, thank you."

Su Yue gently patted Fu Shen's back, "Why are you thanking me? I can tell from your eyes that your second brother must have been incredibly good to you when you were little, and so was Uncle Wu."

Otherwise, why would Fu Shen be so emotional when he saw Wu Zhongjian, his eyes instantly turning red, and his voice choking up when he spoke to him?

He didn't act like this when he saw his parents.

Fu Shen nodded in response, “They were all very good to me. When I was little, my second brother was always worried that I would go hungry. He would come to find me with food as soon as it was light and would not forget to give me things when it got dark. He would also keep telling me to eat before going back. When Uncle Wu went to the commune to handle some business, he learned about the recruitment and came back to tell me that if I wanted to go, he could help me. When I heard that I could eat my fill if I joined the army, I agreed without thinking. He handled everything from registration to physical examination. If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t have been able to leave the village on the day of the physical examination. After it was confirmed that I was on the enlistment list, he kept the news a secret from my parents.”

No one knows what method Uncle Wu used, but from the time he signed up to join the army until the army officially came to take him away, his parents didn't notice anything at all.

Su Yue pondered for a moment and said, "Your second brother is like your second parents, and Uncle Wu is your mentor who guides you toward a bright future. From now on, as long as we have food to eat, we will never let them down, and neither will your second sister-in-law."

Thinking about her second sister-in-law's illness, Su Yue began to worry, wondering if the water from the space would have any effect.

She couldn't figure out what magical effects the water had; the mysterious voice only said that the water would lose its effect if it left the bowl for half an hour.

What she knew was that after Fu Shen drank the water, the effects of the drug on his body were eliminated, and after she drank it herself, she became very strong.

After drinking it for another two months, my skin became whiter, but I don't know what other changes happened.

Overall, however, it's definitely not bad to drink it.

Su Yue decided that she would give Wang Xiaohua a drink then. She didn't want to think about having a child too far in the future. It wasn't a magic potion, but at least it would help her health improve.

Fu Shen couldn't help but chuckle softly, his smile full of doting and happiness. He slowly released Su Yue and lowered his head slightly. "From now on, my salary will be divided into three parts: one for you, one for my parents, and one for my second brother."

Su Yue nodded without hesitation, "Okay, you wouldn't be who you are today without them, but they don't include your parents. They treated you terribly, I don't like them, and if possible, don't give them a single penny."

Fu Shen paused for a moment; his parents were truly a complicated story.

At the time, all he wanted was to come back. Besides worrying about Su Yue's pregnancy, the most important thing was that he didn't want Su Yue to see his parents' ugly faces.

He gently stroked Su Yue's hair. "If there's nothing important, we won't come back. Giving them money is like paying for their old age. Giving them some money will reduce a lot of trouble. Even though they treated me very badly in the past, they still want me to give you to Fu Bao. I can't do anything about it. Will you blame me?"

Su Yue shook her head, "It's not your fault. Didn't you beat that person up? Even if we don't come back, what will happen to my second brother and sister-in-law?"

Without hesitation, Fu Shen said, "Take them out and find them jobs outside."

Su Yue's mind flashed back to the scene of many villagers going out to work a few years ago. Her eyes lit up and she agreed, "This method is feasible."

After Wu Guoliang finished washing the vegetables, Wang Xiaohua yelled at him to go to the main room to get some dried fish.

He walked to the door and happened to overhear their conversation.

He asked curiously, "What are you talking about? What method is possible?"

Su Yue glanced at Fu Shen and replied with a smile, "Fu Shen said he would take you and your second sister-in-law out and then help you find a job."

Wu Guoliang was squatting in front of a cabinet, reaching out to grab some dried fish when he suddenly stopped and turned around in a daze.

"Take us out of here and find us another job?"

Fu Shen said solemnly, "Jobs are hard to find these days, we'll have to wait."

Policies change rapidly these days, sometimes changing daily, so there may indeed be more job opportunities in the future.

Wu Guoliang laughed heartily, the laughter echoing in the room. "These days, finding a job is more than just difficult; it's practically a one-to-one situation. If there were so many jobs, why would one batch of educated youth come to the village and then another? I guess people in the city are so hungry that they've brought everyone to the village to farm."
