Chapter 60 Is He Out of His Mind? (2/2)

She asked in confusion, "You don't look like them at all. You look more like the person in my village who lives in the cowshed."

Su Yue spoke the next sentence very softly.

Fu Shen was slightly taken aback upon hearing this. Thinking of the appearances of Fu Bao, Fu Zhu, and Chen Yinmei, he realized that he was nothing like them and murmured, "It's normal for family members not to look alike, isn't it?"

Most of the people living in the cowshed were knowledgeable university professors, scientific and technological personnel, and people from party and government agencies. How could I possibly look like one of them?

Fu Shen shook his head helplessly.

Su Yue thought of the man in the village; although his long beard covered a lot of his face, he still looked like him.

“This is not normal. If you saw him, you wouldn’t think this way. You and that person look alike, are the same height, and even have similar voices. Why don’t we go back and take a look? Anyway, they’ve already separated you. Think about it, do you think your parents treat you like their own child?”

In Su Yue's eyes, Fu Shen was like a blood bag. When he was a child, his parents tried every means to make him have an accident, and when he grew up, they arranged for him to marry his cousin, who was a close relative.

If Chen Yinmei really were Fu Shen's cousin, Fu Liugen wouldn't dare to be so blatant even if he had ten lives.

He must have known that Fu Shen wasn't his biological son. He figured that since Fu Shen hadn't found out, he planned to keep it a secret forever. If Fu Shen did find out, he would just say that Fu Shen wasn't his biological son, and even if the matter was reported to the commune, they couldn't do anything about it.

Fu Shen genuinely did not believe that his parents were not his biological parents. The village elders all said they were, and most importantly, Wu Zhongjian did not think he was not. Therefore, he had no reason to doubt them.

Seeing that Fu Shen didn't speak, Su Yue continued, "What's wrong? Are you upset because I told you they aren't your biological parents?"

Fu Shen looked at Su Yue and said softly, "No, before I came back, I might have had some illusions about them, but after coming back this time, I found that I don't really miss them that much."

Su Yue: "That's fine then. Do you believe what I'm saying?"

Looking at Su Yue's serious expression, Fu Shen said, "If you say they aren't me..." He really didn't believe it.

Su Yue quickly interrupted him, "How will we know if it's true or not without investigating?"

Fu Shen couldn't refuse her, and smiled indulgently, "Okay, I'll wait until you've investigated it thoroughly."

Su Yue felt somewhat helpless; he wouldn't believe anything unless the facts were presented to him.

"Didn't you say you were going to help your second brother and sister-in-law with the chores? Go on now."

Fu Shen didn't speak, his gaze fixed on Su Yue's collar, where there was a little bit of oil stain.

Moreover, he could smell the meat buns and chicken on Su Yue after she got up and came back in the middle of the night last night.

Following his gaze, Su Yue looked down and realized that she had accidentally gotten the chicken leg on it.

She looked up at Fu Shen, her eyes darting around nervously.

Fu Shen found her appearance amusing. "The breakfast that Second Sister-in-law made today was pickled vegetables, not so oily. Where did Yueyue get this from? And last night, I smelled meat buns and chicken, just like the smell on you now."

Su Yue turned to look at Fu Shen in surprise, "You saw it last night?"

She remembered that after leaving the room, she cautiously glanced around before entering the space.

Fu Shen countered, "What did you see?"

Su Yue: "..." Of course, I watched her disappear.

Now that things have come to this point, and Fu Shen has already used the excuse of smelling something, she's already eaten meat buns and chicken late at night, so it really wouldn't be right if she didn't tell Fu Shen about the space.

But it's better to talk about these things inside.

She stood up and said, "Come inside, I have something to tell you."
