Qin Zhizhi had barely arrived in the village two days ago when she saw Wang Renyi's familiar figure appear in front of her house.
She was slightly taken aback. "Why are you here?"
Wang Renyi stood tall and pointed to the location of the Corps, saying, "I'll work here."
Qin Zhizhi frowned slightly and asked the same question as Su Yue.
"You've been discharged from the military?"
"I'm not quitting. I'm just working here temporarily for a year, and I'll go back after that." Wang Renyi's gaze was frank.
Upon hearing this, Qin Zhizhi's tense shoulders instantly relaxed. "I thought it was because of that incident that you were discharged from the army."
She spent three days in the interrogation room, and when she returned, she became the subject of much gossip in the village.
Her parents and older brother were worried for several days.
If Wang Renyi is discharged from the army after all she's done like this, wouldn't all her efforts have been in vain?
Qin Zhizhi glanced back into the room and said to Wang Renyi, "It's good that you're here. Go in and explain to my parents and older brother what I did in your army."
No matter how Qin Zhizhi explained it to her parents and older brother after she returned, they were still worried.
Wang Renyi went into the room and explained the whole story clearly and logically, which finally put their minds at ease.
Otherwise, I would keep thinking to myself, "Does my daughter's biological parents not want to acknowledge her and are deliberately causing this?"
At night, Su Yue stood at the window of her room, quietly gazing at the full moon in the sky.
She has been with the army for more than two months, and Fu Shen has been away on missions for more than two months.
He hasn't returned yet, and Su Yue both misses him and worries about him.
A few days later, in the dead of night, Fu Shen, covered in dust, stood at his door. He was about to knock when he thought for a moment and finally decided to climb over the wall to get in.
The moment his feet touched the ground and he stood in the courtyard, Fu Shen suddenly felt a churning in his stomach, a bit nauseous, wanting to vomit but having nothing to throw up.
He didn't take it seriously and subconsciously rubbed his stomach, thinking it was because he was hungry.
Not wanting to disturb Su Yue's rest, he tiptoed and carefully went to the kitchen to boil water, intending to drink some water to satisfy his hunger.
But seeing soy sauce and vinegar on the stove, I figured they should have bought noodles too.
Upon opening the cupboard, I found it indeed.
I put a handful of noodles in, and they were cooked in no time.
Fu Shen added oil, salt, and soy sauce to the noodles. The aroma of the noodles, which were usually ordinary, made him unable to control himself and swallow hard.
Her hands trembled slightly with excitement as she held the bowl, picking up noodles and putting them directly into her mouth.
"Snap."
The bowl, which had been holding half a bowl of noodles, fell into the pot.
Su Yue is a light sleeper, and when she heard the sound, it seemed to be coming from the kitchen.
In the army, she wouldn't have suspected him of being a thief.
Instead, she was filled with anticipation, and the thought that it was that person returning filled her with joy.
She quickly got up, opened the door, and hurried to the kitchen.
Seeing Fu Shen trying to pick up a bowl from the pot, even though there was a spoon next to it, he reached for it with his hand, burning himself and shrinking back, still not knowing how to change his approach.
Su Yue: "..."
She felt that the man had changed a little since he came back.
Fu Shen noticed someone at the door, paused, and turned to look.
Did I wake you up?
Su Yue smiled, walked to Fu Shen's side, and used a spoon to move the bowl from the pot into a basin.
Take another bowl, fill it with noodles, and hand it to Fu Shen.
"Eat."
Fu Shen was stunned by Su Yue's action of moving the bowl with a spoon.
Why didn't he think of that? He was only focused on using his hands to scoop up the scalding bowl.
Is he mentally ill?
Su Yue accompanied Fu Shen to finish eating noodles. Fu Shen then took a shower and returned to his room.
The nausea that I had suppressed after eating noodles has returned.
When Su Yue saw Fu Shen enter the room, she stood still, her lips pressed tightly together, as if she were enduring something.
She got out of bed and walked quickly over, looking at Fu Shen with concern, and asked, "What's wrong?"
She quickly glanced at Fu Shen's body again; there were no wounds.
Fu Shen came out after taking a shower, without wearing a shirt.
Just as Fu Shen was about to speak, his stomach churned, and he couldn't hold it in any longer. He turned around, ran outside, and vomited.
