Chapter 956 The Grand Finale: The Infiltrators (Part 2) (1/2)

The man carrying the hoe frowned and whispered, "Those cars that just passed by weren't from Cha Shenlou's group, but rather seemed to be Ning Man'an's convoy! Her people... somehow got out unharmed!"

The old woman, known as "Aunt Shu," suddenly turned as gloomy as the sky before a storm with her wrinkled face.

A cold, murderous glint and undisguised contempt flashed in her cloudy old eyes.

Ningman'an is gone? But the people in Chashenlou were beaten to a pulp inside?

What a piece of trash! A complete and utter failure! He can't even handle this simple task, falling right into such an obvious trap!

"Withdraw!" Aunt Shu's aged and hoarse voice was devoid of warmth, containing only cold decisiveness.

She never saves discarded pieces; Cha Shenlou has lost its value.

The highest principle for spies is to protect themselves.

She was able to remain hidden for so many years not because of her high position, but because she blended into her environment like a chameleon.

Make yourself the most inconspicuous person, leaving no handle for others to use against you.

The men immediately understood and quickly gathered up their farm tools, their faces regaining their honest and simple expressions, as if they had just finished a day's work.

They carried hoes and sickles, walking slowly along the ridges of the fields.

They quickly disappeared into a small, not very dense grove of trees nearby.

The woods were dimly lit, with branches and leaves blocking out most of the sunlight and isolating the noise from the distant factory.

The group quickened their pace, and the tense muscles on their faces relaxed slightly.

Just when they thought they were temporarily safe and could leave at their leisure—

"Pfft! Pfft! Pfft!"

Several extremely faint, muffled sounds, like the spurting of air, suddenly rang out in the silent woods!

That's the sound of a bullet going through a silencer!

"Watch out!" The leader's pupils constricted, and he shouted a stern warning!

But it was all too late!

Several almost invisible bullets shot out precisely from the shadows in the forest!

"Ugh!"

"Bang! Bang!!"

The two men in front jolted violently, blood gushing from their chests. Without uttering a sound, they collapsed to the ground.

The remaining two men were terrified and were about to raise their guns to retaliate when several more bullets accurately struck their wrists and shoulders!

"Ah!" With a scream, the gun fell from their hands and landed on the ground. The two men staggered and collapsed, their blood instantly staining the ground red.

Aunt Shu's expression changed drastically. Almost instinctively, she turned around abruptly and fled into the depths of the woods like a frightened mouse!

Her movements were far more agile than her hunched appearance suggested!

However, she had only run a few steps—

"Bang bang bang bang!"

Four muffled thuds rang out in succession!

A sharp pain shot through her limbs instantly! The bullets had pierced her shoulders and knees with pinpoint accuracy!

"Ah—!" Even with her strong will, Aunt Shu couldn't help but let out a shrill and painful scream!

She lost her balance and fell heavily to the ground, her withered limbs spread out at twisted angles, and blood gushed from her wounds.

The shadows of the trees swayed.

A dozen or so figures dressed in jungle camouflage, their faces painted with greasepaint, revealing only pairs of cold eyes, appeared silently from behind the surrounding trees like ghosts.

The leader was exceptionally tall and robust.

He stepped forward, squatted down, and with a rough and swift movement, a large hand wearing a tactical glove suddenly grabbed Aunt Shu's chin.

"Crack!" A sickening sound of bones dislocating rang out!

He ruthlessly dislocated Aunt Shu's chin!

The excruciating pain made her widen her terrified, cloudy eyes, and she let out muffled, incoherent groans.

The tall, camouflaged man remained expressionless as he reached into her wide-open mouth, his fingers deftly exploring the inside of her gums.

A moment later, he seemed to have not found what he was looking for. He frowned slightly and pulled out a pair of medical tooth extraction forceps that gleamed coldly from the tool bag at his waist!

"Old woman, you have a good set of teeth, you've hidden them well." The man's deep voice carried a hint of mockery.

As Aunt Shu struggled in terror and despair, he gripped the pliers, aimed at one of her back molars, and pulled it out with a sudden, forceful pull!

"Ouch—!!!" The excruciating pain nearly made Aunt Shu faint. Her body trembled violently, and tears and snot flowed uncontrollably down her face.

The man didn't even glance at the bloody tooth, casually tossed it aside, and grabbed the one next to it.

"Snap!"

"Snap!"

...

His movements were swift and decisive, as if he were handling an inanimate object.

The man pulled out all of Aunt Shu's molars until he was sure there were no suspicious dentures or cavities.

After doing all this, he casually put the pliers away, then pinched Aunt Shu's chin and snapped them back on.

The excruciating pain compounded, causing Aunt Shu to convulse all over. Her eyes, as she looked at the man, were filled with deep-seated hatred and boundless fear.

Looking at her disheveled appearance, the man revealed a smile that was a mixture of cruelty and hearty laughter, and chuckled in Mandarin with a northern accent—

"I'm sorry, old lady, my eyesight isn't as sharp as our captain's. I can't tell which tooth you have potassium cyanide in. Just to be on the safe side, I'll pull them all out so you don't do anything rash on the way."

He clapped his hands, signaling the people next to him to bandage her and stop the bleeding: "Don't worry, my marksmanship isn't as accurate as the captain's, but I only use small-caliber pistols. The bleeding isn't too fast, and the arteries shouldn't be injured. I guarantee you won't die, and you'll be able to go back alive for interrogation!"

His laughter echoed through the woods, carrying a chillingly cruel tone.

Aunt Shu trembled violently, her voice hoarse and broken: "It's...it's you...how...how could you have found me?!"

The tall man's smile slowly faded, replaced by a heavy, bloodthirsty chill.

"No wonder you're a veteran intelligence chief who's been lurking in the Far East for decades. You recognized your grandfathers. No wonder you're in charge of the Far East intelligence network."

The man's voice was chilling: "That's right, it's us, old man. Do you remember Pei Yong from the Independent Commission Against Corruption?"

Aunt Shu's pupils suddenly contracted: "You...he...how could he possibly have found it? I made sure everything was done perfectly!"

The tall man and the men in camouflage around him had cold, hateful eyes.

He said softly, "Our comrade was thrown from the ninth floor by you and your men. His limbs were broken and his internal organs were ruptured... but he used his own body to spread information about you, 'Aunt Shu'!"

Aunt Shu began to tremble all over...

Pei Yong's eyes, which seemed to see through everything and held a mocking look, appeared clearly before her eyes at the moment of his death!

Lurking in the darkness, my physical body will die!

My tombstone is nameless, but the ideals I uphold will live on forever!

...

Those were his last words, and they also tolled her death knell!

Aunt Shu was so desperate she could hardly breathe!

Not because of pain, but because of fear! Fear from the depths of my soul!

Years of carefully constructed disguise and a seemingly flawless infiltration were utterly shattered in this moment!

She... and her masters' Far East intelligence network...

It’s over! !

...

On the other side, on the second floor of the abandoned factory

The intense gunfire nearly ripped off eardrums, and the air was thick with gunpowder smoke and a nauseating smell of blood.

Cha Shenlou's men were killed in the first wave of attacks.

The rest, like frightened birds, fired wildly in response.

But they were completely unable to stop those camouflaged figures that moved like ghosts.

Those men moved swiftly, coordinated perfectly, and were terrifyingly accurate with their marksmanship; each short burst of fire inevitably took a life.

"Hold on! Hold on!"

"Retreat immediately! They're foreign mercenaries!!"

The remaining people of Chashenlou roared!
