Chapter 598 Change of Sex

Ning Yuan casually opened the gift bag, and what came into view was a dazzling pearl necklace, each pearl round and full, radiating a soft luster.

She raised an eyebrow. When did Ning Bingyu change his ways? He actually knows to bring gifts for his younger sister.

She fiddled with the necklace in her hand and casually asked, "How did you get in? I didn't know you were born in the Year of the Rat. Don't you knock before entering someone else's room?"

Ning Bingyu smiled noncommittally, walked straight to the sofa, sat down, crossed his legs, his movements elegant yet carrying an indescribable sense of oppression: "How could I possibly see my dear sister's 'innocent' face if I just knocked on the door?"

Rong Zhaonan, sitting on the sofa, paused slightly as he heard this, his fingers holding the book pausing briefly. He looked up and said calmly, "I forgot to close the door."

He glanced at Ning Bingyu indifferently. "He came to see me."

"I knew it! Did the sun rise in the west? The eldest young master of the Ning family actually brought me a gift from Hong Kong!" Ning Yuan glanced at Ning Bingyu with a half-smile, her tone full of sarcasm, and casually tossed the necklace back into the gift bag.

"When did you become so nice to me? This necklace, Mom didn't ask you to bring it to me, did she?"

Ning Bingyu was not annoyed that Ning Yuan had seen through his thoughts. He just smiled and shook his head, "You are still so smart, not cute at all."

Ning Yuan rolled her eyes at him: "Are you as snobbish as you? You're not here to see me, you're more like here to see Rong Zhaonan. Tony said you've only ever been this attentive to your girlfriends."

Ning Bingyu smiled gently and looked at Rong Zhaonan: "What's the difference? We're all family."

Rong Zhaonan remained indifferent, neither confirming nor denying.

Ning Yuan teased without holding back, "If you really like him, I, as your younger sister, will definitely give you my full support. We shouldn't let good things go to outsiders!"

Ning Bingyu narrowed his eyes and smiled: "Ning Yuan..."

Rong Zhaonan gave Ning Yuan a cool look: "You're quite generous."

Ning Yuan chuckled awkwardly, "Ah... just kidding!"

She momentarily forgot that this young man, Rong, had always been bothered by her generosity.

Ning Bingyu glanced at her and scoffed, "Look at you, all you know how to do is act tough in front of me."

"Where am I being arrogant? I just like to tell the truth," Ning Yuan said with an innocent smile, retorting, "I think you and that Lu Jingui are a perfect match. One is cunning and the other is hypocritical. You're a perfect match! Just make do. Don't look down on him because he's older and has had children. After all, he's a cultured person and a writer. It'll be a great honor to take him out!"

"Ning Yuan!" Ning Bingyu glanced at her coldly.

She knew perfectly well that he was disgusting, like a cockroach.

He looked at Rong Zhaonan: "Would you mind if I could borrow this document to make a copy?"

Rong Zhaonan raised an eyebrow slightly: "I don't mind, but it's just photocopying..."

"I brought two of my best Canon copiers and Panasonic fax machines with me this time, as a small...gift for renewing contracts with customers from the mainland," Ning Bingyu said with a smile.

"The single-channel fax machine in mainland China has complicated procedures for switching and transferring, low quality, high retransmission rate, and many other problems. Therefore, with the approval of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, the fax machine exchange station was discontinued on April 1, 1980, which will make office work somewhat inconvenient." Ning Bingyu gently pushed up his glasses.

Upon hearing this, Ning Yuan couldn't help but mutter, "I knew I was just an extra. You didn't bring me a gift specifically for me; you brought a gift for my man."

Ning Bingyu really knows how to "give gifts" so that Rong Zhaonan can't refuse on behalf of the mainland guests and has to accept the favor.

Such advanced technology was severely lacking in mainland China in the early years due to the blockade imposed on it.

"I'll call the guest first, but thank you anyway." Rong Zhaonan smiled faintly.

Ning Bingyu smiled and said, "Then I won't bother you any longer. I'll take this document out to make a copy."

After Ning Bingyu left, Ning Yuan rolled her eyes at his retreating figure, then turned to Rong Zhaonan and complained, "What kind of person is he? I'm his sister, for goodness' sake! He doesn't even know how to please me. Doesn't he know I'm his wife? If I whisper in his ear, he'll be in big trouble in no time!"

Rong Zhaonan gave her a cool glance: "Because he knows that even if you whisper in my ear, it won't affect any of my decisions on official business."

Ning Yuan was furious. She grabbed a cushion from the sofa and threw it at him: "Rong Zhaonan! What nonsense are you spouting!"

Rong Zhaonan caught the pillow without flinching or dodging: "What, are you getting angry? You've known me for a while now, don't you know my principles?"

"Yes, yes, Comrade Rong Zhaonan, you are the most upright and selfless, alright? You can't influence my principles!" Ning Yuan rolled her eyes at him, annoyed.

Rong Zhaonan tossed the cushion aside, smiled, and pulled Ning Yuan onto his lap, his tone teasing: "What? You still want to use your beauty on me? Try it, I might fall for your sweet-coated bullets, you little spy."

Ning Yuan's heart raced under his gaze, but she still stubbornly said, "Who's a little spy? Don't flatter yourself, I just..."

Before she could finish speaking, he silenced her with a kiss.

His kiss was domineering and passionate, with a hint of punishment: "Just what? Just sending me to your cheap older brother?"

Ning Yuan was breathless from Rong Zhaonan's kisses. She finally found a chance to push him away, her face flushed, and she gritted her teeth, muttering, "What are you doing! Brother Pink Sausage just left, and you..."

Rong Zhaonan chuckled dismissively, his fingers lightly tracing her lips, his tone meaningful: "What, afraid your brother will find out about our relationship? Believe me, if I were in Hong Kong, he could pack you up and send you to my bed."

Ning Yuan held back, then gave a weak snort: "Then I could pack him up and put him in Lu Jingui's bed in the mainland!"

Rong Zhaonan chuckled, pulling her tightly into his arms. He lowered his head to kiss her earlobe, his long fingers deftly unbuttoning her clothes. His voice was deep and seductive: "Let's stop talking about him, let's continue discussing sugar-coated bullets..."

Ning Yuan: "Wait a minute, who's the little spy...?"

He flipped over and pinned the little spy, who was trying to resist and protest, to the sofa, forcing him to experience the sugar-coated bullet.

...

Ning Bingyu left the room, his smile fading. He tossed the documents in his hand to Tony expressionlessly: "Go make a copy of Mother Cockroach's information."

Tony took the documents, looking completely bewildered, and asked, "Young Master, Miss Ning could have handled this small matter herself, why did you have to do it personally..."

Ms. Ning is more suited to handle these kinds of things in mainland China than the young master, and this is such a small matter, why would the boss need to get involved personally?

Ning Bingyu elegantly took out a cigarette lighter from his suit pocket, lit a cigar with a click, took a puff, and slowly exhaled the smoke, obscuring the sinister glint in his eyes.

“Their methods are subtle and gentle. At most, they can make that woman lose face and drop out of school. How is that enough?” Ning Bingyu’s tone was indifferent, as if he were talking about the weather. But Tony clearly felt a chill creep up from the soles of his feet.

"Seeing this document today is disgusting." He spoke indifferently, as if he were talking about the weather. "This kind of trash dares to covet me? Shouldn't they take a piss and look at themselves in the mirror? How much incense ash did they eat in their past life to dare to come and fumigate me again and again in this life?"

He slowly flicked his cigar, the crimson glow reflecting on his handsome face, which inexplicably added a touch of coldness.

Tony felt a chill run down his spine. He knew that his young master, though seemingly gentle and refined, was more ruthless than anyone else. Today, he was probably truly disgusted.
