Chapter 48 Bringing the Eldest Sister Home
Gu Yiye's idea was simple: once you bring a wife home, you should pamper and cherish her.

Lin Shanshan had heard Gu Yiye say that Gu Xiang often secretly gave him food when they were little, and she was grateful to this older sister. She said, "I'll go with you."

It seems they're determined to send the mother and daughter back to their husband's family.

Gu Yiye was furious and shouted loudly, "Gu Yong, let go of my eldest sister!"

Wangdi struggled to get down from Cao Chunhua's arms, rushed to Gu Xiang, grabbed Gu Xiang's hand which had been reddened by Gu Yong, and said angrily, "Mom, does it hurt? Let me blow on it for you."
Gu Xiang patted her daughter's head and said, "Wangdi, don't cry, Mommy isn't in pain."
Lin Shanshan took out a piece of candy and gave it to Wangdi, saying, "Little girl, eat this. It will stop you from crying."
Gu Xiang looked up at the girl in front of her, who was completely different from the women in the village. She had snow-white skin and was dazzlingly beautiful, but she didn't recognize her.
