While wiping away her tears, Liu Nian didn't forget to give Su Xu a meaningful look. Su Xu was momentarily stunned, but immediately understood what Liu Nian meant.
"Sigh, it was my wife who kept saying she heard some noise and asked me to come and check. That's when I found out that Su Hang was in trouble!" Su Xu's face was full of regret. "If only I had come out sooner."

Everyone felt sorry for Su Xu, thinking that Su Hang might become Su Xu's burden in the future, and the young couple was really unlucky to have such a brother as Su Hang.

Su Hang had already fainted, his body covered in blood, which startled everyone into gasping.
"Get him to the hospital quickly, he might still be alive!"
"Why send someone like that to a hospital? Just let him die!"
Letting him die now would be too easy for him, and he still has some use to him, so Su Xu is reluctant to let him die.
"Let's take him to the hospital," Su Xu sighed. "He's my brother after all."
A group of people hurriedly lifted Su Hang onto the tractor. Su Xu first took Liu Nian home, then called Liu Hua to keep him company. He was just about to turn around—
Liu Nian suddenly took a few steps forward, grabbed his sleeve, and said, "Su Xu, let's come back and talk."

"We're fine." Liu Nian smiled and nudged Liu Hua's back, saying, "Come on, let's go inside. Don't overthink it."
The two stepped across the threshold, and Liu Hua said with a worried expression, "Oh dear, how did this happen? From now on, Su Hang will be a cripple, and you'll have to support him."
Keep him alive? Hah, Liu Nian sneered inwardly. He thought that if Su Hang fell into his and Su Xu's hands, he would have an easy time? What was he thinking?
Su Xu didn't return home until almost dawn. When the door creaked open, Liu Nian quickly sat up straight on the kang (a heated brick bed).
Su Xu tiptoed into the room and was taken aback when he saw the little woman sitting on the kang (a heated brick bed). "I still woke you up."
"Is Mom sleeping in that room?" Su Xu turned his head and looked at the door across the hall.
Liu Nian nodded. "You must be tired from not sleeping all night?"
She was about to get up from the kang (a heated brick bed) to get Su Xu some food when Su Xu pressed her down and said, "It's okay, you rest, I can do it myself."
The words were on the tip of her tongue, but she swallowed them back. Her mind was full of questions, but she didn't voice them. It wasn't until Su Xu finished eating and the two of them got onto the kang (heated brick bed) that Liu Nian tentatively asked, "Want to talk?"
Su Xu and Liu Nian lay side by side. Su Xu smiled softly and turned his head to look at Liu Nian.
"It's so nice to lie here with you." Su Xu's eyes sparkled. "The scene I've imagined countless times has finally come true."
"Niannian." Su Xu turned around, and the two faced each other.
Liu Nian looked into his eyes, his nose, and the slight curve of his lips, and whispered, "Are you also—"
"Yes." Su Xu raised his hand and touched Liu Nian's cheek, his thumb gently rubbing it. He said, "I have regained my memories of being reborn."
