Chapter 11 Wedding Night
"Move over a bit." Su Xu gently pulled Liu Nian, who looked up in confusion.
She then noticed that she was in the blazing sun, feeling unbearably hot. Su Xu switched places with Liu Nian, which conveniently shielded Liu Nian from some of the harsh sunlight.
"Are you thirsty?" Su Xu took out a military water bottle from the cloth bag, unscrewed it, and handed it over.
His gaze remained fixed on Liu Nian. She frowned and squinted; Su Xu understood that she was sunburnt. She licked her lips, wanting a drink of water.
Liu Nian looked at Su Xu's hand holding the kettle. His large, thick palm was covered with prominent veins, and the clothes on his wrist were rolled up, revealing his powerful arm.
Seeing that Liu Nian didn't move, he tentatively pushed her forward a little more.
Liu Nian then snapped out of her daze and quickly took it. She tilted her head back, revealing a section of her white, lotus-root-like neck, her delicate skin as white as snow, making those who saw it envious.
Su Xu quickly coughed lightly and looked away.
"You added sugar?" Liu Nian blinked in surprise. "It tastes so good!"
"Mm." Su Xu nodded. "I'm glad you like it."
Standing to the side, Liu Xiangxiang rolled her eyes in exasperation. Then she looked at Su Hang, who was staring intently at Liu Nian!
"Hey!" Liu Xiangxiang gave Su Hang a hard elbow, shoving it into his stomach. "I'm thirsty!"
And she was hot too, so Su Hang actually stood in the shade and let her bask in the sun!
Su Hang said impatiently, "Go ahead and be thirsty, I'm thirsty too!"

The production team was going to the county to buy fertilizer today. The driver, Mr. Wang, had a pipe in his mouth. As soon as the car stopped, Su Hang frowned and complained unhappily, "Why are you so late today?"
Su Xu politely called out to the people and reached out to help Liu Nian into the car.
"We're all born from the same mother, so why are there such big differences between people?" Master Wang looked down on Su Hang, puffing on his cigarette and narrowing his eyes. "Hurry up and sit down, we're off!"
Liu Xiangxiang was still standing under the car, anxiously reaching out, "Please help me up!" She watched as Su Xu helped Liu Nian into the car, then took a cushion from his cloth bag and placed it under Liu Nian's bottom, showing thoughtfulness and care. Compared to that, her own man was infuriating.
"You women are such a hassle." Su Hang stood up irritably and finally managed to pull Liu Xiangxiang into the car.
There was nowhere to sit in the car, and the ground was dirty and cold. Liu Xiangxiang watched with great resentment as Liu Nian comfortably leaned against Su Xu, nestled against his shoulder, and dozed off.
Su Xu straightened his back, not daring to move, and remained in the same posture.
The road was difficult to travel on, consisting of potholes and dirt tracks. Whenever there was a bump, Su Xu would carefully protect Liu Nian's head, afraid that she would bump it.
Seeing this, Liu Xiangxiang was furious and glared fiercely at Su Hang.
Upon arriving at the marriage registration office, the four of them, carrying the introduction letter from their team and their household registration booklets, went to register.
As Liu Nian watched Su Xu carefully write her name, she suddenly felt a sense of peace.
He stared blankly, writing each stroke with extra force, his hands trembling, his heart trembling along with them.
The moment he received the marriage certificate, Su Xu could no longer control himself. He hugged Liu Nian tightly and choked out, "Niannian, I've finally married you."
He held her tightly, as if he wanted to meld her into his body. Liu Nian's face was pressed against his chest, and she could hear his strong heartbeat.
Thump...thump...thump...and her heart raced.
"Hey, lots of people are watching." Liu Nian reached out and poked the back of his hand, then looked up in embarrassment.
Su Xu took a deep breath before releasing Liu Nian. His tanned skin was slightly flushed as he explained, "I was just too excited."
She loved seeing rough men act shy. Liu Nian blinked and said, "We're husband and wife now, please take care of me from now on!"
