Chapter 131 Marry Me (1/2)

Chapter 131 Marry Me

The texture I felt was resilient skin, unlike her soft skin; it was thin and firm.

Yunmo was a little nervous, and his hands unconsciously tightened, scratching at it.

...

When it ended, Yunmo was still in a daze.

"Hey, little girl, wake up." Zhang Chengdong pinched her cheek, and his thumb couldn't help but rub against her cheek.

"Huh?" Yunmo finally came to his senses.

Her eyes met the man's, and her heart was still pounding.

The man's eyes were like a starry sea. Yunmo reached out and gently touched his eyebrows and eyes, tracing the outline of his brow bone with his thumb.

"You know what? The first time I saw you, I felt like I knew you." Yunmo seemed lost in memories, her expression indifferent, but a glint of light flashed in her eyes.

Her fingers continued downwards, gliding across the man's face, chin, and finally down his neck to his collarbone, all the way down to his lower back.

There was a hideous scar there, like a centipede crawling on his body, baring its fangs and claws.

The woman's fingertips were slightly cool as they gently traced his skin. Zhang Chengdong narrowed his eyes and said, "Is that so?"

"Hmm." Yunmo nodded. That was many, many years ago.

Yun Hanting offended someone, and Yun Mo was targeted as a result. She was small, and a group of people stopped her at the school gate, trying to forcibly take her away.

Yunmo couldn't remember many of the details clearly. She remembered that she kept calling for help. In her extreme terror, Yunmo couldn't even see who was in front of her, but she could feel a pair of deep and bright eyes looking at her.

He then shielded her tightly beneath him.

A knife had been plunged into the man's waist, and the smell of blood filled the air. Yunmo cried out in fear.

She was already somewhat delirious, frantically hiding in the man's arms, staring blankly at the spurting blood. The warm blood flowed over her hand, the slippery and wet touch leaving a scar on her heart, one that could not be erased or forgotten.

The man had a pleasant voice, though his breathing was unsteady, he coaxed her, "Little girl, be good, close your eyes."

He covered her eyes without hesitation, his large hands trembling slightly.

Then everything seemed to quiet down. Yunmo was picked up by the man, and he struggled to walk forward, humming a song softly in her ear to soothe her.

"Don't be afraid, your brother is here."

The voice could bewitch her and make her stop crying.

The Yun family took her to the military base to thank the soldiers who had acted bravely.

Little Yunmo was thinking about how to thank him. She had heard many operas, and the ending was always about repaying him with one's body.

She tugged at the man's clothes and whispered, "Brother, my name is Yunmo. How about I repay you with my body?"

"Okay." The man's voice was still weak, but he laughed out loud. "You little girl, do you know what it means to repay someone with your body? But I'll remember that."

"Don't forget."

"No." Yunmo ran behind the medal, took out a pen, and carefully drew a little girl on the back.

"Look, I've offered myself to him!"

People were laughing, laughing at her innocence and cuteness. The man, with his eyes lowered, also laughed, laughing at himself for that brief moment of dazedness.

But then she really forgot about it, supposedly due to post-traumatic stress disorder, which caused her to selectively forget many things. For a long time, she couldn't even recall this experience, and in just a few years, she grew into a beautiful young woman.

But the feeling of the warm blood spreading across her hands, and the man's deep eyes, often reminded her of those memories.

She woke up from her dream, lost in thought about those eyes.

It wasn't until now that Yunmo realized that Zhou Han's eyes looked very much like hers, which had bothered her for so many years.

That day, she met Zhang Chengdong in Jiangjuntun. His eyes and deep voice woke her from her dream again.
