Chapter 137 Su Feng's results slapped everyone in the face.
"I'm not going!" Wu Qi stood up angrily. "Su Feng and I are in love and we're officially dating. You're making me go on a blind date with someone else? Aren't you making me break the rules?"
"Then go and make it clear to her that you're breaking up." Wu Hui also stood up, looking at Wu Qi with disappointment. "What's so good about that Su Feng? The girl I introduced to you has parents who are permanent employees in the factory! And her brother is a street-level cadre."
Wu Qi glanced at them and said, "I will not break up with Su Feng. If you don't agree, I will become a live-in son-in-law in the Zhang family."
"You've gone too far!" Mr. Wu slammed his hand on the table, gathered his strength, and said, "You'll regret this one day!"
Wu Qi ignored them and walked straight to the door, saying as she went, "Anyway, I'm not going on a blind date. Whoever wants to go can go."
He drove straight to Jiangjuntun as soon as he left the house, going there even more frequently than before. He was afraid that Sufeng would overthink things and think that he had some kind of idea because Sufeng had been admitted to university.
When he arrived, Su Feng was discussing college application matters with Liu Nian.
“I want to apply to Tsinghua University.” Su Feng smiled at Liu Nian. “I think I’m good enough.”
“I also think you’re fine.” Liu Nian raised an eyebrow at Su Feng, she was now just waiting for the results.
Wu Qi was confused. "Tsinghua?"
Didn't they say Su-Feng didn't do well on the exam? How dare she apply to the top university?
Su Feng blinked. "Just wait for the news."
The two were like they were playing a game of charades. Wu Qi's mind was still stuck on Su Feng's sad expression as she told him that she hadn't done well on the exam.
The Zhang family naturally knew how well Su Feng had done on the exam, but they never made a fuss before the results were released, wanting to be cautious and avoid embarrassing themselves.
Both Su Feng and Liu Nian have been feeling a sense of anticipation lately, and they're about to lose all their patience.
The day of the results announcement finally arrived, and the notice board in front of the Education Bureau was crowded with people.
The entire Zhang family mobilized, and Wu Qi drove to Jiangjuntun before dawn.
People in the countryside get up early. Watching Wu Qi's car speeding out of the village with smoke billowing from its rear, they rubbed their eyes, yawned, and said, "What's he doing so early in the morning?"
"The results will be out today."
"Didn't you say you wouldn't pass the exam? Why are you in such a hurry?"

They didn't understand either, so they shook their heads and went about their business.
The area in front of the list was already crowded with people; Wu Qi and his group hadn't arrived too early.
As soon as I entered the Education Bureau, I heard several examinees whispering as they walked out.
"I'm doomed this year. I just scored a little over 100 on the test."
"Wow, the first student this year did really well! Almost got a perfect score!"
"Yes, her name is Zhang Sufeng! That name sounds like a girl's, she's really something."
The group of people were stunned, especially Wu Qi.
The Zhang family was naturally confident about Su Feng's results, but they never expected that Su Feng would actually be the top scorer! For Wu Qi, however, it was simply a pipe dream!
He was prepared for the possibility that Su Feng would have no school to attend, and he was even planning to outwit his family in order to avoid breaking up.
"First place? Zhang Sufeng?" Wu Qi walked forward hurriedly, saying incredulously, "Could it be a case of the same name?"
He rushed to the list, looked at the name at the top, and carefully checked the exam number before he believed it.
"Su Feng! Su Feng!" He rushed excitedly to Su Feng and hugged her tightly. "Su Feng, you're number one!"
He picked Su Feng up in his arms and looked at her, his voice choked with emotion.
Su Feng just smiled faintly and looked down at Wu Qi.
