Chapter 139 Liu Nian is giving birth, not dying, why is Su Xu crying? (2/2)

"Honey, does it hurt?"

"Pinch me if it hurts."

"Wife, you can't be hurt." Su Xu's eyes suddenly reddened.

He watched Liu Nian being tortured, groaning softly and moaning in pain, as if he were being stabbed with knives.

"It's okay," Liu Nian said, enduring the pain while comforting Su Xu. "Don't cry!"

She didn't want the first thing her children would see when they met him was a tearful old man.

They sped along the road and finally arrived at the hospital, where Liu Nian went straight to the delivery room.

"Wife! Wife!" Su Xu grabbed Liu Nian's hand. "Can't I go in with my wife?"

"Can you give birth to your wife's child?" The doctor shoved Su Xu aside and said, "Get out of the way!"

Su Xu stood at the door of the delivery room, staring blankly at the closed door.

This period felt like an eternity for Su Xu, as he kept pacing in circles outside the hospital.

He was muttering to himself—

"Please pray that my wife is alright!"

"I wish my wife peace and safety!"

"Waaah, I can't live without my wife..."

He's already starting to imagine what he'll do if Nian Nian doesn't come out. He'd rather not have a child at all than lose Nian Nian because of the baby.

He absolutely cannot live on his own!

"Niannian! I can't live without you!" Su Xu, with tears in her eyes, knelt down at the door of the delivery room with a thud.

At the same time, the Liu family arrived with their belongings. Upon seeing Su Xu's posture, they all immediately collapsed to the ground, their legs giving way.

"My daughter! My poor daughter!" Liu Hua wailed.

Liu Dafa bit his lip tightly and sobbed.

Liu Qiang stared blankly ahead, weeping silently, while Zhang Suzhen looked on with grief.

"What happened to you?" Su Feng was so frightened that she dared not speak loudly. How could things have turned out like this in just a few seconds?

Liu Nian was just giving birth, she didn't die.

"Niannian—" Su Xu sobbed, "She's suffering!"

The Liu family was stunned when they heard this.

At the same time, the delivery room door was pushed open, and the doctor came out and shouted, "Give me the blanket to wrap the baby!"

Upon hearing this, Liu Hua immediately stood up, handed over the package, and asked, "My daughter isn't dead?"

The doctor glanced at them, puzzled. "What nonsense are you thinking?"

After taking the small blanket, the doctor inexplicably rushed back to the delivery room.

Then, the Liu family secretly wiped away their tears, stood up, and looked at Su Xu.

Su Xu's pained expression, reddened eyes, and muttering to himself made it seem as if something had happened to Liu Nian!

It gave them a false alarm.

“I didn’t see you like this when I was giving birth,” Zhang Suzhen said, rolling her eyes at Liu Qiang.

Liu Qiang smirked, realizing how much his brother-in-law truly adored his sister. He glanced at her worried expression.

Su Xu didn't know why, but he seemed to suddenly hear a series of cries.

The little ones cried loudly, and then the door was pushed open.

"Liu Nian's family!" A nurse came out carrying a small, wrapped blanket. "Come quickly and take him. He weighs four pounds and eight ounces; it's a boy!"

Su Xu immediately stood up and asked, "Where's my wife? Is she alright? How is she? Why hasn't she come out yet?"

The nurse said, "Your wife is fine, please answer the call quickly."

Su Xu shook his head and kept looking inside.

In the end, it was Liu Hua who took it.

Then another baby was brought out, another boy. Su Xu still didn't even glance at him.

Even the nurses exclaimed, "Look at other people's husbands! Compared to their wives, their children are insignificant!"

Finally, the delivery room door opened, and Liu Nian and the last baby girl were wheeled out together on a stretcher.

Su Xu's eyes lit up instantly, and he rushed over and grabbed Liu Nian's hand.

"Wife, you've suffered so much!" he said, his eyes red. "We'll never have any more children!"

Liu Nian smiled weakly, but it was a smile of happiness.

"You haven't seen the kids yet, have you?" Liu Nian said, pulling his hand. "Come on, say hello to them."

Su Xu's face was sour. "No, it's their fault for torturing you like this."

Su Xu didn't want to look at them at all. The little ones seemed to sense their biological father's disdain, and they all started crying in grievance.

The three of them cried together, and the sound shook the entrance to the delivery room.

"Go and comfort the babies!" Liu Nian said, pulling Su Xu's hand. "Honey?"

Su Xucai took a deep breath, bent down, pressed his face against Liu Nian's, closed his eyes and said, "Niannian, it's so good that you're alright."
