Chapter 183 Su Feng, I'm Waiting for You
It is Gu Weizhen.
When Liu Nian and Su Xu approached, he was surrounded by a strong smell of cigarettes, and it was unclear how many he had smoked.
He stared at people passing by the school gate like a demon. The passersby were shocked by his handsome face and his overly indifferent eyes, but when they caught a glimpse of the figure approaching from afar, he immediately stood up straight and put down his cigarette.
With a cigarette between his fingers, he abandoned his lazy and slouching demeanor, his eyes fixed intently on Su Feng as she approached.
Su Feng, dressed in blue, held a book in her hands and waved it at Liu Nian.
The gaze fixed on her was impossible to ignore; her hand paused in mid-air before hastily retracting it.
She felt somewhat guilty in front of Gu Weizhen. She had memorized the number on the note, but had never dialed it.
How did he end up at her school gate? Did he just happen to run into Liu Nian and the others, or did they come together by appointment?
Su Feng didn't dare to look Gu Weizhen in the eye. She lowered her head and quickly walked to Liu Nian's side before nodding to Gu Weizhen and saying, "Hi."
"Yes, it's been a long time," Gu Weizhen said, stubbing out her cigarette.
The firework struggled on the extinguished embers of the cigarette butt, with only a faint wisp escaping from his fingertips, his long, slender fingers seeming to grasp at the blue mist.
Su Feng thought the scene was beautiful; she liked beautiful hands.
"What a coincidence," Liu Nian said, glancing between Gu Weizhen and Su Feng. "I didn't expect to run into you here. Did you two arrange to meet today?"
Liu Nian looked at Gu Weizhen and thought to herself, "Isn't this interrupting their date?"
"No," Gu Weizhen said. "I came here to try my luck."
His tone was calm and even, seemingly without expectation or complaint.
"This man is interesting," Liu Nian raised an eyebrow.
Su Feng didn't know where to look. The other person hadn't said they were here to try their luck. Su Feng felt that she was being a bit presumptuous.
Seeing the atmosphere between the two, Liu Nian decided to add fuel to the fire. So she smiled and said, "Su Feng, didn't he leave you his phone number? Didn't you call?"
"I was too busy and forgot." Su Feng looked at Liu Nian awkwardly and kept giving her meaningful glances.
Liu Nian pretended not to see it and said, "Oh, I see."
Gu Weizhen murmured softly, "Oh, I see." He mimicked Liu Nian's tone, but drew out the syllables, adding a hint of disappointment.
“But I was lucky.” Gu Weizhen put her hands in her pockets, straightened up and said, “I believe in fate. People who are meant to meet will meet no matter what. You see, I only waited here a few times and then I met you.”
"It turns out we're destined to be together." Gu Weizhen leaned forward, his deep eyes fixed on her. "Don't you think so, Su Feng?"
Su Feng avoided his gaze and scratched her nose uncomfortably.
How many times did she wait? How many times exactly? What if he never saw her again? Su Feng had many questions in her mind: Why did this person know her name was Su Feng? Why did he give her his phone number…?
Liu Nian clicked her tongue twice in her heart, thinking that this man was really too good, and Su Feng was no match for him.
"Well, we're leaving tomorrow, so we came to see you today." Liu Nian thought she should say a few words quickly and then leave; she and Su Xu didn't want to be a third wheel.
Before coming, Liu Nian and Su Xu bought some things for Su Feng. They handed the things over and said, "Alright, we're relieved to see you're doing well. We're leaving now!"
"Sister Nian," Su Feng said somewhat embarrassedly, "Why did you buy me so many things?"
"When you get home, please give my family a message and tell them I'm doing well." Su Feng said, glancing at Gu Weizhen with some unease, "I miss them very much."
"Okay." Liu Nian nodded and pulled Su Xu away quickly.
