How did Jin Qiaomei end up here?
Liu Nian was wondering why her parents hadn't come out to greet her; it turned out they had an uninvited guest visiting their home.
Jin Qiaomei, wearing a red dress and a hair clip, slowly stood up, her gaze passing over Liu Nian and looking at Su Xu behind her.
"Brother Xu, I heard from my godmother that you're going back to your parents' home today, so I came uninvited." Jin Qiaomei smiled gently, her eyes fixed directly on Su Xu.
Liu Nian asked, "Godmother?"
Jin Qiaomei nodded, "Yes, Aunt Wang has recognized me as her goddaughter. She didn't tell you."
"Oh." Liu Nian raised an eyebrow.
No one in the room had a pleasant expression. They all knew about the affair between Jin Qiaomei and Su Xu. But no one expected Jin Qiaomei to be so disgusting, coming to disrupt their wedding day—wasn't she just deliberately trying to upset them?
Liu Nian smiled slightly as she looked at Jin Qiaomei, as if she were looking at a clown.
"Actually, I'm here today to give you an ultimatum." Jin Qiaomei said arrogantly, her head held high. "The Su family's house was left to me by my grandmother. Our family kindly let the Su family stay here."
"Now, I demand that you move out of the west wing of the Su family's house."
Jin Qiaomei looked at Liu Nian smugly, a victorious smile on her lips. Wouldn't Liu Nian beg for mercy from her soon?
Back then, the Su family lived in the county town, but due to their bad class background, their property was confiscated, forcing them to move back to their ancestral home, Jiangjuntun. The Jin family had kindly lent their old house to the Su family, and before long, they had lived there for so many years.
However, Liu Nian showed no sign of panic, which froze Jin Qiaomei's smile, and it gradually disappeared.
Liu Nian simply nodded and said, "I understand."
Not seeing the scene she wanted to see, Jin Qiaomei glared angrily at Liu Nian, then turned to Su Xu, "Brother Xu, if you agree to divorce Liu Nian and marry me, I'll let you continue living in the west wing, how about it?"
"I will not divorce Liu Nian," Su Xu said resolutely, his eyes revealing his disgust for Jin Qiaomei. "I'd rather live in a cowshed than have anything to do with you!"
Although Su Xu had refused her firmly before, he had at least given her some face. But now he didn't want to give her any face at all.
"You—" Jin Qiaomei pointed at Su Xu, her hand trembling, "Fine, you have guts! Then you and Liu Nian should move out of the west wing right now!"
"How can you be so shameless, a young lady like you? All you do is covet other people's men!" Liu Nian chuckled, too lazy to argue with Jin Qiaomei anymore, and pulled Jin Qiaomei out of the house.
Jin Qiaomei was no match for Liu Nian and was thrown onto the street by him while staggering.
“Liu Nian! How am I shameless! I just like Brother Xu, he is my love! Can’t I have love?” Jin Qiaomei yelled at Liu Nian, indignantly saying, “A life without love is empty.”
The older women passing by looked at them with disdain, saying, "What love or affection?"
"When did Su Xu become her love interest? Isn't Su Xu Liu Nian's man?"
"Oh my, are you trying to ruin someone's marriage?! How did the Jin family raise their daughter?"
