Chapter 216 Angered by a Heartache

Chapter 216 Angered by a Heartache

Liu Nian was angry. As soon as Da Bao came home, Liu Nian pulled Da Bao aside and asked, "Da Bao, how are you doing at kindergarten? Are you keeping up with what you're learning?"

"Hmm, it's very simple. You've already taught me everything. It's not interesting at all." Da Bao said with little interest, "The kindergarten kids are also childish. It's not fun."

The second and third children sat together looking at the eldest child, and said with heartache, "Brother, if kindergarten is boring, why don't you just not go? Wouldn't it be better to play with us?"

"Hmm, it's not fun." Da Bao turned to Liu Nian and said, "Mom, I don't want to go to elementary school!"

That's right, that's what Liu Nian thought too. At first, Liu Nian didn't want Da Bao to start elementary school so early, after all, it's a pity for a child to lack a childhood, but seeing Da Bao like this, it seems that nothing is more interesting than going to school.

Secondly, Liu Nian wanted to further provoke Yang's sister-in-law and make her see reality. She should stop comparing everything to Da Bao. Er Bao and San Bao are not compared to her two older brothers. What is she trying to do all day?

Liu Nian nodded and said, "Okay, Mom will contact a primary school for you."

Su Xu put his arm around Liu Nian and said, "Our house is almost finished being renovated. You can send your child to the primary school in the county town, where the quality of education is better."

"Alright, don't be angry." Su Xu kissed Liu Nian, while the three children watched from the side.

Erbao blinked and asked, "Daddy, why did you kiss Mommy?"

Su Xu smiled and patted Erbao's head, saying, "Because I love Mommy."

Erbao nodded in sudden realization and said, "Kissing is for the person you like, right?"

"That's right!" Su Xu happily pinched Erbao's nose. "You little scumbag, remember this: you have to respect the girls you like, and you have to ask for their permission before kissing them!"

Erbao nodded as if he understood, but this left him with a future problem...

——

Su Xu helped Liu Nian contact the county's experimental primary school, but the school was vehemently opposed to it when they heard that a child who was just over three years old wanted to attend.

"A child that young is starting first grade? Are you kidding me? Besides, elementary schools have quotas these days. What if he drags down the average and his ranking drops in the standardized test?"

"Even if they can barely keep up, children this young have trouble taking care of themselves. If something goes wrong, the parents will be relentless, what are we, the school, supposed to do?"

That's true. Liu Nian and Su Xu had thought about this issue before bringing Da Bao to school.

Liu Nian repeatedly assured, "My child has no problem with self-care, really no problem at all."

Da Bao has big, bright eyes that look at people with a sweet and obedient expression. He bowed respectfully to the teacher and said, "Teacher, don't worry, I will take good care of myself and won't cause you any trouble at school."

The grade head immediately softened upon seeing this, looked at the principal, and said, "What do you suggest we do?"

"What can we do? Of course we won't accept them. We're a school, not a kindergarten, to babysit your child!" The principal waved his hand and said, "What if they drag the class down and lower the overall grades?"

Liu Nian quickly said, "You can give my child some questions and test him. If you think he can keep up with the pace, you can take him in, okay?"

The principal then reluctantly said, "Alright."

"Come on, let me take you to the exam!" The head of the grade said, holding Da Bao's hand. "If we answer the questions obediently, the school can decide whether or not to admit you based on the results."

Da Bao nodded and said, "Okay, teacher, I understand."

Liu Nian and Su Xu sat outside, waiting for Da Bao to take the exam. Liu Nian wasn't worried at all.

The principal, however, gave Liu Nian a disapproving look. Did he think the school was his private property? Sending someone clearly too young to attend school, as if they were children to be pampered?

Do they really think their child is a prodigy? Starting first grade at just over three years old, it's hilarious.

As the principal was thinking this, half an hour later, the grade head rushed over with the test papers in a panic and said, "The results are out!"

The principal asked matter-of-factly, "Is it because your grades aren't good?"

"What?!" the grade head exclaimed in surprise, "They're all right!"

Moreover, she discovered that the test paper she gave Da Bao was beyond the scope of the curriculum, but Da Bao actually answered all of them correctly. What else could he be but a child prodigy?

"Really?" The principal took Da Bao's test paper with a skeptical look, and found that it was indeed true; there was not a single flaw in it.

This left him speechless, and he immediately enrolled Da Bao in school.

Upon hearing the news, Mrs. Yang felt a sudden heart attack. What? Da Bao has started first grade!
