Chapter 228 Seeing Through This Scheming Man (2/2)

Heh, it was all an act for her after all. Su Miao watched Zhou Wenhao from afar, her heart pounding with anxiety.

Zhou Wenhao was very handsome, and his demeanor was unique, with a nonchalant air about him. He looked at people with a lazy air, completely different from the way he looked at her.

Su Miao was even angrier. This kid was such a scheming bastard! She hadn't taken his words seriously when her friend mentioned her scheming nature at the dinner party yesterday. It turned out his intentions were obvious to everyone!

It was all an act. He was faking having no friends, faking feeling sorry for her. He had been deceiving her all along.

Su Miao turned and left, vowing never to talk to the child again.

She felt that her kindness had been taken advantage of, and she felt completely deceived.

Su Miao was still at the quiet bar that night, and her friends teased her about why she wasn't a parent and hadn't picked up her child from school.

Su Miao leaned back in the booth, one hand supporting her cheek, the other swirling her wine glass. Her eyes darted around, and she nearly choked on her wine.

Zhou Wenhao was sitting at the bar, where the lights were relatively bright, and he was doing his homework.

He obediently lowered his head, and the beam of light from above shone down like a spotlight, drawing everyone's attention to him.

He lowered his eyes, his slender fingers twirling the pen between them, the pen moving back and forth between his fingers. The veins on the back of his hand seemed to struggle beneath his flesh, forming a bulge.

Su Miao was somewhat stunned by the joints, veins, tendons, and long, straight fingers.

He suddenly turned around, glanced at Su Miao indifferently, and then turned back to look at the textbook in front of him.

"Is this a tutoring center?" The mature woman was still dressed like a mature woman, with long, wavy hair cascading down her back. She wore a short skirt that barely covered her hips and looked at Zhou Wenhao with disbelief. "He's the first person to come to a bar to chase girls and do his homework on the side."

Su Miao shifted her body, her tone sharp, "What do you mean by chasing him? He's just a younger brother!"

Su Miao felt frustrated and angry at her brother's constant lies and dishonesty.

Su Miao was drinking in silence, and the guy seemed to know better than to bother her, only occasionally glancing at her through the crowd.

Su Miao felt extremely uncomfortable, pushed away her wine glass, and said, "I'm going home."

The same thing happened the next day, and Su Miao thought that she couldn't come to this bar anymore.

It's impossible that there isn't even a place to have fun. She only has a few hobbies: bars, martial arts gyms, or speeding on mountain roads.

Upon entering the martial arts school, the young apprentices looked at him with horrified expressions, then immediately stood up straight and bowed formally to Su Miao.

"Master, what brings you here today?" The eldest disciple looked at Su Miao cautiously.

Su Miao's eyes narrowed slightly, as if she was holding back a lot of energy. She strode past the bowing group and said, "We'll spar today."

A cold, hard sentence, just four words, elicited a wail.

"No way—" The disciples and their followers looked at each other with mournful faces, realizing they were about to be tortured.

Su Miao doesn't come to the martial arts gym often, but every time she does, she manages to injure someone severely; she comes there purely to vent her frustrations.

After changing her clothes, Su Miao went out. The black martial arts uniform made her look even more heroic and dashing. She glanced at him and frowned.

Why did she see Zhou Wenhao in the line in front of her?
