Chapter 41 Holding it in is bad for the child

"Wife, what's wrong!" Su Xu immediately picked Liu Nian up and shouted at the people surrounding them, "Get out of the way!"

The embroidery teacher was stunned for a moment. "What... what's going on?"

Wang Xiuzhi snorted, "She's pregnant! She might miscarry!"

In fact, Liu Nian was perfectly fine; she was just pretending. However, news soon spread that Liu Nian's pregnancy was not stable and she could only rest. She then politely declined the embroidery teacher's offer.

She wanted to contribute, but her health wouldn't allow it!

Jin Qiaomei confessed to everything at the police station; she was the one who started the fire. This completely confirmed her crime, and she probably won't be out for several years.

Suddenly, the Jin family was shrouded in gloom. The village was abuzz with gossip; with Jin Qiaomei gone and Liu Xiangxiang in her element, people became increasingly displeased with Liu Nian.

If only Liu Nian would disappear from her sight too!

"She says the pregnancy isn't stable yet, I want to see if she's telling the truth or not!" Liu Xiangxiang gritted her teeth and went straight to her door.

Liu Nian lay on the kang (a heated brick bed), where a table was placed, laden with delicacies that other people could only dream of.

Liu Xiangxiang swallowed hard after just one glance and quickly looked away. Su Xu was spoiling Liu Nian way too much! Did a woman deserve to be spoiled like this?

"Sister-in-law, you've come to see me!" Liu Nian greeted him with a smile, her face flushed and looking very well.

Liu Xiangxiang smiled and said, "You don't look like you're about to have a miscarriage."

"Yeah, that's right." Liu Nian glanced at Liu Xiangxiang's hands and said, "You should worry about your own hands."

Liu Xiangxiang's hands have started to fester and itch terribly every day.

"I'm fine, you don't need to worry about me." Liu Xiangxiang quickly covered herself with her sleeve.

Liu Nian popped a plum into his mouth and leaned lazily against the bedding, saying, "The day Jin Qiaomei destroyed the shed, some things were stolen from the shed, but I didn't let anyone make a fuss about it."

These words startled Liu Xiangxiang, but she remained silent.

"Actually, I just wanted to see who stole it." Liu Nian shifted her posture and said coldly, "That stuff is poisonous. Anyone who touches it will have their hands turn red, swollen, and rotten, eventually requiring amputation. So be careful!"

"It wasn't me! I didn't steal it!" Liu Xiangxiang immediately stood up. "Since you're alright, I'll be leaving now!"

After saying that, she hurriedly rushed out the door.

She didn't believe it! She had fallen for Liu Nian's trick before, only to be given a bellyful of shit soup. Did Liu Nian think she was stupid?

Hmph! She definitely won't fall for it this time!

However, her hand was getting worse; it was oozing pus and had a foul, fishy smell.

A stinging pain shot through her hand as Liu Xiangxiang watched her flesh slowly rot. Was amputation truly the only option?

She still needs to earn work points; otherwise, the Su family wouldn't support her for nothing.

No matter what, she was determined to keep these hands.

Liu Xiangxiang gritted her teeth, cried and shouted, and ran straight to Liu Nian's house.

"Liu Nian! I beg you! I beg you!" Liu Xiangxiang pleaded desperately, "Please save me! I stole the things! I was blinded by greed, please save me!"

"I can't live without hands! Otherwise, I really won't be able to survive!"

A large number of people quickly gathered at Liu Nian's house, and only then did they realize that something had been stolen from the greenhouse that day.

Before Liu Nian could even speak, some people had already started cursing.

"It's you, Liu Xiangxiang! You've really pulled off a clever trick!"

"Not satisfied with just having affairs, you're now planning to turn to petty theft! You and that scoundrel are a match made in heaven! Why doesn't Su Hang divorce you?"

"This kind of person is hopeless!"

Liu Xiangxiang was ashen-faced. She knew her reputation was ruined, but she didn't care. As long as Su Hang still wanted her, she would do anything for him.

"Oh." Liu Nian nodded. "Tell me, should I save you?"
