Chapter 68 You're corrupting children (2/2)

When it was time to eat, Liu Dafa and Liu Qiang arrived with their little nephew, and the whole family started their meal in a lively atmosphere. Fortunately, the old lady was in a hurry to eat and drink, so she didn't cause any trouble.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, but at that moment the door was banged on loudly.

The group looked up together, and Su Xu put down his chopsticks and bowl. "I'll go take a look."

Liu Nian slowly chewed what was in her mouth, while the old lady next to her took advantage of the fact that no one was paying attention and quickly picked up a chicken leg.

"Open the door!" Su Hang's shout came from the doorway.

Was it him? Liu Nian quickly went outside, and the family looked at each other, all frowning.

Su Hang, Su Zhimeng, and some elderly women were standing outside the door, all standing on tiptoe, afraid of missing anything.

Su Xu looked at them warily, "What are you doing here?"

"What are you doing here?" Su Hang peeked inside, then looked at Liu Nian. "Your family is stewing meat, isn't there? It smells really good. You can ignore me, but isn't Zhimeng your brother?"

Su Hang pushed Su Zhimeng forward, "There are no adults in the family anymore. You and I are both Zhimeng's older brothers. Aren't you going to do anything about this younger brother?"

"No matter what, he's a member of the Su family! He has Su family blood!" Su Hang shouted righteously, "You eat and drink here every day, while your brother starves?"

Su Zhimeng immediately started throwing a tantrum, "I want to eat meat! Waaah! You won't let me eat! Waaah, I'm so hungry!"

With a round, chubby body, a dark red face, and two big snotty noses, Su Zhimeng raised his voice again, "It's all because my sister-in-law won't let you give me meat! I know!"

To be criticized like this by a child must mean that an adult instigated it.

If you take a child's words to heart, then it's the adults' fault, Liu Nian knows that very well.

However, these words undoubtedly drew all attention to Liu Nian, and the onlookers all turned to look at her.

"Is it because Su Xu wants to take care of Su Zhimeng, but Liu Nian won't allow it?" someone speculated. "Liu Nian is too heartless, after all, Su Zhimeng and Su Xu have the same father."

"Their family is so wealthy, they clearly don't lack anything. Give them some cheap things and Su Zhimeng can live on. How can they not have any compassion? They're all blood relatives!"

“Children don’t lie, what they said must be true. The child is pitiful, no one cares about him.”

They wanted to use public opinion to force her to back down, but Liu Nian just smiled and told someone to go back inside and get a chicken leg.

A fragrant, glistening chicken leg, stewed until it was juicy and oily, was placed in front of Su Zhimeng. Su Zhimeng swallowed hard and reached out to snatch it.

With a quick flick of her wrist, Liu Nian, holding the chicken leg, said with a smile—

"Zhimeng, who said your sister-in-law doesn't care about you? Tell your sister-in-law, and she'll give you meat to eat."

Before Su Hang could even cover his mouth, Su Zhimeng blurted out, "My older brother said it! He said that as long as I speak, I'll get meat to eat!"

Su Zhimeng was still smug, it seemed that his older brother was right. As soon as he said that, that bitch Liu Nian immediately brought her a chicken leg!

"I never said anything like that." Liu Nian stuffed the chicken leg into her mouth, chewed it, and said, "Aren't you setting a bad example for children?"

Su Zhimeng was dumbfounded. His flesh! How similar this scene was... Su Zhimeng belatedly realized that he had been tricked by Liu Nian in the same way before.

That's despicable! She really is a bitch! No wonder her mother cursed her like that!

"Why teach children like this?"

"Besides Su Xu, who else in this family is a good person!"

The condemning gazes of the crowd made Su Hang so embarrassed that he couldn't lift his head.

"My sister has had the worst luck imaginable!" Zhang Suzhen said, trying to calm herself down. "She's been cheated by her own father-in-law and her mother-in-law (who's not really her mother-in-law), and now she has to help them raise their child. Why should she?"

Su Xu glanced at Su Hang and said, "We separated a long time ago. We agreed that we would each live our own lives. So it's not my place to interfere."

“Besides, I have no responsibility to raise the child of the person who killed my mother.” Su Xu’s eyes were deep and his tone was cold. “You are his biological older brother, so please take good care of him.”

Su Xu refused decisively, slamming the door shut.

But to everyone's surprise, the old lady, who had been silent all along, suddenly changed her mind.

"How could you be so heartless?" the old lady asked, running out of the room.
