Chapter 92 The First Victim (1/2)

Chapter 92 The First Victim

"Auntie, Auntie!" Liu Nian quickly interrupted. She walked over with her pregnant belly and couldn't bear to look at Xiuxiu's clenched teeth.

"Oh, Nian, girl." Liu Chuanfang glanced at Liu Nian, then looked at Xiuxiu, "No, what's wrong with you?"

She started complaining to Xiuxiu, "Would your aunt harm you? If you don't want to date him anymore, just say so! Why are you so upset? Who would dare to date you in the future? Who wouldn't be afraid of getting someone killed in the process?"

"Don't worry, even if my daughter can't get married again, I won't beg you for help!" Zhou Hongyi took a step forward and stood in front of Xiuxiu.

But she didn't see that Xiuxiu, lying on her side, had tears streaming down her face. She was crying silently, her hands tightly gripping the sheets, but she didn't dare to utter a sound.

She simply pulled the blanket up and covered her head.

Liu Nian could no longer bear it and shouted sharply, "Can you two stop arguing for a moment?"

She glared at the two of them angrily, "Xiuxiu needs to rest now, what are you two arguing about here for?"

"It's not that I want to make a scene." Liu Chuanfang clapped her hands to express her helplessness. "What does this have to do with me? I just wanted to visit my niece today, and my sister-in-law talks to me like this! Looks like I can't go back to my parents' home anymore!"

Liu Chuanfang snorted softly, turned her back, and then glared at Zhou Hongyi with a sidelong glance.

Zhou Hongyi's eyes were red, her chest heaving violently. Finally, she plopped down on the edge of the bed and wiped her eyes. She felt sorry for her daughter and didn't want to argue in front of her anymore.

"Auntie, come here." Liu Nian waved to Liu Chuanfang and walked out of the ward.

"What do you want?" Liu Chuanfang muttered as she walked out of the ward. "I'm quite busy every day, I only came here in my spare time, and my second sister-in-law is still giving me trouble!"

"Alright," Liu Nian said impatiently, "Stop nagging."

Liu Nian disliked her aunt since childhood; she was an unreasonable and fierce person.

The Liu family tradition is to spoil their daughters, and Liu Chuanfang was also extremely spoiled.

Liu Chuanfang opened her mouth speechlessly, wanting to scold her niece for daring to speak to her aunt like that, but then she thought that Liu Nian was now quite capable and might have to come to her for help in the future.

Her expression softened, and she asked, "What do you want?"

Liu Nian said, "Tell me clearly what the name of the man you introduced to Xiuxiu is, and where he's from."

"What's wrong?" Liu Chuanfang perked up immediately. "You're not going to go and fight that guy, are you?"

"Or maybe he did something to Xiuxiu?" Liu Chuanfang's eyes darted around. "We can't let ourselves get the short end of the stick!"

This is something Liu Chuanfang definitely can't know about. Otherwise, before anything even happens, she'll spread the word to the whole world. That aunt of hers is capable of anything.

"I was just asking. If something happened, shouldn't I ask around?" Liu Nian glanced at Liu Chuanfang from head to toe. "Don't make a scene in the ward. Xiuxiu is feeling bad."

"I'm only doing this for her own good," Liu Chuanfang muttered softly, rubbing her hands together. After a moment of thought, she added, "If that man really does something to betray Xiuxiu, I won't let him get away with it!"

Her words brought Liu Nian a lot of comfort; it was something an aunt should say.

"Don't talk nonsense, it might be something serious." Liu Nian reminded him again, still worried. "I'm just asking around, so you don't end up spreading rumors."

Liu Chuanfang clicked his tongue, put his hands in his pockets, and said, "Don't I understand this little thing?"

Liu Chuanfang told Liu Nian all the information about the man.
