Chapter 19 Zhou Yuanqing

The stall is just a few minutes away from the management bureau.

When the two arrived, the owner was tidying up a shop of about fifty square meters. The inside and outside were filled with messy materials, which was dazzling to look at. Moreover, apart from this shop, more than a dozen other shops in the surrounding area were closed, and it seemed that they had not been rented out yet.

Su Yan could tell at a glance that this used to be a street full of shops, but it had declined now.

"Boss Zhou, I've brought you some business. Are you going to close the shop?" the proprietress joked.

Upon hearing the sound, Boss Zhou stopped what he was doing and turned around.

Su Yan raised an eyebrow. This week's boss is quite handsome.

Tall and imposing, with a stern face and sharply defined features, his powerful muscles were faintly visible even through his white shirt. His black trousers made his legs appear even longer and stronger, giving him a typical broad-shouldered, narrow-waisted physique and a rugged, tough-guy image.

Su Yan wondered what kind of luck she had today? She suddenly saw two extremely handsome men.

However, the Boss Zhou in front of him and the man next to Tang Li were both similar and different.

What they have in common is that they both seem to have a cold and taciturn personality. However, unlike Zhou, who is a rough and rugged type, the other man is a combination of nobility and coldness. Either of them would be very attractive on their own.

Of course, the most similar thing about them is their figures, well... they're both great!

Su Yan suddenly wondered if she was hungry... otherwise why would she want to order all sorts of random things whenever she saw a handsome man?

Boss Zhou's gaze lingered on Su Yan for a few seconds before he spoke, "What do you want to do?"

His voice is very pleasant, deep and magnetic, it makes your ears tingle.

Su Yan silently pulled herself out of her thoughts, stepped forward, politely extended her hand, and gave a standard smile: "Hello, Mr. Zhou, my name is Su Yan."

The man looked at the long, slender hand in front of him, seemed to consider it for a moment before extending his own hand, "Zhou Yuanqing."

He only touched it lightly before letting go.

Su Yan didn't care about these formalities and instead said, "Boss Zhou, the stall I want to set up might be a bit difficult. It has to be built according to the blueprints I drew. Is that alright?"

Zhou Yuanqing was a little surprised to hear this. "Can I see the blueprints?"

"I haven't drawn it yet." Su Yan smiled shyly. "Do you have paper and pen here? I can draw it on the spot, it'll be quick and won't take long."

Zhou Yuanqing didn't say anything, turned around and went into the shop.

Seeing this, the proprietress said to Su Yan, "Yan girl, can you manage by yourself? It's lunchtime, I have to go back to the stall to help."

"Sure, thank you for your help today, Auntie. I'll treat you and Uncle to a meal after I open my stall. Don't be shy then."

The proprietress smiled and said, "Alright, I won't stand on ceremony with you. Oh, by the way, you can just call me Uncle Niu and Aunt Niu from now on, don't be so formal."

Aunt Niu was extremely satisfied with Su Yan. She thought the girl was polite, knew how to make friends, and most importantly, her words always made people happy.

"Okay, Aunt Niu."

After Aunt Niu walked away, Zhou Yuanqing came out from inside with paper and pen. He handed them to her, saying, "Draw something."

Su Yan took it and squatted down on the stool to start drawing.

The stall she wanted was one where she could cook, set up, and push things around.

Actually, it was available at that time, but it didn't have as many features as she wanted.

Zhou Yuanqing walked to the side and leaned against the door. He took out a cigarette from his pocket, lit it, and smoked quietly, his peripheral vision occasionally drifting towards the squatting girl.

About ten minutes later, Su Yanxiu revised it several times before finally drawing a decent one. She picked up the drawing, looked at it, and then smiled with satisfaction. She stood up and said, "Boss Zhou, take a look..."

She was halfway to her feet when she fell to the side and onto the ground, completely unable to support herself.

The sound of "bang" was painful to hear.

Seeing this, Zhou Yuanqing immediately strode forward and squatted down beside her. Seeing her scrunched up and pinching her leg, he frowned and asked, "What's wrong?"

Su Yan looked up and met the man's serious gaze. Her face turned bright red, and she forced herself to speak, "My legs are numb. Let me rest for a while."

Damn it!!! This is so embarrassing!!!

If there were a hole in the ground, Su Yan would want to jump in and bury herself!

Zhou Yuanqing was taken aback, staring at her increasingly embarrassed face, a smile flashing quickly in his eyes, "Hmm, take a break."

After saying that, he reached for a stool and placed it behind her, then stood up to create some distance between them.

"Wait a minute!" Su Yan propped herself up on the stool with her hands and handed over the paper in her hand. "Take a look at the drawings I made. Can it be made?"

Zhou Yuanqing took it and began to read it carefully.

She explained calmly, "My drawing skills aren't very good, and I can't draw some of the more detailed things. I can only trouble Mr. Zhou to improve them."

Actually, she only drew a rough sketch of the stall; she didn't know anything about the materials and tools to use.

Zhou Yuanqing stared at it for a while, his brows furrowed tightly.

Su Yan asked softly, "Is it impossible to do it?"

“It can be done.” Zhou Yuanqing’s gaze shifted from the blueprints to her as he explained, “It’s just a bit troublesome, and we need to use good materials to keep this business afloat, so it won’t be cheap.”

How much do you want?

Zhou Yuanqing's eyes flickered slightly, and he hesitated before asking, "Four hundred?"

"Four hundred?" Su Yan looked at him in surprise.

Thinking she thought it was too expensive, Zhou Yuanqing hesitated for a moment and then said, "Then... three hundred?"

Su Yan: ? ? ?

"No, Mr. Zhou, how much is it exactly?" she asked, both amused and exasperated. "If you don't know the price of the materials, you can calculate it and tell me, or I can give you a deposit of one hundred yuan first, and then pay the balance after it's finished. Please don't do a losing business."

You call him Boss Zhou Yuanqing, how can you be so muddle-headed in business?

"Mm." Zhou Yuanqing responded calmly, but Su Yan didn't see that his ears were completely red!

Su Yan took out ten ten-yuan bills from her pocket and handed them over. "This is the deposit. How long will it take to make?"

Zhou Yuanqing considered it for a moment, then said, "Come pick it up on the 16th."

Today is the 14th, and the 16th is two days from now, so we can set up our stall on the third day!

Su Yan: "Okay, I'll come over on the morning of the 16th. Thank you, Boss Zhou. I'll be going now."

Only after her figure disappeared from the road did Zhou Yuanqing withdraw his gaze, still clutching the ten ten-yuan bills she had given him.

He didn't know why he quoted a lower price, nor did he know why he was nervous when talking to her.

This unusual emotion was unprecedented.

Zhou Yuanqing was a little confused about his own thoughts.

...

Meanwhile, in Sujia Village.

Old Mrs. Su rushed into the house in a hurry. When she saw her husband on the kang (a heated brick bed), she said angrily, "Old man, Yaozu's wife just said that Su Yan found a wild boar weighing almost 500 jin (250 kg) and handed it all over to Lijiaping. That little bitch didn't even come back to tell us? Her surname is Su, doesn't she know that this is the place where she was born and raised?"
