Since Su Yan had already said that, Director Zhong could only secretly lament the loss.
If Su Yan hadn't become an apprentice of Master Jue, he would have snatched her away and personally taught her.
"Alright, I won't force you. If you have any questions about your studies, just come to me." Director Zhong stood up and said, "I'm going to the principal's office. You stay here for a while; someone wants to see you."
Upon hearing this, Su Yan was taken aback. "Who's looking for me, Director?"
You'll find out in a moment.
After Director Zhong finished speaking, he went out and closed the door behind him.
"Thump—!"
Su Yan's eyelids twitched.
For some reason, she had a strange feeling in her heart.
About ten minutes later.
The door was finally pushed open.
Su Yan turned around reflexively and saw the person standing at the door. She froze on the spot, and the hand holding the certificate of honor tightened involuntarily.
Jiang Jingxing, dressed in a military green uniform, stood at the door, slightly out of breath, his hand on the doorknob, staring at her.
Seeing the struggle and resistance flash in her eyes, his heart ached as if he were drowning and being pricked by needles, followed by frustration and anger.
How could she possibly resist him?!
Jiang Jingxing calmed himself down, walked in, and closed the door.
Su Yan subconsciously took a step back, but there was nowhere to retreat behind her. She bumped into the corner of the table, wincing in pain and letting out a cry.
The man's heart leaped into his throat. Without thinking twice, he rushed forward and pulled her into his arms, his voice filled with obvious anxiety, "Are you alright? Did you hurt yourself? Let me see."
"No!" Su Yan grabbed his hand as he tried to lift his shirt, blushing as she pushed him back, and said irritably, "This is the office, what do you think you're doing?"
Jiang Jingxing didn't understand her meaning for a moment, and said honestly, "Can't I see where you bumped into something? Aren't you my wife?"
"Get lost! Who's your wife? Where's the marriage certificate?"
Su Yan's face turned as red as a big apple, whether from embarrassment or anger, it was hard to tell.
Jiang Jingxing grabbed her small hand that was hitting him, kissed it, and then said, "If you're willing, I'll file for marriage right now. Are you willing?"
Su Yan's mind went blank at his words. She looked up and met his burning, sincere eyes. Knowing he wasn't joking, she panicked and pushed him away forcefully. "I don't want to! When did I say I wanted to marry you?"
She was as weak as a cat; she couldn't push him at all.
Hearing her words, Jiang Jingxing's heart tightened, and he said in a serious tone, "If you won't marry me, then who do you want to marry?"
Su Yan took a deep breath and asked in return, "Why do I have to marry someone? Can't I not marry?"
"No! You must marry me."
He seemed to be angered by her words, gripping her wrist tightly, his deep eyes filled with a hint of anger, and said, word by word, "Tomorrow, I will submit the marriage application tomorrow. You are an adult now, you can get married, okay, Ayan?"
His warm breath sprayed on her face, making her heart flutter.
Su Yan swallowed hard, turned her face away, and refused, "No."
"Why? Have you fallen for someone else?"
"no."
"Then why don't you marry me?"
"Ayan, tell me why."
The man pressed closer and closer, and her psychological defenses gradually crumbled.
She bit her lip, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Ayan, if you don't tell me, you'll have to sign the marriage certificate tomorrow! You'll only ever be my wife, Jiang Jingxing's wife!"
"I can't have children!" Su Yan roared, tears streaming down her face.
Tears welled in her eyes as she looked at him, clenching her fists and pounding her fists against his chest. "Don't you know? Why are you forcing me like this... sob sob sob..."
Jiang Jingxing felt extremely heartbroken seeing her in such a state of collapse.
He held her tightly in his arms, kissed the top of her head, and his tears soaked into her hair. His voice was hoarse as he said, "I'm sorry, Yan, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have pressured you. I was so scared, scared that you would leave me. I can't lose you."
Su Yan lay on his chest and cried for a long time until she was exhausted and stopped.
The two embraced for a long time, and their emotions gradually calmed down.
"Jiang Jingxing, do you really not care?" Her voice was hoarse with sadness.
Jiang Jingxing didn't hesitate for a moment, "I don't care. Ayan, all I care about is you. Without you, nothing else matters. If you hadn't appeared, I wouldn't have married someone else for the sake of family responsibilities. That would be irresponsible to the other person, and I don't want to spend my life with someone I don't love."
You don't need to think too much. No one can stop us from being together. Grandpa knows everything, and he approves of us being together. So, don't let this affect our relationship in the future, promise me, okay?
A bitter smile appeared on Su Yan's lips. "Don't you regret not having children?"
"No regrets, having you is enough for me."
"If one day you regret your decision today, then you..."
"No." Jiang Jingxing hugged her even tighter, interrupting her, "I will never regret this in my life, Ayan. Believe me, as long as I have you, that's enough. Don't resist me anymore, okay?"
A hint of struggle flashed in Su Yan's eyes.
After a long silence, she finally said, "Okay."
Jiang Jingxing breathed a sigh of relief, looked down at her tear-streaked face, and said with heartache, "Don't cry, it will break my heart if you keep crying."
Su Yan wasn't the type to stay put after getting a definite answer. She looked up and said, "Weren't you supposed to be out tomorrow? Why are you here today?"
"I couldn't wait after finishing my work, so I asked for leave under the pretext of going out to buy some groceries to come see you. Tomorrow is still my normal day off, but I have to go back to my unit tonight. I'll pick you up tomorrow morning, and then we'll go to the restaurant together, okay?"
She thought for a moment, "Okay, but my roommate is going too."
"It's okay, I drove out. Perfect timing, you're going to formally introduce me to your roommates as your boyfriend tomorrow, right?"
Su Yan glared at him. "They already knew about you."
"Knowing and seeing are still different."
"All right."
She was defeated by the man's stubbornness.
Jiang Jingxing smiled contentedly. "Ayan, when do you want to get married?"
Su Yan's heart skipped a beat, and she looked at him suspiciously, "Why are you suddenly asking this? Do you really want to file for marriage tomorrow?"
"Of course I want to, but I have to respect your opinion." Jiang Jingxing said helplessly, "But four years is too long, what if I can't wait?"
"You can't wait, so you won't marry me?"
"I can't wait any longer, so I'll have to keep nagging my girlfriend to give me a chance to become a full-fledged employee sooner."
Seeing that he didn't seem to be joking, Su Yan thought for a moment before replying, "Let's wait until I'm... 20 years old, then we'll get engaged."
By the time she turned 20, everything should have been on track for her.
