Upon learning that Wennai no longer needed treatment, Lulis immediately asked, "Miss, now that you don't need treatment, shouldn't we go back to M Country and start working?"
Winnai never expected this outcome.
Considering that Su Yan was about to start school, she realized that staying would be a waste of time.
"Then buy your plane ticket for tomorrow. We'll go back to the courtyard house first to say goodbye to everyone."
Rulis nodded, as if she had just thought of something.
We arrived at the courtyard house at 10 a.m.
Su Yan packed her luggage as usual.
She had to take two large suitcases to Guangzhou, one of which was a gift for her roommates.
"Ayan, are you home?"
Wenna's voice came from the doorway.
Su Yan immediately stopped what she was doing and walked out, saying, "I'm at home. Why did you come back from the hospital?"
Wen Nai jogged across the courtyard, slowing down only when she saw her figure, and said, "If I don't need treatment anymore, what am I still doing in the hospital? I want to tell you something."
Her face showed a look of reluctance and inner conflict.
Su Yan immediately guessed what she was going to say and said first, "You're going back to the US, right? It's okay, we can keep in touch by phone from now on. I'll come to the US to see you when I have time, or you can come to see me."
She could actually guess this.
The Wen family is large and powerful, and Wen Nai cannot neglect the family business just because he wants to be with her.
Although they are not from this era, the bodies they inhabit bear their own responsibilities, which they must take on for the original owners.
Having taken the right to use someone else's body, it's only right that we bear these responsibilities.
Wen Nai paused for a moment, then smiled and said, "I thought you would let me stay and keep you company longer."
"Of course I want you to stay with me, but if I do that, I'll be too selfish." Su Yan took her hand. "I need you, but your parents need you even more. Your going back to the US doesn't mean our friendship will fade. Nana, I'm not the kind of person who doesn't know my limits."
Wen Nai smiled and said, "You've always been just as clear-headed as you are in my dream."
Su Yan blinked. "I'm really looking forward to the day you regain your memories. Okay, when are you planning to leave?"
“You’re leaving tomorrow, so I’ll leave tomorrow too,” Wen Nai said. “There’s no point in me staying here if you’re not here.”
"Okay, then go to your room and pack your luggage. I'll cook dinner for you tonight."
Wenna responded and then walked into the room.
Su Yan stared at her back for a few seconds, and when she looked away, she found that Rulis was looking at her with a complicated expression.
She raised an eyebrow and asked curiously, "Lourdes, why are you looking at me like that?"
Lulis took a few steps forward and said, "I was worried that you might have brainwashed the young lady and made her stay in Country A for six months before returning to Country M."
Hearing this, Su Yan found it amusing. "What did I do to give you such a misconception? Why would you think that?"
Rulis's tone was complicated, "I was being narrow-minded. You genuinely care about the young lady."
Su Yan smiled without saying a word.
"Also, I've been thinking about what you said to me last time, and I think you made a lot of sense. Thank you for reminding me. From now on, I will only be loyal to Miss." Rulis looked at her sincerely.
Su Yan paused for a few seconds, then smiled, "I'm very happy that you think that way. You are Wen Nai's right-hand woman, and you'll have to help her with more things in the future."
"Of course." Lulis thought for a moment, then asked cautiously, "So, will we still be friends?"
"We've always been friends, haven't we?"
Luris smiled and nodded, saying, "Yes, we've always been friends."
Su Yan didn't say anything more and told her to go and pack her clothes.
After dinner, Wen Nai called her parents to tell them about her return to China the next day.
There are only two flights to country M: one at 9 a.m. and one at 10 p.m.
Luris bought the 9 a.m. order.
Su Yan's train arrives in Guangzhou at 3:30 pm and 4 am the next day, so she's not in a hurry and has plenty of time to take Wen Nai and the other person to the airport.
While Wen Nai was on the phone, she told her family and then took dinner to the military hospital to find Jiang Jingxing.
She brought two portions, one for Zhong Jinghe.
She first delivered the food to Zhong Jinghe and chatted with her for more than ten minutes before going up to the third floor to find Jiang Jingxing.
...
Third floor.
The nurse is changing Jiang Jingxing's dressing right now.
Su Yan stood at the door without rushing in.
Jiang Jingxing closed his eyes and clenched his teeth, so he didn't see her.
Five minutes later, the dressing was changed.
He opened his eyes and was met with the smiling face of the girl at the door.
Startled for a moment, he quickly sat up and asked, "Why didn't you come in? How long have you been here?"
"Just arrived, not long ago." Su Yan walked in carrying a lunchbox. "I brought you food. Have you eaten yet?"
Without even thinking, Jiang Jingxing replied, "I didn't eat."
Actually, he has already eaten. The army's dinner was delivered at 5 o'clock, and someone came to collect the meal boxes at 7 o'clock. It's already 7:30 now.
Su Yan had been at the military hospital for a while, so how could she not know when meals were served?
She asked him that on purpose.
"I made you a medicinal soup, as well as your favorite braised mutton and stir-fried eggs with chives. You can eat first."
She knew he had already eaten, so she didn't bring much food.
Jiang Jingxing looked up at her sly smile and immediately guessed that she was playing a trick on him.
They both understood each other without saying a word.
She didn't speak to him while he was eating.
After he finished eating, she said, "My train to Guangzhou is tomorrow afternoon. I need to go there two days in advance to inspect the work. I came tonight to say goodbye."
I don't know when we'll meet again.
It might be during her summer vacation, or a short break.
She guessed it was summer vacation, since she probably wouldn't be going back to Beijing for her short break.
Unless he has time to come see her.
However, his leg may not be fully recovered even by the summer vacation.
What she could think of, Jiang Jingxing couldn't possibly not have thought of.
The joy instantly cooled down.
After a long silence, he forced a smile and said, "Then take good care of yourself in Guangzhou, and come back to visit me when you have time."
Su Yan replied, "I will."
They haven't reconciled yet; at most, they're just friends, so it's normal for them not to see each other for a long time.
But they both had feelings for each other, so how could they not miss each other?
Su Yan didn't rush home and stayed with him until ten o'clock.
Until Su Yu suddenly appeared at the ward door and urged her to go home.
Su Yan's eyes widened. "Brother, what are you doing here?"
Su Yu said irritably, "You're leaving tomorrow, so as your older brother, I had to see you off. But when I got home, I heard from Mom that you were at the hospital."
