Chapter 193 Liu Qing Blocks the Door

The convoy of more than a dozen cars, though led by only a Crown, was enough to shock passersby in those days.

The two sides are not too far apart, and there is plenty of time.

The drivers deliberately slowed down, circling half of the county before heading towards Liu Ye's house.

The most lavish and grand wedding in Shang County since the founding of the People's Republic of China has sparked discussion among most of the county's residents.

The convoy drove up to Liu Ye's house.

Xiao Weiguo was the first to jump out of the car, and the people in the cars behind him also jumped out one by one after the convoy stopped.

"Walk."

Xiao Weiguo looked up at the window on the third floor and saw Liu Qing peeking down.

A group of people followed Xiao Weiguo and rushed up to the third floor.

Liu Qing had already seen Xiao Weiguo arrive from upstairs. She turned around and, along with a few friends, blocked the entrance.

Xiao Weiguo was wearing a sharp blue suit with a red flower pinned to his chest that read "Groom".

Holding a bouquet of flowers in one hand and with the other hand in his pocket, he swaggered up to the third floor.

Liu Qing opened the door a crack and peeked out from behind it.

Seeing Xiao Weiguo smugly showing off, he slammed the door shut.

Xiao Weiguo tried to push the door open, but was immediately met with a closed door.

Oh my god, is this kid going to take this opportunity to get revenge?

He understood perfectly well that Liu Qing was behind this.

Liu Qing stood behind the door with his arms crossed, his shoulders trembling with smug satisfaction. "Xiao Erliuzi, you've finally met your match, hahaha."

Liu Qing felt like laughing out loud.

Xiao Weiguo looked around anxiously, but no one came forward to help him knock on the door. Even Xiao Jian and Gao Hu shrank back. This was a matter the groom had to handle himself. Who told you to bully your brother-in-law all the time? Now you're getting your comeuppance.

Damn it, what happened to being best friends forever?

Helpless, Xiao Weiguo could only kick the door frame with his foot.

"Liu Qing, open the door."

Upon hearing him speak, Liu Qing not only didn't open the door, but instead took two steps back. She completely ignored him.

It's always the older people who have the best ideas.

Seeing this, Xiao Baojun quickly nudged Xiao Weiguo in the lower back.

"Red envelope, red envelope."

For Chairman Xiao, anything that can be solved with money is no problem.

With a wave of his hand, Jiao Bai pulled out a thick red envelope and handed it to him.

Xiao Weiguo took it and slammed it against his hand a few times.

"Kid, if you want a red envelope, then open the door."

Sure enough, as soon as he finished speaking, the door in front of him was locked.

The moment Xiao Weiguo handed over the red envelope, it was as if some animal inside had bitten it; in the blink of an eye, his hand was empty. The door slammed shut again.

Liu Qing chuckled and took out the money from the red envelope, roughly counting it. There was about a thousand yuan.

Wow, that's really generous. Does having money make you so arrogant?

In this day and age, the "opening red envelope" (a traditional Chinese gift of money given to children) is usually only ten or eight yuan, just enough to appease a child.

Xiao Weiguo would give away thousands of dollars at a time, which was incredibly generous.

However, even so, it still couldn't touch Liu Qing's long-worn and fragile heart.

"Too little, not enough."

Through the gate, Liu Qing put away the red envelope and shouted.

Xiao Weiguo glared at him sideways for a long time, but couldn't do anything about it. Suddenly, he shouted loudly.

"Burned white, come on."

Upon hearing this name, Liu Qing subconsciously took a few steps back.

Jiao Bai's name was too lethal. But he quickly realized that Jiao Bai couldn't very well tear the door down, could he?

However, he soon felt a pain in his ear and was pulled up from behind.

"Ouch, that hurts! Who is it?"

Turning his head, he saw Xiao Shanshan.

Oh my god, there's a traitor among us. Liu Qing was on the verge of tears.

Having finally seized the opportunity, they forgot that Xiao Weiguo's men were still at home.

"You delayed your sister's wedding, we'll skin you alive!"

Xiao Shanshan kicked him aside and went up to open the door.

Seeing that it was his younger sister who opened the door, Xiao Weiguo couldn't help but feel smug again.

Where is Liu Qing?

He led his men into the living room, turning his head left and right to search for Liu Qing's whereabouts.

Liu Qing wasn't stupid; without the protection of the main gate, she would have dashed into her parents' room long ago.

Xiao Weiguo wanted to go in and teach him a lesson, but with his father-in-law and mother-in-law inside, he was too embarrassed to do it.

"Hehe, Dad, Mom, you're here. I heard Liu Qing found a girlfriend at school."

Xiao Weiguo brought out the same words he used to fool the school gatekeeper.

Liu Qing was completely dumbfounded.

All I did was extort a little money from you to open the shop. This is my special privilege today, okay? How dare you make baseless accusations like this?

Turning around, he saw Liu Erzhu's fierce gaze fixed on him, threatening to explode at any moment.

"Dad, it's a joyous occasion, don't get angry. We'll talk about it after we leave."

Xiao Weiguo added fuel to the fire with a word of advice, then glanced triumphantly at Liu Qing before turning and leading his men into the bride's room.

Liu Qing wanted to cry but had no tears.

Is there really such a brother-in-law? A scoundrel, just as expected.

Liu Ye was already dressed in her finest attire, a pure white wedding dress that accentuated her snow-white skin, making her appear solemn and sacred, like a beautiful goddess, sitting quietly on the bed, awaiting the arrival of love.

The bridesmaids were all acquaintances of Xiao Weiguo, especially his own younger sister, so no one came up to make things difficult for him.

Xiao Weiguo was certainly not stingy. He gave each person another red envelope containing a thousand yuan.
