Chapter 276 Debt Collection

Xiao Weiguo stood downstairs for a while, a smile appearing on his lips.

He went to the reception room, picked up the phone, and dialed a number.

It was the phone number of the police station in Zhang Damao's hometown, a small town. Liu Changhe was still there, and there were many people involved in the case, so he wouldn't be able to come back anytime soon.

Upon finding Liu Changhe, Xiao Weiguo told him over the phone that the real mastermind behind the case, the people instructing him, were now all at Panlong Company. He asked him how to handle it.

Liu Changhe told Xiao Weiguo seriously over the phone.

“I’ll call the county bureau right now. Our team will be there in twenty minutes. Until then, you must hold them off and prevent them from leaving.”

"Alright, don't worry."

Xiao Weiguo grinned and hung up the phone.

He asked Jiao Bai to take Zhang Damao and his parents to his top-floor office, where there was a restroom. He told them to go up and wash up first, and then he would take them out for a meal later.

After all, we'd been hungry for so long and hadn't eaten properly on the way.

Jiao Bai agreed and led Zhang Damao and his family of three onto the elevator.

Xiao Weiguo checked the time, put his hands in his pockets, and strolled to the back of the crowd to watch the excitement.

The two sides are locked in a standoff, neither willing to back down, and the noise is growing increasingly chaotic.

The Panlong Group's goal was to prevent Bai Huaqing from leaving; they simply needed to block the way and deny them any opportunity.

Bai Huaqing's men, on the other hand, were eager to escape this place of trouble as soon as possible and return to the port city before anything else happened, so that they could be safe and sound.

Unfortunately, there were simply too many people from the Panlong Group, and the dozen or so of them were trapped in the lobby of the Panlong Hotel, unable to even leave the building.

Bai Huaqing's face had turned deathly pale with anger.

Throughout his life, he has always been the one who is unreasonable and bullies others, but today he has run into a group of truly unreasonable people.

No matter what they said, the person remained silent, blocking the door and refusing to leave. They tried everything—hitting, cursing—but couldn't get away.

Just as Bai Huaqing was at his wit's end, the staff at the guesthouse also gathered together and joined in to cause trouble.

Strictly speaking, they came to collect a debt.

They waved thick ledgers, angrily cursing Bai Huaqing and his gang for being shameless, taking advantage of them without paying them.

Bai Huaqing stayed here for less than ten days, and he wrote out checks worth tens of millions.

Originally, I thought that if I could get Zhang Damao for free, it would be worth spending ten or twenty million, or even cheaper than I expected.

But to my surprise, I still haven't managed to get my hands on Zhang Damao. Instead, I've gotten myself into a lot of trouble.

When you calculate it this way, the money is wasted, so Bai Huaqing has no intention of paying those inexplicable service fees.

Xiao Weiguo stood at the back of the crowd and watched silently for a long time.

I glanced at my watch and figured it was about time. So I pushed through the crowd and went inside.

"Make way, make way, brothers, make way, I'll get through."

The people in the company recognized him, and they all made way for him, letting him in.

He had just squeezed out of the crowd when Bai Huaqing recognized him at a glance.

"Xiao Weiguo, you bastard, what do you want? Tell your men to get out of the way, we want to go back."

Having been entangled with these employees, Bai Huaqing was finally meeting the person in charge, and he even felt a little excited.

Ordinary people may not know the true extent of things, but surely you, Xiao Weiguo, can't be ignorant of the true extent of things either?

He had done this many times before, restricting personal freedom, but he knew it was illegal. As the CEO of a company, Xiao Weiguo couldn't afford to be criticized for this.

After all, it represents the company's image.

Besides these, the Bai brothers are not to be trifled with. If Panlong Group wants to develop in the entertainment industry, it absolutely cannot bypass the Bai family, this towering tree.

Others might not understand, but how could Xiao Weiguo not understand? Therefore, he was certain that Xiao Weiguo wouldn't dare to offend him too much.

Sure enough, after he finished cursing, Xiao Weiguo was not angry, but came up to him with a smile.

"Boss Bai, why are you so angry? Did your staff not treat you well, which made you upset?"

"Was the hospitality inadequate?"

Bai Huaqing wanted to curse as soon as he heard those words.

What more could you ask for to be considered a truly thorough hospitality? Those waiters are by your side 24/7, they even dare to rush in and bring you toilet paper when you're taking a dump.

They would also help them catch snakes and mice from time to time.

I almost had to hold him while he peed.

"Xiao Weiguo, don't give me that crap. You're just trying to swindle me out of my money, aren't you? I'm not paying you, what can you do about it? I didn't sign anything, so those accounts have no legal effect. Go ahead and come to Hong Kong and get someone to collect the debt!"

Bai Huaqing wasn't stupid; he knew that the way to deal with a scoundrel like Xiao Weiguo was to be even more scoundrel than him.

He was very familiar with this kind of thing; he had used all sorts of shameless methods since he was a child.

So he spoke with a smug look on his face.

Xiao Weiguo didn't get angry with him and just kept smiling at him.

Finally, Bai Huaqing couldn't hold back and asked.

"Tell me, what can you do to me?"

Xiao Weiguo turned around and looked behind him. Dozens of security guards had blocked the entrance again.

"I can't do anything with you. I'm just blocking your way and won't let you leave. What can you do about it?"

Xiao Weiguo spoke casually, found a chair to sit on, and stared at Bai Huaqing with ill intent.

"I......"

Bai Huaqing felt a chill run down his spine under his gaze. He couldn't figure out what he was up to.
