Aziz's face was ashen, and his eyes, as cold as stars, were fixed on the big man who had spoken, as if he wanted to devour him alive.
Time passed second by second, but Azis remained silent, his cold gaze fixed on the big man, leaving him no way to escape.
The burly man trembled under Aziz's gaze, his body hunched over, large beads of sweat rolling down his forehead like broken strings of pearls.
Despite it being the sweltering summer day, the big man felt as if he had fallen into an ice cellar, with a chill running from the soles of his feet straight up to his heart.
"I...I'm sorry, Your Highness, I...I shouldn't have said that, I...I deserve to die..."
The burly man stammered, slapping himself twice hard across the face as he spoke. "Slap! Slap!"
The crisp sound of the slap was particularly loud in the quiet atmosphere.
Only then did Aziz slowly withdraw his gaze, but his eyes remained as cold as frost.
A low hum escaped his throat, a soft snort that struck the big man's heart like a heavy hammer.
“Next time I hear something like that, you can go back and report to my father.”
Aziz's voice was icy cold, devoid of any emotional fluctuation.
Upon hearing this, the burly man felt as if he had been granted a pardon, and he hurriedly nodded and bowed as he spoke.
"Yes, yes, yes, I will never dare to do it again. Please forgive me, Your Highness! Please forgive me, Your Highness!"
His body was still trembling uncontrollably, clearly terrified by Azis.
Aziz glanced sideways at his subordinate expressionlessly, his eyes cold and sharp, as if they could pierce through his soul.
After a moment of silence, he spoke slowly, his voice deep and authoritative.
"Send people to thoroughly investigate her family background. Whether it's her or her family, if they encounter any difficulties, we can mobilize the entire royal family's power without hesitation to remove all obstacles and ensure their path is unobstructed, understand?"
The burly man was intimidated by Azis's imposing presence and quickly bowed in response.
"Understood. I will arrange for people to handle it immediately. I solemnly assure you that no matter where she or her family is in the world, they will never suffer the slightest grievance."
After saying this, he retreated slowly, as if granted a pardon.
Once the burly man had completely disappeared from sight, another burly man cautiously approached and asked in a low voice.
"Your Highness, aren't you being a little too worried? After all, she's just an ordinary student, how could she possibly cause any big trouble that requires your personal intervention?"
Upon hearing this, Aziz frowned slightly, his gaze sharp as he stared directly at the burly man, making the man feel somewhat guilty.
After a moment of silence, Aziz coldly retorted.
"Ordinary? You call her ordinary?"
The burly man trembled at Azis's question. He suddenly realized that his words might have been inappropriate, and he quickly lowered his head in fear, no longer daring to meet Azis's gaze.
Upon seeing this, Aziz's lips curled up slightly, and he let out a cold snort, seemingly expressing disdain for someone or something.
However, his voice did not stop there; instead, he continued speaking.
“In my eyes, she is no ordinary person. Every smile and frown of hers is like spring flowers in bloom, surpassing all other women in the world. I would gladly exchange her for my future throne.”
When he said these words, his tone was firm and resolute, as if it were a decision that required no thought.
For many, the throne is a symbol of supreme power, but in Azis's eyes, it was far less important than that woman.
At this point, Azis paused slightly, perhaps because he was thinking of Xiao Shanshan's face. His eyes became somewhat unfocused, as if he were lost in some kind of memory.
That look of infatuation once again enveloped his eyes, making one marvel that this usually imposing man also had such a tender side.
The phrase "preferring beauty to power" couldn't be more fitting for Azis.
In another corner not far away, there was a flower bush, behind which two figures were hidden, and it was difficult to spot them without careful observation.
The two figures appeared to be young men from China who looked like students. They were squatting there, occasionally glancing in the direction of Azis and the others, while muttering to themselves.
"I really didn't expect this. This Azis is no simple man. He actually has so many people protecting him in the dark."
One of the young men in blue lowered his voice, a hint of surprise in his tone.
Another young man nodded in agreement, his gaze fixed on Azis, as if trying to find some clues from his words and actions.
"Take a guess, what is his identity?" the young man in blue continued to ask, a hint of curiosity flashing in his eyes.
Another young man thought for a moment, then answered.
"I think he's at least a big tycoon from the Middle East, maybe even a prince."
After all, it's not something an ordinary person can do to be allowed to have so many bodyguards with an international student.
And I've heard there are a lot of wealthy people there, so that's very likely.
When he said this, even he himself did not expect that his casual guess would so accurately reveal Azis's true identity.
Upon hearing his words, the young man in black frowned, seemingly deep in thought.
