Chapter 53 Big Brother Will Always Be There

The woman wanted to hit Xiao Jiang again, but a long arm stretched out from the side and blocked her.

Xiao Weiguo, a tall man over 1.8 meters, pushed the woman back with just a little effort.

"Big brother!"

When Xiao Yue saw her older brother arrive, she burst into tears and ran to throw herself into his arms.

Xiao Weiguo squatted down and put his arm around the little girl.

"Don't be afraid, Yueyue, your big brother is here."

He should have kept quiet; the more he spoke, the harder Xiao Yue cried.

"Brother, they are bad people, they are bullying Yueyue and Third Brother."

The little girl was crying so hard she could barely breathe, as if she had suffered a terrible injustice. This made Xiao Weiguo feel a pang of heartache.

Xiao Jiang, the younger brother, stood there silently, glaring angrily at the woman opposite him. He didn't even utter a sound when his older brother arrived.

"You're the parent of these two little brats, right? He hit my son. Tell me, how are you going to compensate me?"

Xiao Weiguo ignored him and finally managed to coax the little girl to stop crying before turning to ask Xiao Jiang.

"Xiao Jiang, what happened?"

Xiao Jiang remained silent, while Xiao Yue interjected, "Big brother, it was Yu Qiang who peed on my schoolbag, and Third Brother saw it and that's when the fight started."

Xiao Weiguo frowned slightly, squatted down in front of Xiao Jiang, and stroked his stubborn younger brother's hair.

"Xiao Jiang, tell me, is this what happened?"

Xiao Jiang's eyes were red, but he held back his tears. "Yes, brother."

Xiao Weiguo nodded.

"Were the injuries on his face inflicted by this woman?"

The handprint was clear; it was obviously not a child's handprint.

"It's okay, brother, I'm not in pain."

By saying this, Xiao Jiang was essentially acknowledging Xiao Weiguo's words.

Xiao Weiguo raised his head and looked directly at Zhou Ruolan.

"My younger brother and sister weren't lying, were they?"

Zhou Ruolan was startled by his gaze; his calm tone clearly indicated that he was on the verge of exploding.

"Comrade Xiao, Xiao Jiang and Xiao Yue didn't lie, but listen to me..."

But Xiao Weiguo had already turned away and ignored her.

He smiled at Xiao Jiang.

“Little brother, you did the right thing today. If someone bullies your sister or our family, then we don’t need to be polite to them.”

"Never bow to evil, and never fear such an unreasonable madman, because..."

Before he could finish speaking, he suddenly sprang to his feet.

In the blink of an eye, before anyone could react, Xiao Weiguo slapped the woman hard across the face.

With a "smack," the woman screamed and fell backward, almost landing on the ground.

"Because your older brother will always be there, do you understand?"

She turned her head and asked Xiao Jiang in a still gentle tone.

Xiao Jiang clenched his fists tightly and nodded firmly.

"Yes, brother, I understand."

Xiao Weiguo then smiled with satisfaction.

The woman's face was swollen on one side after being slapped by Xiao Weiguo, and blood was seeping from the corner of her mouth.

Zhou Ruolan was so frightened that she turned pale and backed away repeatedly. After all, she was just a young girl in her early twenties and had never experienced such a scene before.

The woman plopped down on the ground, covered her face, and screamed in agony.

"Where did you come from, you bastard, daring to hit me? Ouch, that hurts so much!"

"Yu Zhiliang, you bastard, your wife is being beaten to death, aren't you going to do anything about it?"

Her husband had already rushed up and was about to pull Xiao Weiguo's hair.

But he was less than 1.7 meters tall and his body was skinny. He was no match for Xiao Weiguo. Before he could even pull out a hair, Xiao Weiguo grabbed his collar.

"Xiao Jiang and Xiao Yue, let me teach you another lesson."

"When you can't reason with some people, you have to let them know that might makes right."

As he spoke, he raised his hand and slapped Yu Zhiliang's slick, shiny head repeatedly.

"Slap, slap, slap," one slap after another, making Yu Zhiliang dizzy and unable to resist at all.

Finally, Xiao Weiguo kicked him in the stomach. Yu Zhiliang staggered back, eventually falling with a thud onto his wife's back.

Their son, Yu Qiang, was already crying loudly in fear. Xiao Weiguo only glanced at him, and the boy immediately scurried behind his parents.

The couple helped each other to their feet, their four eyes fixed intently on Xiao Weiguo.

"You've got guts! Do you even know who my dad is? I'm going to tell him to kill you."

Yu Zhiliang knew that even if he and his wife joined forces, they were no match for Xiao Weiguo, so they only dared to make threats from afar.

Xiao Weiguo stood with his hands in his pockets, his face full of disdain.

"I don't care who your father is. If you dare to bully my younger siblings, even the King of Heaven himself can't stop you."

"Fine, fine, you're something else. Just you wait. Let me tell you, my dad is the director of the county reform commission. Let's see if he can kill you then."

Yu Zhiliang helped his wife up, and the couple, while threatening her, slowly retreated with their son.

A wise man doesn't fight a losing battle. This kid isn't one to reason with people. Go back and tell the old man that with his influence in the county, dealing with this simpleton will be a piece of cake.

"Who is your father? The director of the county revolutionary committee? Yu Guosheng?"

Xiao Weiguo found it somewhat amusing. This county town was really small. He hadn't even had a chance to deal with that old guy yet, and unexpectedly, he ran into his son and grandson here again.

"Looks like you know my dad. Are you scared now?"
