Chapter 153 A Fierce Tiger Blocks the Way

A striped tiger leaped out of a ditch not far away and stared intently at him.

The tiger had a thick, long tail, and its left hind leg limped when it walked. Its large tiger eyes gleamed with a cold, eerie light.

Zhang Cheng cursed inwardly; he was no Wu Song.

Even if this beast is injured, he can't deal with it with his bare hands.

He quietly slipped his hand inside the lining and gripped the military dagger tightly.

The tiger strolled slowly toward him.

A strong, fishy stench hit him, making it almost impossible for Zhang Cheng to open his eyes.

"roar!"

The tiger suddenly roared.

Zhang Cheng's muscles tensed instantly.

"Big sister!"

A clear yet anxious female voice came from the direction of the consignment shop.

Upon hearing the sound, the tiger tilted its head and let out a low growl.

Shi Yangyang, wearing a cotton-padded coat and clutching a rolling pin tightly in her hand, ran over quickly, her face full of anxiety.

"Yangyang, be careful!"

Zhang Cheng's heart leaped into his throat when he saw her rush towards the tiger without any warning.

"Bang!"

Zhang Cheng's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

Shi Yangyang ran up to the tiger, raised the rolling pin, and smashed it squarely on the tiger's forehead.

The striped tiger was stunned by the impact, and a hint of grievance welled up in its huge eyes. It pawed at the ground and whimpered.

this……

Zhang Cheng felt a chill run down his spine.

No wonder they say women are tigresses, they're really ruthless and fierce.

Shi Yangyang's cheeks flushed red when she saw Zhang Cheng's horrified expression. She quickly hid the rolling pin behind her back, ran to him, and whispered.

"My younger sister doesn't recognize your scent, that's why she stopped you..."

"Cough cough!"

Zhang Cheng coughed twice, glanced at the tiger lying not far away looking aggrieved, and then at Shi Yangyang, whose face was red.

"Honey, you really scared me! This is a tiger, alive and wild! How did you... tame it?"

"I...I didn't tame it!"

Shi Yangyang tilted her head back, her big eyes blinking.

“During this time, my little sister has been wandering around the village. The village chief was worried that she might hurt someone, so he tried to lure her out of the village with food… Later, I fed her some cured meat a few times, and she's been staying near the general store ever since…”

"Er Gouzi, you're back!"

Aunt Hua also ran over from a distance, and as she passed the tiger, she muttered a curse.

"Go away, go play somewhere else, don't block the way!"

The tiger whimpered twice and slowly moved to the side, still limping.

Zhang Cheng was completely dumbfounded.

So you guys are treating tigers like big yellow dogs?

"Er Gouzi, did you come back alone this time?" Aunt Hua asked.

“Auntie, Big Head Brother has been busy lately. I’ll take you to the county to see him in a while,” Zhang Cheng said, snapping out of his reverie.

"No, no, no, Big Head has become successful thanks to you, how can we go and cause trouble at this time?" Aunt Hua waved her hands repeatedly.

Zhang Cheng took Shi Yangyang's hand, and a smile returned to his face.

How's business at the consignment store lately?

Although Zhang Cheng had already touched her all over, Shi Yangyang was still too embarrassed to lower her head when she was being held by the hand in public.

Aunt Hua chuckled as she looked at her shy expression.

"It's great! People from several nearby villages come here to buy things!"

The three of them returned to the store chatting and laughing.

"Er Gouzi, haven't you had dinner yet? Auntie will cook you a couple of dishes."

"Okay!" Zhang Cheng nodded with a smile.

Aunt Hua stepped over the threshold and went into the kitchen next to the consignment store.

Zhang Cheng turned his head, looked at Shi Yangyang whose cheeks were still flushed, and moved closer.

"Honey, have you missed me?"

Shi Yangyang's chest heaved as she met his burning gaze, gave a soft "hmm," and then leaned forward to kiss him on the cheek.

"think!"
