Chapter 157 The Hatred of a Village!

No, their flesh and blood are too filthy!

Even being torn to pieces would not quell this hatred!

"Village chief, what do we do now?"

"Don't we still have some gunpowder from back in the day in the village? Let's blow up that bastard's place!"

The old village chief turned his gaze to Zhang Cheng: "Er Gouzi, what do you think we should do?"

"Call the police!" Zhang Cheng said gravely.

Every piece of evidence left by the Japanese invaders must be made public so that the world can see the heinous crimes they committed on our Chinese soil!

"Er Gouzi is right! We must let the whole world know about the evil deeds of those beasts!"

“Village chief, I’m going to the county to report this to the police right now!” Li Yongheng stepped forward.

"I'll go with you!" Zhang Jucai said, his eyes red. His parents had been brutally murdered by the Japanese devils.

The old village chief nodded: "Then Yongheng and Jucai should go to the county to report the case! Everyone else, don't go near that place yet, wait for the police to arrive!"

Zhang Jucai and Li Yongheng immediately ran out of the ancestral hall.

Zhang Cheng frowned and reminded him, "Uncle, the situation of that cave is unclear. It might be dangerous to approach it rashly. It would be better to wait for the police to arrive so we can investigate together."

After pondering for a moment, the old village chief felt that Zhang Cheng's words made sense, so he told everyone to disperse and wait for news.

It was past 10 p.m.

Xiao Xing was dozing off in the duty room.

A series of rapid slamming sounds on the table startled him awake.

Xiao Xing rubbed his eyes, got up, and walked out of the duty room. He saw two men shouting loudly at a police officer on duty.

Are they villagers from Zhangjia Village?

Xiao Xing quickly stepped forward: "Are you from Zhangjia Village?"

“Yes, yes, yes! Officer, we’re from Zhangjia Village! We even had noodles at your station last time!” Zhang Jucai said, panting heavily.

Before Xiao Xing could ask any further questions, Li Yongheng spoke up, his tone anxious:

"Officer, we found what looks like a secret outpost left by the Japanese in the mountains, but something's not right inside!"

"What?" Xiao Xing's expression changed, and he became serious. "Are you sure?"

"Mmm-hmm!" Zhang Jucai nodded repeatedly.

"Please wait a moment, I will inform the director immediately!"

Xiao Xing turned and ran into the duty room, grabbed the phone, and quickly dialed the paging number to contact Zhao Daming.

Zhao Daming's family didn't have a telephone, so it was so late that he had to rush to the police station on his motorcycle.

As he walked, he thought to himself that he should get a telephone line installed at home, otherwise it would be too much of a hassle.
