Chapter 226 They were desperados, but not fools.

Leopard Brother's rough, large hand roamed freely inside the girl's clothes, a ferocious smile on his face, as he plopped down opposite Zhang Cheng.

His fierce eyes held an undisguised domineering nature.

"Mr. Zhang, do you think I'm right?"

"Yes, of course."

Zhang Cheng, with a faint smile playing on his lips, calmly sized up the fierce-looking man before him.

"But a dog is a dog."

His voice was soft, but every word pierced the heart.

"You must remember, dogs without owners will be beaten to death."

"Furthermore, the quality of your master determines whether you eat meat or excrement."

These words instantly darkened Brother Leopard's expression.

He leaned forward slowly, like a wild beast poised to pounce, staring intently at Zhang Cheng in the wheelchair, and let out a cold laugh.

"Boss Zhang, I've discovered that you really have something wrong with your head."

"You really can't see the current situation?"

"In this private room, there are three of you, and on my side, there are eleven."

"I'm curious, where the hell do you get the nerve to talk to me like that?"

"Just because those two idiots are cops?"

Liu Zhongren's eyes suddenly turned cold, slicing towards Brother Leopard like a blade.

Leopard seemed oblivious, his mockery growing even more pronounced.

"The police are truly remarkable."

"The problem is, here are two young policemen..."

"What a load of rubbish!"

"Bang!"

Leopard slammed his hand on the table, causing the wine glass to jump and make a jarring sound.

His group of young men instantly sprang to attention, grabbing bottles and chairs, their eyes gleaming with malice as they glared at Zhang Cheng and his companions.

"Boss Zhang, do you believe that with just one word from me, the three of you will be carried out of here tonight?" Brother Leopard said smugly, confident of victory.

"I believe you, of course I believe you."

Zhang Cheng smiled and stretched out his right hand, gently turning the glass turntable on the dining table to bring a teapot to his face.

He looked at Xiaoxing, his tone still eerily calm: "Get me a clean teacup."

"Oh, oh oh!"

Xiao Xing snapped out of his daze, quickly got up, and took a clean teacup from a nearby cabinet.

Zhang Cheng took the teacup, ignoring the watchful eyes around him, and slowly picked up the teapot to pour himself a cup of hot tea.

The aroma of tea rises gently.

He squinted slightly, took a small sip, and then slowly smiled, "Brother Leopard, right?"

"I believe you can get us out lying down."

"But believe it or not, everyone in this private room today, without exception..."

"They won't all survive tonight?"

"Yeah?"

Leopard pursed his lips, finally pulled his hand out of the girl's clothes, drew a dark pistol from his waist, and slammed it heavily on the table.

“Boss Zhang, we are all a bunch of wretched people who don’t know where our next meal will come from.”

"As you said yourself, we are like stray dogs who fled from Yiwu."

"So, you're prepared to gamble with our precious boss's life?"

Leopard Brother squinted, scrutinizing the young man in front of him with an eerily calm expression.

Xiao Xing's palms were covered in cold sweat. He never dreamed that these desperados would dare to pull out guns right in front of the police.

"How much money did Qian Zheng give you?"

Zhang Cheng asked abruptly.

Leopard raised an eyebrow, unsurprised.

Funing County is only so big, and he never intended to hide the fact that he had sought refuge with Qian Zheng.

"What? Mr. Zhang wants to recruit us?"

Leopard laughed, with a hint of mockery: "Boss Qian helped us set up four video arcades and gives us a thousand yuan a month. If you, Boss Zhang, want us to work with you, the price will have to double."

"As the old saying goes, money talks. As long as you pay enough, we'll become your most loyal lackeys!"

Zhang Cheng held up one finger.

It's slow and steady.

"Ten thousand yuan."

His voice remained calm: "Get out of Funing County."

Leopard Brother's smile froze instantly.

He stared intently at Zhang Cheng's finger, his voice as cold as ice: "Mr. Zhang, I've already given you a lot of face."

"But you keep provoking me, do you really think Brother Leopard is a pushover?"

"Or do you think this gun of mine is a toy?"

As he spoke, Leopard Brother placed his hand over the pistol.

“Ten thousand yuan is not a small amount.” Zhang Cheng laughed. “Believe it or not, if I just spread the word that I can buy your life with ten thousand yuan, you won’t live more than three days in Funing County.”

"Heh!" Brother Leopard let out a dry laugh. "Boss Zhang, do you think I'm easily scared?"

Before he finished speaking, he gripped his pistol tightly and slowly stood up from his chair.

In an instant, the murderous aura in the entire private room solidified into a tangible substance.

All the young men's eyes turned incredibly fierce, as if they wanted to devour Zhang Cheng, who was in the wheelchair, alive.

Zhang Cheng, however, seemed completely unaffected.

Liu Zhongren and Xiao Xing were both tense, ready to pounce.

“My name, Zhang Cheng, is frequently mentioned by the municipal party committee leaders.”

Zhang Cheng suddenly spoke up.

Brother Leopard looked disdainful. So what if they're municipal leaders? The emperor's reach is far away.

"Zhao Daming, the director of Nanyang Police Station, is like a brother to me."

Leopard's expression remained disdainful.

"Director Yu of the Municipal Public Security Bureau treats me like a junior colleague."

“In the newly developed department store in Funing County, I took photos of fifty storefronts all by myself.”

"The Funing County Chamber of Commerce was established because of me."

"Prosecutor Tong from the Municipal Procuratorate is my business partner."
