Chapter 252 is all packaged.

"Uncle Liu, now you can release the news that the smelter will be located in Funing County."

Li Yuanchao's voice was calm, yet carried an undeniable weight.

"Okay! I'll have the newspaper publish this news later!"

Secretary Liu suppressed his excitement and nodded emphatically.

"Uncle Liu, I'll be going now."

Li Yuanchao stood up, straightened his suit collar, and had a faint smile on his lips.

"Secretary Liu, please don't see me off, lest it attract attention."

"You know, I'm not one to show my face."

"Alright then!"

Secretary Liu did not insist; he understood the young man's style of doing things.

Li Yuanchao nodded slightly, turned around and strode forward. His leather shoes made a crisp and rhythmic sound on the terrazzo floor, and his figure quickly disappeared at the office door.

Watching his departing figure, Secretary Liu's eyes became incredibly complex.

If Li Yuanchao were willing to enter politics, his future would be limitless, given his father's connections in the capital.

Unfortunately, this prodigy's ambitions seem to lie in a much broader blue ocean of business.

Of course, as the general manager of a giant state-owned smelting plant, this position itself is a hard currency that can be exchanged for power at any time.

Stepping out of the office, Li Yuanchao, with his hands in his trouser pockets, walked unhurriedly towards the stairwell.

Just as he was about to go downstairs, his steps suddenly stopped.

A beautiful figure was walking up from downstairs.

She was very tall, nearly 1.7 meters, and the high heels on her feet made her even more upright.

Over the outside was a fiery red wool coat, and underneath was a warm, brownish-yellow sweater.

Paired with tailored trousers, the outfit exudes a fashionable vibe, which clashes with the somewhat outdated municipal building.

Her long, black, wavy hair was casually draped over her shoulders, making her face appear even more fair and her features as exquisite as a work of art.

Li Yuanchao had seen countless socialites and celebrities, but this woman made his usually calm heart skip a beat.

A strange, intense thrill instantly seized him.

Li Yuanyuan noticed someone at the stairwell. Her gaze swept over the well-dressed, composed young man, and she gave him a polite nod before preparing to pass by him.

Li Yuanchao's peripheral vision followed that splash of red, and almost instinctively, he turned around.

"Miss!"

His voice was slightly hoarse than usual.

Li Yuanyuan stopped and turned to look at him, her eyes filled with a question.

"What's wrong?"

"Hello, Miss, my name is Li Yuanchao."

Having navigated the business world for many years and always able to talk and laugh about projects worth hundreds of millions, Li Yuanchao felt a rare sense of tension at this moment.

He pulled his right hand out of his pocket and extended it towards Li Yuanyuan.

Li Yuanyuan's gaze fell on his slender, clean hands, then met his eyes, which were full of admiration and even a hint of heat, and she suddenly smiled.

"Hello, my name is Li Yuanyuan."

But she didn't reach out.

Li Yuanchao was not embarrassed. He calmly withdrew his hand, his smile unchanged.

"It was presumptuous of me to call out to Miss Li."

Li Yuanyuan just smiled and didn't say anything.

She knew all too well how attractive her looks were to men, especially to a vigorous young man like the one before her.

"Miss Li, if there's a chance, may I invite you to dinner?"

Li Yuanchao's questions were direct and confident.

Li Yuanyuan's beautiful eyes sparkled, and her red lips parted slightly: "If there's an opportunity, of course I can."

This answer provides leeway, but also sets a threshold.

"Well, I'm really looking forward to the opportunity that's coming soon."

Li Yuanchao gave her a deep look.

"Ms. Li, please go ahead and get back to your work!"

After saying that, he actually turned around and went straight downstairs.

Li Yuanyuan stared at his decisive back, slightly taken aback, then raised her hand to cover her red lips and let out a soft laugh.

"So he's a guy who appears calm on the outside but is actually innocent on the inside."

She shrugged, stopped thinking about it, and strode towards Vice Mayor Ma's office.

As Li Yuanchao walked up the stairs, he took a deep breath and looked at his palm.

A thin layer of sweat.

He couldn't help but give a bitter laugh and mutter to himself.

"Li Yuanchao, Li Yuanchao, you're really getting worse as you get older."

"You boast that you can flit among flowers without a single petal clinging to you, but when it really comes down to it, this is all you've got."

At 28, given his family background, he was already considered an older single man.

The blind dates arranged by his family were all with wealthy and influential partners, but he just couldn't muster any interest in them.

He doesn't care about social status; he just wants someone who can make his heart flutter.

Over the years, very few people have caught his eye.

This was the first time something had made his heart race and made him feel awkward, like just now.

Thinking of this, Li Yuanchao suddenly turned around and ran upstairs quickly.

There aren't many offices on the fourth floor.

He was like a detective, silently passing by each office door, listening intently.

Soon, outside the deputy mayor's office, he heard that voice that stirred his heartstrings.

The door was closed, so I couldn't hear clearly.

Li Yuanchao's eyes darted around, and without lingering, he turned and walked towards Secretary Liu's office.

"Knock knock".

"Enter."

Secretary Liu was engrossed in reviewing documents, and with Li Yuanchao's promise, he was full of energy.

Hearing the door open, he instinctively looked up.

"Yuan Chao? Why are you back? Did you leave something here?"

Secretary Liu immediately stood up.
