"Boss Zhang, I'll take a car to Wenzhou first and meet up with Lao San."
The fourth brother's voice was deep and hoarse, carrying an unquestionable tone.
"If you don't have anywhere to store these things, you can use this truck first. Just find a place to park it."
"Um."
Zhang Cheng nodded, his mind racing.
Since there are ready-made trucks, there is no need to transfer these protective equipment in Funing County; they can be sent directly to Hangzhou.
"Mr. Zhang, I'll be waiting for you in Wenzhou."
The fourth brother gave a pager number, then turned and left, his tall figure quickly disappearing around the street corner.
Watching his departing figure, Li Yuanyuan finally breathed a sigh of relief. She reached out and gently tugged at Zhang Cheng's sleeve, her voice still carrying a hint of lingering fear.
"Zhang Cheng, this guy... he looks really fierce!"
Zhang Cheng didn't respond to her immediately. Instead, he looked at Zhang Da Nao at the entrance of the clothing store and instructed, "Brother Da Nao, find a trustworthy driver to transport this truckload of goods directly to Hangzhou."
"become!"
Zhang Da Nao readily agreed.
After giving his instructions, Zhang Cheng turned to look at Li Yuanyuan, who was still pouting, and spoke in a flat tone.
"I'm going to Wenzhou. Be careful."
"Are you worried about me?"
Li Yuanyuan's eyes lit up instantly, and she couldn't help but smile.
"You're my employee. If something happens, who will manage the store for me?"
Zhang Cheng smiled, but his words were like a bucket of cold water.
"cut!"
Li Yuanyuan immediately lost her temper.
"Alright, it's almost time, let's go to the station."
Zhang Cheng greeted Zhang Jianhao and the others, then headed straight for the bus station without lingering.
He thought he would see Lao Si again at the station, but after searching around, the towering figure had vanished without a trace.
The bus departed on time at 11:30.
It takes more than four hours to drive from Funing County to Wenzhou.
There were already more than 30 people on the bus, and more people kept getting on along the way, making it quickly become extremely crowded, with various smells mixed in the air.
Zhang Cheng sat by the window, closing his eyes to rest.
Suddenly, Zhang Jianhao, who was standing next to him, nudged his arm with his elbow without making a sound.
Zhang Cheng slowly opened his eyes, his gaze calm and unwavering.
Zhang Jianhao gestured with his chin forward.
Following his gaze, a young man in blue overalls was standing close to a middle-aged man who was dozing off, his right hand silently slipping into the man's pocket as if it had no bones.
When she came out, there was something wrapped in a handkerchief on her fingertips.
It's money.
In those days, wallets were still a rarity, and most people were used to wrapping their money in handkerchiefs or cloth.
After succeeding, the young man exchanged a glance with his accomplice beside him, and the two shook hands discreetly.
The money was transferred instantly.
Many people in the carriage witnessed this scene, but no one uttered a sound.
Even the female ticket seller seemed unfazed, simply turning her head to look out the window.
Zhang Jianhao lowered his voice: "Brother, do you want to..."
Zhang Cheng shook his head almost imperceptibly.
With so many people and eyes in the car, and no one knowing the other person's background, speaking up at this moment would only cause unnecessary chaos.
The pickpocket clearly had no intention of stopping there and wandered around the crowd again.
A dozen minutes later, the group shouted at the driver to stop.
Zhang Cheng watched as the four pickpockets got off the train one after another before slowly speaking. His voice wasn't loud, but it clearly carried throughout the entire carriage.
"Hey you guys standing in front, check your pockets and see if you still have any money."
In short, it's like a pebble thrown into a calm lake.
The crowd instantly stirred.
"My money!"
"Damn it! My money's all gone!"
Exclamations and curses rose and fell.
Several quick-thinking men roared and jumped out of the car, shouting "Catch the thief!" and chased after the figures that had already taken off running.
Eight passengers rushed out.
The driver seemed not to see it, stepped on the gas, and the bus continued to move forward, swaying and bumping.
The female ticket seller turned around and glanced at Zhang Cheng with disdain.
Sudden.
Zhang Cheng's eyebrows suddenly shot up.
He could clearly feel a chill seeping out from the gaps in the seat.
A hand, holding a sharp dagger, was quietly pressed against his side.
A middle-aged man sitting behind him had no change in expression, but leaned forward slightly and whispered in his ear in a cold voice.
"Kid, you think you're the only one with a mouth? Everyone else is keeping quiet, but you insist on playing the hero?"
"Now, obediently hand over all your money."
Zhang Cheng smiled.
"Are you robbing me?"
"We're robbing you, so what? You got a problem with that?"
Before he could finish speaking...
"Snap!"
A sickening cracking sound echoed clearly throughout the entire carriage.
"ah--!!!"
A piercing scream tore through the air.
Everyone in the car was stunned by this sudden turn of events and turned to look at the source of the sound.
Suddenly, Zhang Cheng grabbed the middle-aged man's wrist with his backhand, his five fingers like iron clamps, forcefully bending the wrist outward into a strange angle.
Zhang Jianhao grinned, suddenly stood up, grabbed the middle-aged man by the hair, and with a loud shout, forcefully lifted him up from his seat!
On the other side, Zhang Duoshu, without saying a word, took off his shoes and pulled out a folding knife from the sole.
"Whoosh!"
The blade popped out.
He lunged forward and stabbed the middle-aged man who was being held captive by Zhang Jianhao!
