Chapter 132 The mantis stalks the cicada! shuhaige.net

Inside the train carriage, Zhang Tian was in a good mood. This transaction would net him at least two million in profit, and he wouldn't have to pay taxes.

"Brother Zhang, once we leave Jiaxing, find a place to call your friend in Shanghai?"

“Okay.” Zhang Cheng nodded. Jiang Yuhong said he needed a week to raise the money, and only three days have passed. Considering the journey, they should be arriving in Shanghai soon.

Four cars drove out of the city and onto the national highway. As night fell, there were few vehicles on the national highway.

Zhang Tian started to chat: "Brother Zhang, what does your friend do in Shanghai?"

"I'm not too clear about his specific business." Zhang Cheng genuinely didn't know Jiang Yuhong's main occupation.

"Where in Shanghai should we meet?"

"Yu Hong Road, Yu Hong Department Store".

"Jiang Yuhong?" Zhang Tian's hand on the steering wheel paused almost imperceptibly, and he quickly glanced at Zhang Cheng.

"Brother, the friend you're talking about, could it be that General Manager Jiang?"

"Does Brother Zhang know him?"

Zhang Tian chuckled dryly: "Brother Zhang, you think too highly of me. A man like President Jiang can shake the ground if he stomps his foot in Shanghai."

"Last year, some kind of securities trading counter opened on Nanjing West Road. I heard that General Manager Jiang made this much money in just three months..." He made a "two" gesture and lowered his voice, "Twenty million!"

Zhang Cheng's heart skipped a beat. Twenty million in 1986—Jiang Yuhong must have considerable influence.

As they chatted, Zhang Cheng glanced at the rearview mirror out of the corner of his eye, his brows furrowing slightly.

"Brother Zhang."

"What's wrong?"

"Slow down, let the cars behind pass first."

Zhang Tian's heart tightened, and he looked in the rearview mirror, but found nothing unusual: "Brother, what happened?"

It has a tail.

"No way?" Zhang Tianyi slowed down and turned the steering wheel to the right.

The large truck behind roared past, followed by two Santanas.

After the three cars passed, not far behind them, there was indeed a Santana lying there, sneakily without its headlights on.

The Santana without lights also slowed down, hovering at a leisurely pace. It remained completely still at several points where overtaking was possible.

Sweat began to bead on Zhang Tian's forehead.

"Brother Zhang, is there anything in the car?"

"Things? What things?" Zhang Tian was a little confused.

"It can make a sound."

Zhang Tian shuddered, stung by Zhang Cheng's cold gaze: "Brother, don't scare me. Maybe we're just traveling the same way."

"We're almost out of Jiaxing's territory." Zhang Cheng said no more, quickly scanning the car interior, looking for something suitable.

It was completely empty.

Zhang Cheng's gaze fell on Zhang Tian's waist.

"Brother, what are you doing..." Zhang Tian froze when he saw him reach out his hand.

"Don't move." Zhang Cheng unbuckled Zhang Tian's belt and wrapped it tightly around his fist, the brass buckle pressed against the outside of his knuckles.

At that very moment!

The Santana leading the way suddenly braked without warning!

Zhang Tian instinctively slammed on the brakes.

"Bang!"

With a loud crash, the Santana, which hadn't turned on its headlights, slammed into the rear of their car!

The immense force caused Zhang Tian's forehead to slam heavily against the steering wheel.

Zhang Cheng was prepared. He pushed off the front with both legs, bent his knees to dissipate the force, spun around, pushed open the car door with his other hand, and rolled out like a cat.

In the two Santana cars ahead, Zhang Jianhao and the others got out, cursing and swearing.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Without warning, a burst of gunfire erupted like popping beans!

"Hold!"

"What happened?"

"There's a gun! Get down!"

Zhang Jianhao and his companions screamed and scrambled towards the drainage ditch beside the national highway.

Zhang Cheng lay in the shadows, his eyes fixed on the two hooded figures getting out of the last Santana.

Both men were holding guns, firing wildly at the car in front of them while creeping towards the Santana that had been rear-ended.

"Bang!"

Just as one of them reached out to open the driver's side door, a stone flew from the shadows and hit him right on the forehead!

Blood splattered everywhere.

The man screamed and rolled on the ground, clutching his head. The other man immediately ducked, raised his gun over the roof of the car, and fired two shots toward the drainage ditch.

Zhang Cheng crouched low, silently darting several meters along the drainage ditch wall before disappearing back into the shadows. There were no streetlights on the national highway; the darkness was his best cover.

Inside the Santana, Zhang Tian had blood streaming down his forehead and his face was deathly pale. He never dreamed that someone would actually dare to rob him at gunpoint.

"Sixth Brother, how are you?" the masked man leaning against the Santana growled.

"Damn it, I'm going to kill him!" The guy called Lao Liu covered his head and struggled to get up.

Suddenly, Lao Liu's eyes, which were sticking out from under his hood, widened in extreme fear, and he screamed, "Watch out behind you!"

The masked man with the gun was startled and had not yet reacted.

A leather belt suddenly tightened around his neck like a venomous snake!

Zhang Cheng clenched his teeth, veins bulging on his arms, and twisted with all his might!

"Crack!" A soft sound of the neck bone breaking.

The man collapsed without uttering a sound.

"I'll kill you!" Old Six roared, raising his hand.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!" Gunshots rang out one after another.

In just three seconds, both pistols fired almost simultaneously, producing a series of clicks as the cartridges went empty.

Zhang Cheng suddenly leaped out from behind the Santana, swinging his belt in a wide arc and pulling it out!

"Smack!"

The brass buckle struck Lao Liu squarely in the face, and the hood ripped open, leaving him a bloody mess.

The sixth brother's scream had barely left his lips when a dark shadow pounced on him. He felt a sharp pain in his lower abdomen, all his strength was instantly drained, and his knees buckled, causing him to collapse to the ground.

Zhang Cheng's eyes were icy cold. He pressed his thumb into the other person's left eye socket and pressed hard!

"ah--!"

With his other hand, he used two fingers like pincers to lock the other person's Adam's apple, and the scream came to an abrupt halt.
