Chapter 149 I couldn't wait for her to become the 3

He felt angry whenever he thought about his past with Xiang Shanshan, and he lost all appetite.

After being rejected, Xiang Shanshan's face showed a hint of embarrassment, but she quickly recovered and said with a smile, "In that case, I won't bother you any longer."

After saying that, she walked up to Zhang Heng with a look of seeking advice: "Senior, there are some questions I don't quite understand. I'll treat you to a meal, and I'd appreciate it if you could teach me."

As Xiang Shanshan spoke, she kept glancing at Su Xiangyang out of the corner of her eye. She knew exactly how to manipulate Su Xiangyang. She was confident that Su Xiangyang would take the bait by using the tactic of retreating to advance.

Su Xiangyang looked at Xiang Shanshan and Zhang Heng standing together and felt inexplicably annoyed.

He was still angry when his stomach started growling uncontrollably. The three bowls of wontons he had eaten weren't even enough to fill his teeth.

When Xiang Shanshan saw this, a triumphant smile flashed in her eyes. Sure enough, Su Xiangyang had taken the bait.

Su Xiangyang grabbed Deng Jiaqi, who was about to leave, and said, "There's still one question we haven't figured out yet. Why don't we ask it while we eat? That would be more down-to-earth."

Deng Jiaqi hugged her bag tightly, knowing in her heart that there was no question left unanswered. It was clear that Su Xiangyang couldn't stand the girl eating with other boys!

She looked in Xiang Shanshan's direction and met Xiang Shanshan's provocative gaze. Deng Jiaqi bit her lip and said, "Miss Su just said she was going to treat you to dinner. Does that include my share?"

"Of course, I can afford to treat you to a meal." Xiang Shanshan's lips curled up, revealing a meaningful smile.

As Deng Jiaqi entered the cafeteria, she was filled with thoughts of revenge. Her eyes held a hint of stubbornness and resentment as she walked straight to the food serving window, casually pointing at the dishes with her finger.

In no time, the plates were piled high with food, enough for three strong men to eat.

Su Xiangyang also came over carrying a large basin full of dishes. The basin was filled with meat and vegetables, which looked tempting and smelled delicious.

Xiang Shanshan stood aside, watching the two's actions. Her eyes widened, and her expression froze instantly, then turned ashen.

Her hands gripped the hem of her clothes tightly, her knuckles turning white from the force.

He roared inwardly: This is my monthly living expenses!

It was all eaten up by Deng Jiaqi, that pig-like woman!

She looked at Su Xiangyang again, and felt a pang of sadness in her heart. How come she had never seen him eat so much before, and he always chose meat dishes?

In the past, only Su Xiangyang would buy her food, but now things have completely changed.

Zhang Heng sat next to Xiang Shanshan and noticed her unusual mood. He quietly stepped on her foot under the table, his eyes questioning her about what was wrong.

Suppressing her anger, Xiang Shanshan forced a smile through gritted teeth and said to Su Xiangyang, "Xiangyang, didn't you still have questions to ask?"

Then, he turned his attention to Deng Jiaqi, a seemingly kind but actually mocking smile on his face: "Ms. Deng, you should wipe your mouth. Girls should pay more attention to their image."

Deng Jiaqi was enjoying her meal when she heard this. She slowly raised her head from the bowl, stopped eating instantly, and a hint of embarrassment and displeasure flashed in her eyes.

Just then, Su Xiangyang calmly took out a handkerchief, and his well-defined fingers gently pinched Deng Jiaqi's chin, the movement gentle yet carrying an undeniable meaning.

He carefully wiped her mouth clean, and reminded her, "Eat quickly, it won't taste good if it gets cold."

Deng Jiaqi seemed to have received tremendous encouragement, her cheeks puffing out like a greedy little hamster.

Chew, chew, chew...

Xiang Shanshan and Zhang Heng stared wide-eyed, as if they were looking at two starving ghosts released from a famine prison.

Having eaten and drunk his fill, Su Xiangyang patted his round belly contentedly, a satisfied smile on his face. He picked up his camera, pointed the lens at Zhang Heng, and said with a hint of teasing, "Zhang, you academic genius, how much is your monthly allowance?"

Zhang Heng was completely baffled by the question. Looking at the camera pointed at him, he was filled with doubt. What did this have to do with his studies?

But under the camera's gaze, he still truthfully said, "Ten yuan."

After listening, Su Xiangyang's lips curled up slightly, revealing a meaningful smile.

Su Xiangyang pulled Deng Jiaqi up and left the school, leaving Xiang Shanshan and Zhang Heng completely bewildered.

Zhang Heng looked at Xiang Shanshan with a reluctant expression, his tone carrying a hint of complaint: "You said you would treat us to this meal, so you should pay for it yourself. I don't have any money."

Upon hearing this, Xiang Shanshan flew into a rage. She slammed her chopsticks on the table with a loud "crack," feeling furious that the two of them had taken advantage of her for a free meal.

"How was I supposed to know? He just wanted to get something for free! He wasn't like this before." The more she thought about it, the angrier she became, and her eyes even reddened slightly.

“Su Xiangyang is the manager of the newspaper now, making more than 50 yuan a month. If I don’t flatter him and seduce him, where will you and I get our living expenses?”

Xiang Shanshan looked at Zhang Heng, her eyes full of calculation.

Zhang Heng's face darkened instantly. He hadn't expected Xiang Shanshan to say such shameless things so bluntly, when she was the one who was actually getting something for free.

“Su Xiangyang is married now. Are you keeping him hanging on? Do you want to be a mistress?” Zhang Heng couldn’t help but question.

A wicked glint flashed in Xiang Shanshan's eyes. She glared fiercely at Zhang Heng, her gaze seeming to devour him.

"What do you mean by that? That fat slut is nowhere near as good as me. And what did you mean by what you just said? What do you mean I want to be a mistress?"

Seeing the situation was turning sour, Zhang Heng realized he had said the wrong thing and quickly put on a distressed expression, grabbing Xiang Shanshan's hand and urgently trying to make amends:

"Shanshan, don't be angry. Su Xiangyang is already married. If word gets out that you and he are having an ambiguous relationship, it won't be good for your reputation."

Anyway, I'll be graduating soon and I'll be able to earn money soon. Let's just make life a little tough. Once I've earned money, I'll give it all to you.

I don't want to make you feel wronged.

When Xiang Shanshan heard Zhang Heng's explanation, her anger gradually subsided, and her expression softened considerably.

She thought to herself, Zhang Heng is the top student in the province. After graduation, he will definitely do better than Su Xiangyang in finding a job, a hundred times or even ten thousand times better.

Thinking this through, she immediately composed herself and reverted to the gentle, well-mannered Xiang Shanshan, saying softly:

"The two of them ate up our entire month's living expenses."

I was just so angry.

Su Xiangyang gave me the money voluntarily; I'm not the kind of person who would be a mistress.

You know me.

"He's taken so much of our living expenses; we'll make him pay it back in double."

Although Zhang Heng felt the pinch, he had no choice but to pay for the meal, since he would still have to rely on Xiang Shanshan for his living expenses in the future.

He thought to himself, "You can't catch a wolf without risking your cub." He even wished that Shanshan would become Su Xiangyang's mistress!

In this way, he could get more money from Shanshan.
