Chapter 151 Encountering Su Xiulan's lover

Meng Shuyun was so angry that her face turned red. She turned around and went to find a suitable tool in the room. While rolling up her sleeves, she scolded, "Su Xiangyang, don't you know what kind of person you are? Someone like you has the nerve to look down on others? Jiaqi is lucky to have you!"

Seeing this, Su Xiangyang felt a chill run down his spine. He didn't dare to argue and quickly put down his chopsticks. He then took Deng Jiaqi's hand affectionately and said, "Jiaqi, I'm sorry. I wasn't sincere enough just now. I apologize! I didn't mean to look down on you. I love you no matter what. Please tell my mother to stop dieting, okay?"

He was inwardly groaning. Why did he have to try to lose weight? It almost got him beaten up.

Deng Jiaqi felt a little guilty. Seeing Su Xiangyang's anxious look and the Meng family's expressions, she quickly nodded and said that she would not lose weight anymore. To convince everyone, she even ate two more bowls of rice.

That night, Meng Shuyun tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep, her mind preoccupied with Deng Jiaqi's weight loss efforts.

The next morning, she called Su Xiumei over and carefully instructed her: "Try to make the food more balanced in the future, with less oil and salt. What girl doesn't love beauty? Since Jiaqi has decided to lose weight, our family will accompany her and start by changing her eating habits."

So breakfast became a simple boiled egg with whole grains.

Su Xiangyang looked at the breakfast on the table, his brows furrowed in dissatisfaction. He yelled at Su Xiumei, "Sister, this is breakfast? How can this fill me up? I want noodles."

Just then, Meng Shuyun happened to be passing by, on her way to go to Teacher Xie's house to discuss tutoring. Hearing Su Xiangyang's words, she flew into a rage and snatched the breakfast from his hand: "You're so spoiled! Eat it or don't, it's up to you. If you want noodles, go out and buy them yourself!"

After saying that, he left without looking back.

Su Xiangyang stood there dumbfounded, watching Meng Shuyun walk away, not even having the courage to snatch the breakfast back.

Seeing Su Xiangyang's pitiful look, Deng Jiaqi's heart softened, and she handed him her breakfast: "You can have mine, I'm not hungry yet."

After she finished speaking, she looked at him expectantly with a hint of anticipation in her eyes.

But Su Xiangyang coldly replied, "One breakfast. I'll go out to eat later."

Deng Jiaqi felt a chill in her heart; all her expectations vanished in an instant. She never expected Su Xiangyang to despise her so much that he wouldn't even accept her breakfast.

But sometimes, Su Xiangyang would do things that gave her the wrong impression, like last night...

When Meng Shuyun arrived at the Xie family's house, coincidentally, Xie Lin'an was home. It was the weekend, and he didn't have to go to class.

Xie Lin'an invited Meng Shuyun into his home, poured her a glass of cold water, and then sat down opposite her. His expression was serious as he said, "Aunt Meng, regarding tutoring, I really don't have the energy. I'm afraid I can't tutor so many children at the same time. Besides, each child has different aptitudes, so the tutoring content will also be different..."

Meng Shuyun quickly interrupted him, her face showing a hint of pleading: "I know, Teacher Xie. My child's family was poor back then, so he didn't continue his studies, but his grades have always been among the best. Please give him a chance and see if you can accept him."

Grandma Xie chimed in, "Of course we have to give the child a chance. With such good grades, it would be a waste not to go to university."

Xie Lin'an was surprised that his mother made the decision for him directly. A hint of displeasure flashed across his face, but he couldn't show it. He could only go back to his room and bring out a set of test papers: "After you finish the test papers, bring them back for me to grade. If you get a passing score of 85 or above, I will agree to let you go to tutoring."

Upon hearing that the other party had agreed, Meng Shuyun was filled with gratitude: "Okay, we'll know if I'm capable or not after I do the test. Thank you so much, teacher."

Xie Lin'an had to go to the bookstore to organize the books, so he said goodbye to Meng Shuyun and left.

Meng Shuyun chatted with Grandma Xie for a while longer before getting up to say goodbye.

On the other hand, Su Xiulan was still not giving up and came to the bookstore again today to try her luck. She thought that as long as she came a few more times, she would eventually run into the bookstore owner.

Instead of running into the bookstore owner, I encountered Xie Lin'an.

"Teacher Xie! Are you here to buy books?" Su Xiulan asked, both surprised and delighted.

Xie Lin'an nodded slightly: "I came to take a look."

Seeing that he seemed quite familiar with the place, clearly organizing books rather than buying them, Su Xiulan asked, "Teacher Xie, you seem quite familiar with this place. Do you know the bookstore owner?"

As soon as he finished speaking, a book in Xie Lin'an's hand fell to the ground with a "thud".

The two of them bent down at the same time to pick it up, and their heads collided heavily.

"Hiss..." Both of them gasped in pain.

Just then, a sharp voice came from the bookstore entrance: "Su Xiulan, it's you!"

Su Xiulan looked up and saw that it was Liu Xiaomeng standing at the door holding a child.

Su Xiulan glanced at her, not intending to pay her any attention, and returned the book in her hand to Xie Lin'an.

Liu Xiaomeng, however, was relentless. She walked up to Su Xiulan with an arrogant air, looked Xie Lin'an up and down, and said sarcastically, "Oh, after you divorced Jianguo, you found such a poor teacher to date?"

Then he looked at Xie Lin'an and said sarcastically, "Teacher, do you know that Su Xiulan is divorced? You're dating her? She has two children in tow! Don't be fooled by her without even knowing it. She might be looking for you to be her dumping ground!"

Upon hearing this, Su Xiulan flew into a rage, blocking Xie Lin'an's path, narrowing her eyes, and fiercely warned, "Shut your filthy mouth and stop spreading rumors and slandering others. I have absolutely nothing to do with him. If it weren't for the fact that you were holding a child, believe me, I would have attacked you right now!"
